The GZ Chop Shop crew — Greg, Ty, and Ulysses — break down the biggest stories in gaming this week.First up: after three years of community hunting, Diablo 4's legendary secret Cow Level has finally been found — but is the payoff worth all that effort? The guys debate whether Blizzard should have done more with one of the franchise's most iconic traditions, and break down exactly how to unlock it (spoiler: you need to beat Lord of Hatred first and kill 666 cows). Then it's over to Xbox, where new CEO Asha Sharma is making moves fast. Game Pass Ultimate just dropped from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, Call of Duty is no longer a day-one title on the service, and the leadership deck is getting reshuffled. Is this the reset Xbox needed — or just a honeymoon phase? From there, Project Helix takes center stage. The next-gen Xbox console is generating more buzz under Sharma, but dev kits don't ship until 2027. The crew weighs in on whether the PC-console hybrid concept makes Xbox's identity clearer or murkier — and whether we even need new hardware yet.GTA 6 rounds out the main topics. November 19th is still the date, but the May 21st Take-Two earnings call is ten days away from this recording and the crew is watching the trailer situation closely.Plus: the Like a Dragon: Stranger Than Heaven trailer has Ty losing his mind over Tori Kelly, and the guys react to 86 Eighty-Six being pulled from Crunchyroll — which turns into a bigger conversation about streaming, licensing, and why the anime is always just the sales pitch.key topicsDiablo 4 secret cow level hunting processGTA 6 upcoming release and trailer expectationsXbox Project Helix development and future plansIndustry leadership changes and market strategy shiftsChapters00:00 The Discovery of the Cow Level in Diablo 406:53 Xbox's Leadership Changes and Game Pass Pricing18:51 The Future of Xbox Under New Leadership25:10 Microsoft's Leadership Changes and Xbox's Future28:26 Project Helix: The Future of Xbox38:07 GTA 6: Anticipation and Expectations45:01 Anime Adaptations and Streaming ConcernsVisit our Website: gzchopshoppodcast.comJoin our newsletter!Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/gzchopshop. Xbox is shifting the goalposts. While the industry often focuses on hardware sales and quarterly revenue, Microsoft is quietly pivoting toward a broader ecosystem play. From a new internal focus on Daily Active Players to a "recommitment" to the core community, the strategy is clear: it's about the player, not just the box.The handheld front is where this is most visible. With Auto SR finally hitting the ROG Ally X, Xbox is proving that Windows and AI can turn any handheld into a powerhouse. It's a win for flexibility and a sign that the Xbox experience is becoming truly portable and accessible. This strategic shift is paired with a bold move in value. By adjusting Game Pass Ultimate pricing and refining how they grow the service, Xbox is setting a new industry standard for subscription value. They aren't just competing on content; they're competing on long-term accessibility.Who are the XoneBros? We are your exclusive Xbox Series X & Game Pass weekly podcast. Episode #599: Xbox just did the unthinkable: they cut the price of Game Pass Ultimate. In an industry where almost every single service is hiking prices, Microsoft is moving in the opposite direction, resetting the subscription ceiling for the entire gaming community. This shift represents a fundamental change in strategy under new leadership, prioritizing accessibility and growth over immediate extraction. We break down why this "subscription reset" is the most player-friendly move we've seen in years and how it changes the landscape for the rest of the industry.Who are the XoneBros? We are your exclusive Xbox Series X & Game Pass weekly podcast. → También ¿Era sostenible meter Call of Duty? ¿Qué te obligará a comprar hardware Xbox?

In today's Daily Fix:Xbox has officially lowered the price on Xbox Game Pass. The Game Pass Ultimate tier is now $22.99, down from $29.99, and PC Game Pass is now $13.99, down from $16.49. This follows last week's leaked memo from Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, who told the Xbox team that Game Pass was too expensive. However, the Ultimate tier is losing Call of Duty as a day-one release, so future Call of Duty games will not appear on the service until about a year after their debut. In related news, Game Pass games for April and May have been announced, with the next iteration of Vampire Survivors leading the pack. And Capcom is having another very good year, with new release Pragmata selling a million copies in just two days. This follows Resident Evil Requiem, which has sold 6 million copies since its February debut.

Download Episode 1084 – We’ve got a long one here with news, a ton of reviews, and a visit from my old high school buddy Nathan Ide!The show kicks off with Bri Galgano, Jacob Garner, Aki, and Horror Acolyte on hand to welcome my good friend from my youth, and long time Security guy at Microsoft, Nathan Ide, to the show to hang out and chat about what he’s been up to since our days pumping gas in Nescopeck. We chat about his long career working with the security team at Microsoft, the projects at Microsoft and Xbox that he’s taken part in, how we absolutely ransacked that gas station of candy and snacks when we worked there, and tons more. Nathan is legitimately one of the best people on the planet to me and it meant a lot getting to catch up!After Nathan heads out, it’s time to tackle the news of the week including the latest additions and departures to the new, improved, and significantly more expensive Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox denying claims that they are exiting the console hardware business, Clair Obscur sales and updates, Nintendo Online SNES additions, Starbreeze layoffs, and tons more. It’s a massive batch of news and it all leads up to a massive pack of reviews as well including SOPA, a game about a stolen potato. My cat’s name is Potato. She’s the one on the YouTube image. In this episode of Bandwagon Nerds, the Nerds return to discuss the penultimate Episode of Peacemaker Season 2. This was a relatively short Episode, but boy howdy, did it pack all sorts of action, humor, shocks, and emotion into the little time they had. At the end of the day, Chris seems like a broken man, setting the stage for what should be an amazing and wild season finale. An extended trip to the Trailer Park explores the question of Who Killed the Montreal Expos? But we also explore another zombie apocalypse movie (We Bury the Dead), the almost guaranteed-to-be-controversial The Carpenter's Son, and an upcoming documentary about the one and only, Martin Scorsese. The Simpsons 2 is coming, but even the hardcore fans seem less than enthused. Speaking of being less than enthused, Microsoft alienated many Xbox owners by increasing the price of Game Pass Ultimate. On the other hand, EA stockholders must be thrilled as the company was sold for a staggering $55 billion! All this, plus the evolving landscape of AI continues to create issues in many circles of the entertainment industry.Powered by RedCircle@AttitudeAgg@WrestlngRealist@itsReyCash@PCTunney@itsmedpp@ViolentAesop@TheMindlessPod@therealcplatt@ChairshotMedia@BandwagonNerdsPROWRESTLINGTEES.COM/TheChairshot - Makes a GREAT GIFT!!!About Bandwagon NerdsJoin Patrick O'Dowd, David Ungar, PC Tunney, Rey Cash, and DPP as they keep everyone up on all things nerd and maybe add some new nerds along the way.
