In March 2025, I embarked on probably the hardest challenge of my life, running from London to Manchester, completing five ultramarathons in five days with Radio 1 for Comic Relief.I don't think anyone anticipated how big the challenge would become - nor did I fully appreciate the scale of what I was undertaking, but needless to say it was a life changing experience and raised £2.26million for an incredible cause.I wanted to bring you - our wonderful Great Company listeners - a bonus episode of the show, to dive back into that week and give you insight into my reasons for running and the toll it took on me mentally. To be totally honest, I've not quite felt fully back to normal since completing the challenge, but I wanted to be open with you all and say that wherever you are, and whatever you're going through, you really are not alone - people are truly amazing and when we support each other, the world is a much brighter place that it can seem. It's ok to admit when you're not OK - in fact, it's more than OK, it's incredibly strong. So, after a few weeks to reflect, here's my open and honest account of that wild week in March, when we ran from London to Manchester.Jamie xYou can also follow us on Instagram and Tiktok @greatcompanypodcast and if you've got thoughts, questions and comments, you can email us at greatcompany@jampotproductions.co.uk--THE CREDITSExec Producer: Jemima RathboneAssistant Producer: Gurlina HeerVideo: Jake Ji & Ryley KirbySocial Media: Laura CoughlanGreat Company is an original podcast from JamPot Hosted on Acast. In this no-holds-barred episode, we tackle the damaging narrative surrounding masculinity today, with Jamie Laing recently weighing in on the importance of being real about your feelings. He says, "It's okay to be anxious, sad, and upset," but we push back hard against the idea that vulnerability should be the only trait men are allowed to show, questioning where the strength to lead and protect has gone. We dive into the dangers of woke culture, where being strong is demonised, and how this narrative is crippling men and society as a whole. It's time to stop wallowing in self-pity and start taking action. We need men to step up, lead, and be the strong figures their families and communities need.If you are want direct guidance and accountability in your life - join Mount Mindset. For this bonus episode, the tables are turned, and I'm in the hot seat! Producer Jemima, who's been there through it all, takes the reins to interview me!I open up about my time on Made in Chelsea, sharing how it shaped me, strained relationships, and led to social anxiety that pushed me to rely on alcohol as a crutch. Jamie Laing found fame in the second series of Made in Chelsea in 2011, and has gone on to rebrand himself several times.First as a veritable Willy Wonka, as the great great grandson of biscuit mogul Sir Alexander Grant, it is perhaps no surprise that he has created his own line of incredibly successful sweets. These days he is just as at home in the audio studio as he is on the factory floor, having just been named the new co-host of BBC Radio 1's Going Home programme, and has been a mainstay in the podcast charts for many years; from NewlyWeds, alongside his wife, to his new interview show Great Company. What then will he choose as his Inheritance Tracks...Inherited: Man! I Feel Like A Woman! by Shania Twain Passing on: MMMBop by HansonProducers: Ribika Moktan and Ben Mitchell

It's the irrepressible, unstoppable Candy Kittens kingpin, and voice of Radio 1's ‘Going Home' show, Jamie Laing. Among the (many) things discussed: the perils of reality TV, married life and the weird urge to snog people. Listen to Jamie on Radio 1, Monday to Thursday from 3:30pm. Today's guest is former reality TV star, turned pro-podcaster, Sophie Habboo. She may have found fame on Made in Chelsea but she's swapped sharing the details of her latest night out, for the ins and outs of married life on her podcast 'Newlyweds' with her husband Jamie Laing. She also has a successful podcast with her best friend Melissa, 'Wednesdays', where the duo turn agony aunt to answer listener questions. In this episode, she shares how she's come to terms with melasma, her newfound interest in clean make-up and the benefits of a salmon sperm facial.
In this episode of Style DNA I turn the tables and discuss all things style with fellow Podcaster Sophie Habboo. Sophie spent most of her 20's in the reality TV show Made In Chelsea. She met her husband Jamie Laing while making the show and the couple created the podcast NearlyWeds which became NewlyWeds after their wedding in 2023. She talks openly about trying to dress the part of a “Rah” Chelsea girl whilst on the show and not feeling like it was her, and she is frank about feeling a little lost when she came out of the show …after 6 years of toxicity and adrenaline (her words). Their 2023 wedding was much publicised and she talks animatedly about the journey and the many hilarious moments…she had not 1, but 3 wedding dresses, although a zip malfunction left her trapped in wedding dress number 1 for the first night! She talks about being inspired by her mother's style even though at times she didn't appreciate it as a kid at the school gates…and her mother once being invited to a wedding where the dress code for ladies was, wait for it – Amanda Wakeley… I had never heard that story and I needless to say I would LOVE to see the photos!
This week we're discussing Billie Eilish's viral comment about TikTokkers attending the People's Choice Awards and we go through all the drama at the BAFTAs, including Prince William's dreadful moment with Mia McKenna-Bruce.We also chat about the final of Love Island All Stars (what a flop) and the brand new season of Love Is Blind! Plus, we discuss whether Jamie Laing should be replacing Jordan North on Radio 1 and we pick our dream celebrity parents. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
