Reach out! I'd love to hear from you!Talk from the women's conference at Fellowship Community Church on May 3rd, 2025. Have you ever noticed how certain songs, thoughts, or messages play on constant repeat in your mind? In our noisy world, we're constantly listening to something, but what voice truly shapes who we are becoming?Through personal stories of navigating blindness and the pressure to achieve, Ginny Owens unpacks the transformative power of "abiding" in Christ—the ancient spiritual practice that changes everything. Drawing from Jesus' powerful teaching in John 15 about the vine and branches, she reveals how we are always connected to some source of nourishment, whether it's career success, relationships, social validation, or Christ himself. The revolutionary truth is that we don't manufacture fruit in our lives—we carry it from whatever source we're plugged into. "What you revere is what you will resemble," Jenny explains, challenging us to examine what voice truly speaks loudest in our daily lives. Are we drawing life from temporary sources that ultimately leave us withering, or from the true vine who offers eternal nourishment? This message explores why God's pruning process, though painful, always leads to greater fruitfulness. Ginny vulnerably shares her journey from making "polite prayers" that created walls between herself and God to discovering the freedom of bringing her authentic heart to Jesus. She offers practical strategies—see, savor, and sing—for making Christ's voice the dominant soundtrack of your life.Whether you're feeling disconnected from God, struggling with anxiety, or simply desiring a more authentic spiritual life, this episode will help you recognize what's truly playing on repeat in your mind and how to tune into the voice that brings genuine transformation. Reach out! I'd love to hear from you!Talk from the women's conference at Fellowship Community Church on May 3rd, 2025. Have you ever felt like God's voice is impossible to hear amid life's chaos? Drawing from her experience losing her sight as a child, Ginny Owens takes us on a powerful journey from middle school bullying to discovering divine friendship that transforms even our darkest moments. When Ginny faced cruel treatment from the "mean girls" in the school cafeteria, her mother offered wisdom that would eventually reshape her understanding of faith: "Jesus is always your best friend, but there will be days when He is your only friend." Yet this truth felt distant and theoretical. After all, who cares if Jesus loves you when your circumstances feel overwhelming? If His love is real, how does it change your life? This question forms the heart of Jenny's message as she explores how we've allowed career pressures, comparison, self-doubt, relationship struggles, and digital distraction to muffle God's voice of truth and love. Through a beautiful examination of Psalm 19, she reveals how King David discovered God speaking through the grandeur of creation and the intimate counsel of Scripture.Ginny explains that the Bible isn't a rulebook but a living conversation with our closest friend who diagnoses our deepest struggles, speaks transformative truth, and offers unfailing love. She unpacks practical tools for hearing God's voice, including Tim Keller's approach to Scripture that asks: What truth can I claim? What command should I follow? What promise can I hold onto? How will my life change today? Most profoundly, she reminds us that God has spoken His love to humanity since before time began. "God loved you enough to plan for your infinite future before you ever had a past." The same God who spoke creation into being wants an intimate friendship with you today.Ready to hear God's voice above the noise? Reach out! I'd love to hear from you! What happens when decorating for a women's ministry event turns into a profound spiritual revelation? Join us for a heart-warming exploration of how stained glass becomes the perfect metaphor for our spiritual lives.Joanne Sharp takes us on her journey from Pinterest rabbit holes to divine inspiration, discovering that stained glass—unlike any other art form—requires light to pass through it to achieve its full beauty. This simple fact unlocks a powerful truth: we are like pieces of stained glass, each uniquely shaped and colored by our experiences, yet dependent on God's light shining through us to radiate His glory. The custom-made illuminated cross becomes a centerpiece not just for the event, but for understanding our connection to each other. When one piece of glass cracks or breaks, the surrounding pieces hold it in place. Similarly, even in our darkest moments, our sisters in Christ alongside us provide strength, support, and an unbreakable connection to the source of light. From Genesis where God first created light to Revelation where His radiance eliminates the need for sun or lamps, Joanne guides us through Scripture's consistent message of divine illumination. Jesus declared Himself the light, then called us to be light-bearers too. This gives us reason to sing even in darkness, knowing His unfailing love continually illuminates our path.Whatever shadow you're facing today, remember that God's light transforms brokenness into beauty. Together, we become a living stained glass masterpiece—colorful testimonies to God's redemptive work. Happy Monday! I am currently on a summer sabbatical to focus in on my first ministry, my family. However, I just had to record something placed on my heart this month. I pray it blesses you! Feel free to share and upload it for something else. *Warning- this is a VERY female related podcast* Romans 8:2626 "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."Reservoir: a supply or source of something. Today, we continue our series about the questions from God and Jesus. As we read from Job we can remember his hard story. Here we have a question from God to Job. It's a question that I believe we can all learn from. It serves as a beautiful reminder when we question. Listen in, be encouraged and share if you fee led. Job 38:1-4 Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said: (2) Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? (3) Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. (4) Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 1 Corinthians 13:12“Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.” (NLT)God is omniscient—He knows everything. However he ASKS questions! The questions God asks always serve a purpose. He does not ask to obtain information, since He already possesses all information; His questions serve a different purpose, and that purpose varies based on the context of the question and the needs of the one to whom the question is directed. The questions He asked in the Bible are still applicable TODAY! Want to submit a prayer request or praise? be on the show? Have a thought to share regarding the podcast?
