They dig into just how incestuous big beer in Canada is, BJCP certification for the dreaded Ontario Pale Ale,  and why no one cares about anything any more. On today's show, we chat with two - time guest, Jordan St. Cyr! It was when Jordan St. Cyr was a teen and served with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) that he found the inspiration to pursue music as a career. He eventually released an EP, and in the years that have followed, he has released more music and has received numerous life-changing opportunities to work alongside many talented songwriters, producers, and artists, all of whom have encouraged him along his journey. From playing numerous events of all sizes and meeting people from many different walks of life, humanity's deep desire for meaningful connection has been revealed to him and the hope to find something more vibrant than our current reality. St. Cyr dropped his first full-length self-titled album in the spring of 2022 with Seattle-based label, BEC Recordings. The project features the chart-climbing radio hits "Fires" and "Weary Traveler" - both of which offer a pursuit of hope, even in our darkest moments, to know that God gives us stories to share and encourage one another through our fires and weary travels, to give us strength in the midst of them. And it was “Fires” that quickly put St. Cyr on the map, hitting the airwaves on major networks and stations for nearly 18 months straight and reaching millions weekly and going top 5. “Weary Traveler” followed, which also became his first No. 1 hit single, taking the top spot on all radio charts. 2022 continued to be an astounding year for St. Cyr. He became a two-time GMA Dove Awards nominee, being recognized for Best New Artist and for Short-Form Video Of The Year ("Weary Traveler”), followed by sweeping the GMA Canada Covenant Awards with six wins, the most out of any other nominees and adding to his already five Covenant Award wins. He was recognized as Artist of the Year, Album and Male Vocalist of the Year along with Best Pop Song, Live Music Artist, and AC Artist of the Year. While he continues to create music and tour, Jordan St. Cyr is really just getting started. We have to build our life on something, if we don't we will fall. Jordan St. Cyr's sophomore album, My Foundation, resonates with those building their foundation on solid rock. He speaks through personal experiences that touch the hearts of all who have weathered storms.  “The idea of my foundation has never been physical,” Jordan explains. “It's always been this understanding of God as my heavenly Father; being the foundation on which I build my life on and the home I get to participate in building with Him for my wife and kids.” With all that Jordan has experienced the last few years, he praises the Lord for the outcome, “I now rejoice for all the gifts He gave us through the process.” 'My Foundation' is out today! jordanstcyr.com @jordanstcyr christianmusicguys.com @christianmusicguys --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/christianmusicguys/message

Ahead of the upcoming release of Chapter 4: Part II this week, let's catch up with what's happened so far in the story. Probably the most important thing to know is that Ryan wrote an ORIGINAL manuscript with mature tech themes set against the backdrop of Y2K titled "Overclock" that is not stolen. Ryan's enterprising agent J. Jordan St. Avalon thinks "Overclock" might have legs and is currently reading it to see if Ryan deserves an invite back to the industry.  Ryan did not steal this idea from Lydia Graumann, the Head of the Luke Pattersby Official Fan Club. He read her manuscript (which she forgot to put her name on) but it reminded him of a desk-drawer novel he had already written that had a few *barely* similar details.  Did you know we are selling shirts: https://www.patterspod.com/ Y2K was a big event that affected many and we are still studying its effect on society.  Let's see what else? Ryan was shown a mysterious mansion owned by Tawny Gatherbrook - leader of The Children of the Thrill, the shadowy group of authors tacitly responsible for the disappearance of Luke Pattersby and the last person to see him alive Fiona Caruso. Monomyth Publishing sponsors this group and it's fair to say that as far as this investigation goes, we haven't heard the last of this organization.   Written & Performed by Ryan Sandoval Music & Sound Design by Erik Jourgensen https://www.erikjourgensen.com/ Listen to Erik's new podcast The Glow: https://erikjourgensen.bandcamp.com/album/the-glow-podcast   Follow us here & support us today by sharing and becoming a patron: TWITTER: @patterspod Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/patterspod.bsky.social Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/patterspod TikTok: @patterspod WEBSITE: http://patterspod.com TRANSCRIPTS: http://patterspod.com/transcripts PATREON: http://patreon.com/patterspod FACEBOOK: I have no idea how to find the link to this page but it is there if you search I swear

There's no question that walking through something as painful as watching your child suffer will cause you to question your faith in God. Jordan St. Cyr, Canadian Worship Leader and artist, tells us about his daughter, Emory, and the health trials she's encountered since joining us here on this earth.Jordan's testimony is actually one of encouragement for all of us who have or are currently walking through a time of testing. He addresses that difficult time frame right between the blessing or miracle and when we're just believing in faith for that miracle. It's a beautiful place to exist, but it can cause us to fall away or draw closer to our Creator.Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”- - - - - - Sponsor InformationWorship Leader Institutehttps://www.worshipleaderinstitute.com/Additional Linkshttps://www.jordanstcyr.com/https://www.instagram.com/worshipleader/https://worshipleader.com/all-podcasts/https://authenticmedia.company/https://worshipleader.com/all-podcasts/our-host/- - - - - - Please subscribe to our social channels for more information and great content surrounding building a lifestyle of worship.
