Hello Everyone! How the hell are you? We are so sorry that it has been a while since we posted. Between traveling, weddings and moving the Peas needed a break to get their lives together. But fear not! We are officially back! This week, the gals got together in person to drink (heavily) and to talk about one of the most iconic pieces of media…”Twilight” directed by Catherine Hardwicke. A couple of things, this episode we are trying a new format. So let us know what you think! Second, during editing we noticed the mic did become disconnected halfway through the episode, so we do apologize for the sound quality. Third, we heavily discuss the mistreatment and mis representation of the Quileute tribe and we wanted to share some sources on t how to help them and the Indigenous tribes during COVID, so here are some websites and resources where you can help: https://mthg.org/https://www.firstnations.org/covid-19-emergency-response-fund/

Hi Everyone! We are so sorry for the late release on this episode. Life has gotten a little bit chaotic for the peas. This week, the peas watched and discussed the truly iconic “Crazy Rich Asians” directed by Jon Chu. Hailed as one of the best rom coms of all time, and praised for it's all Asian cast, both peas love this movie...however does it hold up? Or will the peas be too upset at Nick's handling of the situation to enjoy this movie again. Don't forget to follow us on instagram @two.peas.podcast!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of 2 Peas in a Podcast! First we do want to send HUGE apologies to our listeners. Nat’s neighbors decided to celebrate Mother’s Day on a whole other level by having a live mariachi band (and honestly who can be mad at that?)Continuing with honoring Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we wanted to watch an actual good movie. This week, the peas decide to watch and discuss “Moana” released in 2016, directed by Disney’s iconic and *VERY* white Ron Clements and John Musker. This film was considered both a commercial and critical success, and while it was praised by many, critics and Pacific Islander activists we’re concerned about two white men directing a film about a young Polynesian woman. Listen on to find out how the Peas feel about this movie, and the mariachi band. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @two.peas.podcast! Here is the article for Vanity Fair that Nat recommends! https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/11/moana-oceanic-trust-disney-controversy-pacific-islanders-polynesiaHappy Listening!

However, it is the second episode of the month, and as the second episode of the month, we present you another volume of “We watched it so you don’t have to!” This month’s pick: “The Last Air Bender” released in 2010, directed by M. Night Shyamalan this movie has one of the worst cases of white washing. Based on the beloved cartoon animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” a series that is based on various Asian cultures and the main characters being visibly Asian or Native...the film adaptation...is mostly white. Join us as we watch (or at least try to) and discuss the importance of representation.

This week, the peas take on the sequel to a very beloved film...”The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” directed by Garry Marshall and starring Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews and making his feature film debut...Chris Pine! As children, the peas remember on this movie fondly, mostly the fact that Chris Pine was Natalia’s first ever celebrity crush...but re-watching it again for the first time ever after all these years...she might or might not have a crisis. Like...why is Nicholas (Chris Pine) exact lineage, and relation to the throne...are him and Mia related? Why is Mia making all these terrible choices? And you might be asking yourself....who the hell is GGG? Well, I guess you just have to listen to find out! Don’t forget to add us on instagram at @two.peas.podcast and feel free to leave us a review! See ya next week!

We have decided that once a month we will watch a bad (and I mean BAD) movie so you don’t have to! This week, we focus on “Kissing Booth” (2018) directed by Vince Marcello, based on the book by the same name written by Beth Reekles. Guys...when we tell you this is the worst movie we have watched for this podcast...we mean it. It contains every single trope of a rom com, but....doesn’t stick the landing. At all. Welcome back to 2 Peas in a Podcast! This week, it was Lindsey’s turn to choose the film and in order to get into the spirit of spookie season, she chose Coraline (2009) directed by Henry Selick. Not being a fan of scary or creepy movies, Natalia has avoided this movie since its release. But she can no longer run. Will she be able to appreciate the beautiful stop motion, the score and voice acting? Or will she watch the film behind her fingers? Listen on to find out!
