Sean and Marc discuss Microsoft's big decision to not only raise up the price of their subscription service but also elected to remove Day 1 Games from their middle tier and make it exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate. Will gating away Day 1 games provide the FOMO purchase that Microsoft hopes it does? Is the prince increase a deserved one? Is this secretly about recouping money for Call of Duty? In today's Daily Fix: Just in time for Prime Day, Amazon is selling a bundle with everything you need to start playing Xbox games, and that includes NOT including a console. The bundle includes an Xbox controller (in a variety of colors), an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and a month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate—a savings for $40.99 if all those are purchased separately. Recently Microsoft announced a new Xbox app for the Fire TV specifically for playing games over the cloud, and this bundle definitely reinforces the "console-less" gaming future. Speaking of Xbox, July's Game Pass Wave 2 games have been announced, and you're getting Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Magical Delicacy, and Flock. If you Game Pass Ultimate or EA Play, you get access to EA Sports College Football 25 for 10 hours. And finally, Larian has revealed patch notes for the latest Baldur's Gate 3 update.

In today's Daily Fix: Xbox Game Pass is getting another price hike, and a new subscription tier (well technically it's replacing an existing one). If you were hoping to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Day One for "free," you'll need to subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, which will now be $19.99 a month. Sorry, lower-tiered subscription folks, no Day One games for you anymore. On the PlayStation side, new PS Plus games for July have been announced, and it's a good mix of action, adveture, rpg, and sports. Something for everyone. And finally, Nintendo posted a teaser for a mysterious horror game...which definitely seems out of character for the House of Mario, but it piqued our interest.

In today's Daily Fix: Microsoft released a new ad reminding gamers that you don't actually need an Xbox to play Xbox games. The ad features the Amazon Fire TV stick, with which you can launch Xbox Game Pass and play Game Pass games via the cloud and a bluetooth controller. It's not a new feature, but this seems to be part of an initiative to get people into the Xbox ecosystem without having to worry about a four-hundred-dollar console (just a monthly subscription to Game Pass Ultimate). But it may have some gamers worried that Microsoft is leaving consoles behind. In related news, one of the year's biggest Xbox titles, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, wasn't exactly the smash hit Microsoft was hoping for. The game received very positive reviews, but failed to make the top 10 in games sold in its release month of May.
