Today we have a very wonderful episode for you to listen to as we welcome the incredible Tran La from Voice Ritual! Tran is a creative sales copywriter for creatives, artists and coaches. She believes that traditional sales strategy has always held masculine energy. As we move towards AI Content, brands will be looking for more heart centered genuine words vs genetically created. We want to be ourselves and authentic in our Brands. And aligned with our own voices. Tran helps small creative brands sell their digital products and services most genuine to their voice and she specialises in Authentic Sales Pages. Tran added copywriting to her qualities in 2019. Intuitively realising that Sales Pages was what she felt called to do. She was then mentored by a 6 figure copywriter (who wrote for 7 figure coaches), completing the 7 figure Copywriting Course by Aman Assadi, and writing Authentic Sales Pages that continually creates cash flow to this day. Tran is also a mother to 2 young children. Before that, Tran owned a 6 figure maternity clothing brand, loved by Australian celebrities and influencers around the world. She ceased this brand due to her beliefs in greenwashing, the war on waste and sustainability. Now she focuses on Sales Pages in creative businesses, talks about masculine and feminine energy in sales and how to make AI Content authentic. In this ep, Sam and Cass chat to Tran about what copywriting is, when you need to hire a copywriter, what you can do to get started without one and the benefits of hiring a professional, how the masculine and feminine energies play out in copywriting, and how to use Chat GPT and AI to your advantage and make it work for you. Hello lovelies! This is a very special episode because it marks the end of Season 1 of A Creative Life! Cass and Sam are both on a high loving the gorgeous sunny weather, isn't it awesome when it feels like Summer has arrived?! In the last episode of the season Cass and Sam share their own personal stories and experiences of listening to their intuition and following messages from the universe. We hope this last chat is a good reminder for us all to get out of our minds and follow our intuition. We are ALL always being so guided. Sam pulls three Dreamy Moon cards that beautifully support today's topic and then we dive in. We talk about how everyone receives messages differently, often in the way that each individual wants to speak to the universe. Cass receives messages through occurrences that she experiences in life and Sam receives them in many ways but today shares how animal spirits come through to speak to her. Sam first shares the story of when she dreamt of her dog Luna being born and shares the wild story where animal medicine guided her move from Melbourne to the Mid North Coast of NSW. Note: When you hear Sam sharing the story of her reading with Guliz where Luna eats the rose bud…you need to know the rest of the story! Sam forgot to share in the episode but she later found out two things about her ancestor on her mum's side - that she lived in Italy and her surname was “La Rosa” (la rosa which means the rose in Italian!) Thank you all SO much for listening to ACL in 2022- we have LOVED this year with you and wish you all the best for the festive season. We are so looking forward to being back in your ears early 2023. If you have any feedback for us on the poddie, feel free to reach out. We love hearing from you! See you back on the airwaves in 2023 but you can catch us on socials before then. Big love! Cass begins by sharing how she knows Clare and what their history is before Sam dives into the card pull. As a money coach, Clare specialises in helping small businesses make more money by growing their PROFIT not just sales and she is a genius at working on improving money mindset. Clare shares her journey from being an accountant at a firm to consulting and running her successful business and how changing her money mindset has led her to living her dream life in her home on the water. Hello and welcome to a BIG episode on the poddie! Cass and Sam begin by sharing what is happening in their worlds - Cass is still in between studios and slowly setting up her new one and Sam just finished performing in a dance showcase. In today's chat we discuss intuition vs eg. Sam pulls the very perfect card “”trust your intuition” - at this point it is comical when these perfect cards come out, you just can't make this stuff up! We dive deep into this chat and begin by breaking down the difference between intuition and ego. Intuition comes from the neutral, non judgmental place that is the divine collective whereas ego is always fear based and comes from the idea that we are all separate. Ego is not bad though - we need our working, functioning brain. Intuition is what guides us to make decisions and the ego then helps us use our brain to get it things done. We distinguish the difference between a normal thought and intuitive thought and Sam breaks down all of the various types of intuition. Cass and Sam both share examples of when they have or haven't followed their intuition in life and business and what it has led to. It is a huge topic that we could talk about for days! One big takeaway is that life is easier when you surrender to it and just go with your gut feelings. We also have a BIG announcement this week!! THE CREATIVE COLLECTIVE WAITLIST IS OPEN!!! Check it out and pop your name down at www.acreativelifepodcast.com/collective acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Hello and welcome to another fun chat on ACL with a fresh new look! Cass is on school holidays and enjoying the holiday vibe and we dive into all things branding! Sam pulls a powerful card that says “use your power to bring this world love and peace” and we talk all about how branding represents your business which is your legacy and mark on this world and how you can use the power of your creative work to positively impact the world. Cass and Sam share their personal experience with branding over the years and how their various logos have represented who they are over the years. We discuss the importance of rebranding over the years as you need to. If your branding doesn't feel like you anymore, then that is a big hint to make a change! Branding that feels like you and that you are proud of will attract your dream clients. Some catalysts for a rebrand are a launch of a new product or collaborating with a big name client. If you are dreaming of up-levelling in your business, think about the biggest dream client you would like to work with and picture what your branding looks like next to theirs. Are you happy with it? If not, maybe it's time for a refresh. We discuss how it's okay for your branding to change over the years - we change and evolve as people and so does our business so our branding can and should reflect that. Don't be afraid to change it up! With the upcoming launch of our Creative Life Collective we felt the pull for a rebrand for the poddie. We will be launching a sneak peek this week. Check out our socials and the new podcast cover. We can't wait to hear what you think! x acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
We have got a special episode in store for you today! Both Cass and Sam are feeling fuelled and inspired by the extra burst of sunshine in their beach towns. Cass is also in a total holiday vibe with the sun shining and kids on school holidays and it felt aligned for her to get back on to Instagram so if you've missed her, she is back on the gram! The title of today's ep is full credit to Kate White, our Human Design guest expert from earlier this year on the poddie. She recently shared these words with Cass who then shared them with Sam and it set both of their hearts on fire!! The card pulled at the beginning of this chat is about connecting with your inner child, doing things that are fun and bring you JOY. The message is to nourish your inner child, go exploring, paint just for fun, go do what feels fun and joyful to you! This is what makes you feel most aligned and are the ways to get back into alignment. We break down what being in alignment actually means and how to feel aligned in moments where you are doing something that you don't love. Hint: it's in the small things that you can do! Remembering things you love like burning a candle with your favourite scent, having a special crystal nearby, listening to music that you love. Doing these things will lift your vibration and you will consequently attract more good things into your life. Sam shares her experience of dealing with a past horrible boss that was not alignment with her and the crazy thing she did that turned the entire situation around and in total alignment for her. We are here to remind you that alignment is a choice. Today's episode is your big permission slip to unapologetically go be YOU, go for the things you want to do, make those shifts and go do whatever it is that makes you FEEL GOOD and is in alignment with you. acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Hello and welcome to another exciting interview episode of ACL! Today we chat with one of Sam's good friends, Zoe from THREADJAM! Cass and Sam are both super pumped to share her amazing business journey. At the top of the episode Sam shares a story that she and Zoe had experienced that morning where they both encountered a bee in nature - symbolising hard work ethic and taking the time to stop and smell the flowers. Sam also pulls the Canary Spirit animal card to support Zoe to share her story. She is such a humble person so the canaries were definitely showing up to help Cass and Sam encourage Zoe to sing her own praises. Zoe has been in fashion production working with global brands for over 10 years and in March 2021 started her own business where she now brings other small business dreams to life by managing the production process. This includes technical documentation, liaising with overseas suppliers and factories that create your products, develop samples, conduct fit sessions, conduct costing and lead time negotiations, fabric sourcing, labelling and packaging. Her business THREADJAM really covers it all! Zoe shares her story of always wanting to do more in her life than a standard 9-5, then during covid she was made redundant and had a baby. After having her daughter Zoe wanted to create a life where she could have more time with her baby. She shared her business idea with her good friend, who you all know, Sam who pushed her along the way to get it up and running. Zoe shares what it was like growing a business so quickly, bringing her husband on board to the business, being a working mother and what she has in store around the corner. We get a glimpse behind the scenes of her flourishing business and she shares her advice for any creative entrepreneurs and start ups. Such a fun and inspiring episode. We have a SUPER exciting episode for you today as we share something that has been on our minds and hearts for a while now! We are both BURSTING with energy as we talk about this exciting new concept coming that involves YOU. At the beginning of the episode Sam pulls two animal spirit cards - Otter and Peacock. They are both perfect for what we are sharing today! Otter Spirit - “you are never alone and you are so loved” and Peacock - “shake a tail feather and show your true colours so that others may be inspired to express their own uniqueness.” We are truly emotional when these cards fall out and Cass gets teary hearing about Peacock Spirit because it is SO TRUE! It is your time to shine, step up and own your uniqueness and go for it!! So today's chat is all about sharing the idea we have had to bring this beautiful poddie community together. We hear from you guys and speak with you guys all the time and we know how INCREDIBLE you all are. Sam has given many of you readings and has witnessed what pure, beautiful souls you are. Now we want you to feel this by getting to know each other! We are creating an ongoing space - a ‘portal' we like to call it - which will be somewhere we can all connect. We have been working behind the scenes on this for a while now and want to share a bit about the idea with you today and get to hear what YOU want out of something like this! We see spiritual communities and we see business communities out there but we want to create one for you that combines both. A place to bring your biggest, wildest dreams and be supported and cheered on! You can hear more about this in the episode and register your interest/feedback at www.acreativelifepodcast.com/collective We can't wait to hear from you! x acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Hello friends! Today Cass and Sam tackle a bit of a different topic for them. The two eternal optimists highlight the notion that you can't positive think your way out of everything. We always work very intuitively with this podcast so we are bringing up what we feel collectively wants to come to the surface today. We feel that many people, including ourselves, are in a time of transition and we wanted to support you and share our current experiences. Sam is super calm after a slow early morning walking along the beach and having a coffee with a friend and pulls the card ‘Cracked Open' from the Starseed Oracle by Rebecca Campbell. This card is all about letting life crack you open to then allow the light to come in. Whether you let it happen or not, it is going to happen so this is an invitation to surrender to the alchemy of life. In this episode Sam and Cass both share what they are moving through in life and how they are navigating it. They highlight the idea that sometimes you need to make physical changes to your life rather than trying to positively “think” your way into manifesting things. Ultimately you manifest through your vibration - so you need to truly feel it and embody it for a manifestation to occur and sometimes that requires taking action to change what doesn't feel good first, rather than trying to positively think your way through it. We are super optimistic people so this is how we come to you on this podcast but we also have shitty days that we let ourselves feel. The difference is that we don't let ourselves get stuck in it. We inquire, work out what is and isn't working, ask for help if needed and move forward from there. We hope you enjoy this ep and can relate at this time in your life! acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com

We also find out what each of these beautiful souls are currently manifesting in their business before ending with a fun round of rapid fire questions. We loved spending time with these ladies and are sure you will love hanging (listening) with us too! @tinygiraffe.com @susannaapril @constanza.illustrates _______ acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Welcome back to another episode! Today we look at the idea that the pursuit of success can feel scarier than the fear of failure (that we are all so familiar with). Fear of success is a more subconscious belief and we dive deep into unpacking this underlying fear that can exist in so many of us. We all talk about falling on our face but what about facing being the most successful version of you?! Sam pulls a card that sets this chat off DEEP from the start - the message being that you are already whole. Breaking down the fear of success, we look at a number of things like being seen and wanting to be liked and wanting to be relatable. Sam shares how being seen was a fear of hers which stems from her experience as a person of colour in this world. For Cass, there is the big judgement piece around not wanting anyone to think that she thinks she is better than them. We both know that feeling of wanting to be liked and not wanting to reach a point of success above your family and friends where you can't relate to them anymore. This is why expanders are so important and surrounding yourself with community that pushes you forward. Here's the thing - you HAVE to be seen and lay your soul bare in order to be SUCCESSFUL. The two go together and we all need to learn to be at one with this. Pushing through that constant fear of putting yourself out there, caring less what people think and following the call of your inner self is what will continue to propel you to reach new levels of success. It's a big chat and we go deep before ending the episode with a listener question from Katrina about how to launch a course before you have a big following. Lots to take from this one. Enjoy! acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Welcome back! We are back after our quick break and are both feeling super refreshed and excited to be here! Cass is entering an exciting chapter moving into her new house. There is a fresh new energy in the air for the collective, are you feeling it too? We are both really leaning into this and loving it! It is almost like Spring has come early! In today's episode we chat all about why you need to F up in business. Sam pulls the most perfect Dreamy Moons card to start the ep that says “you are safe to make mistakes!” We dive deep into this topic and so many elements of it. One big message is that if you haven't stuffed up, you haven't tried. So we say get in the arena and give it a go! Sam shares an example of when she stuffed up at the beginning of her podcasting journey and how it led to an amazing editor and Cass shares when she stuffed up sending wedding invites to the wrong couples and how it was easily fixed and not a big deal in the long run! We are deep in conversation when the universe decided to make an example of us in this episode! The audio cuts out completely and it is hilarious! Tune in to hear how Sam had stuffed up in this very recording and how we decided to look at it with curiosity, fun and laughter. We are all human and we are going to make mistakes along the way, so be curious and don't get upset with yourself when those moments happen. Also remember that you are not a bad person if you make a mistake every now and then! We will leave you with this Brene Brown quote “I want to be in the arena. I want to be brave with my life. And when we make the choice to dare greatly, we sign up to get our asses kicked. We can choose courage or we can choose comfort, but we can't have both. Not at the same time. Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up…there is no innovation and creativity without failure. Period!” acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Today we welcome a very special guest, the gorgeous Brigitte May! We are so lucky to have Brigitte share for the very first time on a podcast and appreciate her making a debut on the airwaves with us! At the beginning of the episode Sam pulls the butterfly animal spirit card meaning ‘transformation' to support Brigitte's chat. As Brigitte shares her journey as a creative we learn about how it has morphed and transformed along the way. She shares how she has always listened to the whispers of the universe and we love hearing about one moment in particular that stands out for Brigitte - when she was living in a tent on a little island in Crete and dreamt that she was designing gowns. When she woke up she decided that she was going to study fashion design, started designing the gowns from her dream and found a course to study that very day. Before that she was tossing up studying veterinary science or psychology! Hello and welcome to our first community spotlight episode! This concept stemmed from our recent episode on loneliness. We thought it would be a cool way to bring our community together on the airwaves! This is the first of what will be a series of community spotlight episodes that showcase listeners from various creative industries. Our first feature is on graphic designers and we welcome Michelle (Mishku Studio), Katrina (Little Black Kat Creative) and Samone (Samone Shepherdson Art & Design)! We begin the episode by having each fabulous girl boss introduce themselves and their creative biz. Throughout the episode we chat about a range of topics such as challenges like lulls in business, changes on Instagram, social media marketing, self-doubt, juggling mum life, getting distracted working from home as well as what we love most about being a creative entrepreneur including the freedom and flexibility that comes with working for yourself, collaborating with beautiful clients that become friends and being creative every day. It seriously feels like hanging out with a group of like minded friends. So much fun!! We finish with a light round of rapid fire questions and then Kat and Samone share about their experience of Cass's Surface Pattern Design Course. Kat actually just booked in her first surface pattern design job last week! (after we recorded this episode) Congratulations Kat! Cass shares that enrolments for the next intake of her course is open. The course commences on 8th August and Earlybird is open 26th - 29th. We are soo happy to be back on the mic this week. This episode starts with a little life chat as it has been a while since we saw each other to record. Cass has been crazy busy moving house and Sam is on a high from the best weekend of her life (big call but it's true) surprising a friend for their 40th. Today we chat all about websites - what are the platforms? what is the best platform for your brand? should you have all of your services on one website or seperate websites? We cover it all! Sam draws the dragonfly animal spirit card at the start of the chat and shares a personal story of how this card resonates with her recent experience with websites and how various people who have transitioned came through to cheer her on while she learnt Showit for the first time. We then bring it back down to Earth and discuss tangible ways for everyone to consider when making decisions on websites. Cass gives advice to put a day aside to try the platform you are considering and then make the decision based on that experience and Sam recommends watching the instructional videos for Showit from the beginning if that is a platform you are considering. We discuss the different website platforms out there including Squarespace, Showit, Shopify, Wix and Wordpress. Cass shares how she uses Squarespace and the experience she had with Shopify that imparts the valuable lesson that sometimes there is just ‘hurt money' in business and that's a part of being a creative entrepreneur. Sam shares the pivot she is going through with her business and the launch of her new website www.samanthalaurence.com that brings all of her babies (businesses) into one place. She also shares the two new offerings with the launch of her website - Podcast Advice Call and 1:1 Mentoring. We discuss the benefits of having your website under your name and also the importance of not getting stuck ‘procrastibranding.' If you already have a good website don't feel like you need to change - if ain't broke don't fix it! On the topic of websites our next community spotlight will be on website designers so keep an eye out for the callout on Instagram this week. Cass also shares about her upcoming 3 day workshop on uncovering your style - a very exciting opportunity for a totally free experience. It's a big ep with lots of take from it! Enjoy! Today we are SUPER pumped to interview the incredible Leonie Dawson! A forewarning to this episode - there is a lot of swearing so you might want to save this one for when little ears aren't around. Leonie really loves to keep it real and we laugh the whole way through the episode. We hope you love it and laugh with us! Leonie shares her journey from working in government to running her multi million dollar business. Over the years she has created 180 e-courses (!!) and continues to launch new ones all the time. Cass is a long time fan of Leonie and is currently being coached by her and when Sam took a look at her work, we knew we had to get her on the poddie! Both of our ears pricked up when we found one of her recent courses on how to market without social media. Yours too?! So, in January 2021 Leonie did a 21 day challenge taking a break from social media and she never went back! She saw her brain heal and her life be filled with so much joy and creativity and self confidence. In this episode Leonie shares a bunch of ways that you can market without social media (too many to list them all here, you'll have to give it a listen to find out!) and her signature marketing plan method on a white piece of paper. Leonie also breaks down what she does with the 10 hours of work she does a week in her thriving business that brings in min $1M a year! She shares how she is motivated by money (and specifically what you can do with it) and how her business year is based on financial goals but she doesn't plan exactly how she will make money within that time. We cover all parts of her journey from when she first began, how she transitioned from her part time job into business and what her full time business looks like now. There are many nuggets of gold in this episode and at the end Leonie shares specific advice for creative entrepreneurs starting out as well as for those at the top of their game and wanting to up-level. You'll soon hear that Leonie doesn't take herself or life too seriously. This interview is playful and fun, just like her. Enjoy! Hi friends! On today's episode we chat about the fact that business can get lonely. We've all experienced it at one point or another, it's totally normal! Cass and Sam both share their experiences with this. For Cass, it takes her back to the start of her business journey when she had moved coastal, went full time in business, didn't have kids and was facing loneliness for the first time. For Sam, it is very much a similar scenario to what Cass experienced except she is currently going through this right now! We discuss ways that we combat this including coaching, accountability partners, friends in business that we chat with online or over the phone, listening to podcasts and creating your own team or community. They say entrepreneurship is the best self development because you really get to know yourself and it's true! This is a gift! The topic of loneliness in business can look different for everyone, depending on your personality. We discuss ways to structure your business so that it works well and feels good to YOU. If you're the only one in your family unit or friendship group that is in business, we get it but just remember that always comes down to THEIR own limiting beliefs. We want you to know that we get it, we're here for you, and always feel free to reach out to us too! :) acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
In today's interview, we welcome the talented Jemma Moon who is an astrologer, human design reader, psychic and reiki healer. She is magic personified! The episode starts with a card pull from Sam that says “You came from the stars so shine so bright.” Other than the fact that this seemed like the perfect card for an astrologer, Jem shares how the detail of this card resonates deeply with her and links it to the incarnation cross in her human design which is also links to her carion wound in astrology. Fascinating! And if that all sounds like another language to you, don't worry Jemma has a way of explaining it all so practically and easy to understand. Throughout the interview she shares how she followed her passion for astrology and human design to create the business she runs today, what business looks like to her, her vision for the future and advice for other creative entrepreneurs. acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
We have a SUPER special episode in store for you today. In a first for our podcast (and the first time that we have heard it done before) we are bringing you a LIVE astrology reading! We welcome the gorgeous Jemma Moon who talks through Cass' birth chart and gives her an astrology reading live on air. This is the first time Cass has had an astrology reading so it is all new for her to learn too! In this ep we find out whether Cass is a Leo or Cancer rising, Jemma explains what a Saturn Return really is, we learn about the synastry between Cass and Sam's birth charts and what that means for the ACL podcast! This is such an interesting episode, we know you are going to love it! Enjoy x acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Hi friends! It has been a couple of weeks since we recorded because Sam was travelling and we are SOO pumped to chat again today! Today is a special episode that we wanted to create for you to listen to on the days that you feel like giving up. We just want to acknowledge that we all feel like this at times and share that this is normal and okay. The start of this episode is nuts as SIX cards fell out for Sam! Seriously, an entire spread! We will save the contents of it for when you are listening but let us tell you that we are all sooo supported and this is clear in this spread that fell out for our listeners. In this chat we discuss how we are all at different stages. It is okay to compare yourself to other businesses as long as that doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. Let your business evolve in its own time and way. This could look different to other people and businesses that you admire and follow. We discuss finding the balance between the love of what we are doing with the goals we want to achieve. Cass and Sam both share moments they have felt business has been hard and what they do to keep going and moving forward. Cass shares how the early days were harder and it really did get easier for her. We talk a lot about knowing in yourself whether this path/your business feels right to you to keep going with it and Sam offers muscle testing to help you understand what your body is saying to you to help you make decisions and trust yourself. Some key takeaways are that it's all working for you, it's not working against you. If you're trusting and letting it unfold, it means that your vibration is relaxed and happy and so things will work out for you. We need to take responsibility for our vibration to attract more of what we want in our lives. Be honest with yourself. Connect back to what you are loving the most. We'll leave you with this mantra: “Everything is working out best case scenario.” acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Hello and thanks for joining us for another episode! Today we talk about honouring creative surges vs consistency in business. Two animal spirit cards fall out at the beginning of this chat to support this concept. We have the beautiful Starfish spirit (which looks like it could be from one of Cass' watercolour artworks!) reminding us to be open to endless possibility and infinite potential as well as the Flamingo spirit highlighting that planning has its place but letting the creativity unfold will help the next step present itself. We discuss how one of the drivers of consistency in business can be fear - for example the fear of feeling like we need to show up on every social media platform every day to achieve success. This is such a limiting belief and energetically feels so yucky to us! We LOVE the idea of opening up to infinite possibility, doing what feels good and allowing space in your business to honour your creative surges. Cass and Sam both share where they are feeling this theme in their businesses as they both move into new stages. It shows that no matter how long you have been in business or how successful you are this is something that will always be relevant at times. Ultimately we feel that consistency and planning has its place and is an important part of business, but not the only way. We recognise the importance of consistently showing up for yourself, for your intuition, for your business (however it looks to you at that time) but planning to an extent where there is still space for some magic and creativity to shine through. acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
On today's episode we welcome Rachael Turner from Front Porch Properties! After a warm welcome, Sam pulls a card to support Rach's journey which is the Dreamy Moons card "follow the path of least resistance." This message highlights a clear thread throughout the interview as Rach shares how she had such a strong pull to follow her passion of building modern storybook homes and it has continued to flow for her. Rach dives in to share her journey of creating her very successful building business and how she transitioned from her previous career running a classical music school as a pianist. She remembers being a little girl always fascinated by floor plans and house elevations and redesigning her family home. This is so clearly what she was always meant to do! After having the realisation in her late twenties that this was her true calling, Rach embarked on the journey of getting her building license and didn't tell anyone except her husband at the time about her dream of being a builder. She started with renovations of her own which went viral online and her business picked up momentum very quickly from there. Now Rach builds incredible homes for amazing clients with an incredible team. She shares the importance of a good team and how two beautiful women emailed her out of the blue and reached out to work for her. Both of which worked out perfectly! Nine years into business, Rach shares that she is now in a place where she doesn't want to have to hustle so hard and wants the business to work for her. There is a beautiful reminder here that we aren't the business, it is its own entity that you can and should have distance from. An example of what this looks like for Rach is that she doesn't like being called in the morning. She has now crafted her business to support her enjoying a peaceful morning routine before her work day officially begins at 9am. She shares about the importance of good trades and the current crisis in the building industry. We discuss Rach's natural style which is the essence of her - classical, her timeless homes match her love of classical music. Rach shares how she gave up on playing piano for a long time and how it has recently come back into her life in a beautiful healing way. We discuss what it is like being a woman in the construction industry. Contrary to what we expect, she hasn't come across any issues and she believes that "women do it better" and are actually so perfectly suited to building! A big takeaway from this interview is how Rach trusted her gut from the very beginning in business. More advice that she shares includes outsourcing before you think you are ready or can necessarily afford it, to know yourself and your strengths well and mold the business to suit you and to find your niche. We absolutely LOVED chatting with Rach and we know you will love hearing her story too. Enjoy! Hello! We are back after a week off and we are raring to go! Cass is having an amazing morning being early on a school drop off day and Sam is feeling pumped after an early morning PT sesh and breaky with a friend so it is good vibes all round! On today's episode we talk about perfectionism. The chat starts with a beautiful animal spirit card drawn by Sam which is the White Raven encouraging us to trust in life's magic. We love how this so beautifully highlights that if you are too PERFECT all the time you are missing out on the opportunity for the universe to works its MAGIC into your life. This topic is inspired by a Brene Brown quote "When perfectionism is driving, shame is always riding shotgun and fear is the annoying backseat driver." We delve deep into what this means for us as people and how we show up in our business. We break down the different types of drivers for perfectionism such as caring what people think as opposed to internally striving for excellence. Cass and Sam share whether they think they are perfectionists or not and how it might or might not show up in their businesses. Perfectionism is SO common. There is every chance that you have experienced it as some point in your life and business journey. If you are feeling it at the moment, maybe try asking yourself "what am I afraid of?" - this could help you gain the clarity you need or confidence to jump right in! We say just post that artwork, offer that new service, launch that website! At the end of the day these things can always be tweaked or removed later if it doesn't work out. People really don't notice as much as we think and ultimately remember why you are offering what you do. There are people out there that want to receive your soul's work! Think about all the people that would be missing out if you don't put your work out there. Go for it lovely! acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
In today's episode we talk all about overwhelm. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Don't worry Cass and Sam are going through it too during this week of recording! The chat begins with a Dreamy Moons card highlighting that your inner realm is a mirror for your outer world. We dive into a chat about the power of changing your perspective and how internally changing how you think and feel about the things that are overwhelming will change the way they show up in your life. Sam reminds us that we are 'human beings' not 'human doings' and highlights the importance of taking time to stop, take a breath and then revisit everything going on in your world. Both Cass and Sam share what areas they are feeling overwhelmed in their business and lives as well as their go-to tools for overcoming this. Some of these tips include simplifying your life and business, getting organised, implementing systems and processes, clearing the clutter in your physical environment and in your mind and journaling. Big takeaways from this episode are to look for the FUN in your business and follow that feeling and whatever direction that takes you in, as well as being kind yourself. Chances are if you are reading this and feeling overwhelmed, you are probably balancing a lot and achieving more than you give yourself credit for! Tune in and join us on the journey. We hope you leave feeling a little more calm and clear. acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com
Today we chat all about finding inspiration as a creative! We start the ep with a quick life chat. Cass shares about the exciting pattern review she has just experienced with her students at the end of the Surface Pattern Design course as well as getting back into the swing of life after school holidays. Sam shares about her indulgent weekend away at The Calile Hotel and the excitement of seeing her art come to life on samples for SOLI Sleep. Before we dive into the episode, Sam pulls a gorgeous Dreamy Moons card in relation to today's topic and it is AMAZING. The card is all about how magic we are and how we are literally made of stardust. Sooo gorgeous! Let's break down the areas that we discuss that each of us find inspiration in - going within (after all we literally came from stars so we can't get any more magic), other art forms, people and environment. We cover so many examples such as cooking, music, movies, nature, shops, interiors, cafes - there really is SO much in your life every day to be inspired by. Perhaps if you are feeling stagnant it is time to drive a different way home, walk somewhere new, listen to a new podcast or if you can even plan a little getaway. We loved recording this ep and hope you enjoy it and are left feeling super inspired! acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign acreativelifepodcast.com

We have such a jam packed episode for you today! We start with a little life update - Cass is coming out of her whole family having covid and Sam is preparing to go on a weekend away which is her first holiday since 2019 thanks to two years of Melbourne lockdown. As always from here Sam does a card reading for the episode. Two cards fell out for this special topic and some truly beautiful messages, such as we are the creator of our life and to take the pressure off ourselves and enjoy every day, shine through. Diving deep into this massive topic (and Cass' all time fave!) we discuss the difference between finding your style and uncovering your style. Your style is within you. The deeper you get to know yourself the more your style will reveal itself to you. It is not something that you can find externally. Cass shares her beautiful story of uncovering her style which includes her transition from interior design to graphic design and highlights how working with clients can help you uncover your style. It is a journey friends, let it be one! Through sharing client work that you love the most your style will reveal itself. When clients see the work that you love they will see and feel your energy. They are seeing you and that's where your style comes through. You are your secret sauce. Your superpower is you. Uncovering your style is about you being you. Both Cass and Sam share experiences where they have created art that feels so natural and very much like it is coming through them from somewhere else. Here is a link to the logo Sam talks about spending all night creating. Take home messages from this episode are to always find the joy in creating your art, let it flow through you, look within and also take the pressure off and accept and allow this to be a journey. acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign www.acreativelifepodcast.com
Today we tackle something that everyone has experienced at some point in their life, good old imposter syndrome. The episode starts with Sam pulling a card about nurturing your inner child which sets the tone for this chat. We discuss how children are so free from all inhibitions and are such beautiful examples of living authentically without any concern or tendency for imposter syndrome. We then highlight one of our favourite quotes from Henri Matisse that "creativity takes courage" and talk about how rewarding and empowering it is to do what feels good and feels right for you. This sets us off on a chat about surrendering and trusting what feels like the right path for you, the link between imposter syndrome and fear of failure, being your own cheerleader and the importance of support in your life. At the end of the day we are all human beings faking it til we make it. We encourage you to have the courage to take action before you feel ready and from there the magic unfolds. You will begin to have evidence for yourself to empower and motivate yourself to keep going. The episode ends with the vision of picturing everyone you meet as their inner child and what fun we can all have playing together in this life. When you see everyone as the inner child that simply wants to be loved and accepted as we all make it in this world, the fear dissipates and you will see that you really do have a place at the table. acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign www.acreativelifepodcast.com

On this new moon in Pisces we discuss pricing our work as a Creative. We look at the story that society has told us that time equates money and break down what is involved in unlearning this to start with a clean state. As creative entrepreneurs, what comes naturally to us is our gift and we can charge for it! The study, time and energy that you have put into honing your craft is what you are charging for, not just the time it took to complete the work. We encourage you to think about who your ideal client is and where their money frequency is at. It's all about getting your own frequency right about money and you will attract those affluent clients from there! An exercise you can try is creating a mood board with your ideal clients on it. We talk about the importance of setting healthy boundaries and saying no. Remember, clear is kind! By saying no to a job that you don't want to do and recommending someone else for that client, everyone wins! Follow the work and jobs that light you up. If it's fun and feels easy, then the money will flow. We also discuss the importance of creating space for new opportunities in your life. This applies to new clients with big budgets as well. Money is a form of energetic exchange. How does it feel to you? Sometimes there might be jobs we are happy to take on because there are other elements in the exchange that make it feel good and right for us. Remember it's okay to be where you are today, it's all about constantly moving forward and not getting stagnant. There is no cap on what we can be earning as creative entrepreneurs! @acreativelifepodcast @cassdellerdesign @reverlustdesign www.acreativelifepodcast.com
Today we bust the myth of the starving artist mentality! We replace the word 'artist' with 'creative' and break down what this mentality is and why so many creatives subconsciously have it. Cass and Sam share their experiences with this and how they each overcame it by employing various modalities like listening to Abraham Hicks and receiving hypnotherapy treatments. We also talk about the importance of expanders - a term from To Be Magnetic - check out the Expanded podcast if you're interested to learn more about this work. Cass provides details about her business' revenue over the years as an expander example of creating financial success from a creative business. She's so open and gives all the juicy details! We also look at herd mentality and how we have the power to choose the people around us. You can find your tribe and you are sooo welcome in this one at A Creative Life! In today's episode we look at why the energy of your work matters to your success. We discuss how what you do right before you start your work is the energy you come from. This is then poured out into your work and people feel it. It's a communication level that is unseen but people feel it. We feel people's art because it holds that individual person's pure energy. It's the willingness and courage to stay in trust mode and fuel your work from a pure energy place that leads to your greatest success. We also answer the listener's question about when to take the plunge from your side hustle to full time.
