Hi Friend! I hope your week is off to a great start! This week's verse of the week is Romans 8:28, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose." I know this is one that is hard to accept at times. How can Everything work together for good? How can anything good come from this horrible situation? Why did we have to endure so much pain, or why did our loved one...? But we have to take a step back sometimes and just know that God does have a perfect plan and, even if we are in the middle of a situation that seems hopeless at this moment, somehow someway there will be good that comes from it. I know from experience, looking back on all of my deepest darkest times, I can NOW see good that came from each of those circumstances. I am so thankful for you taking the time to do this!
In these uncertain times, doubt and worry can easily fill our minds, leading us to believe the worst and trust everything we see on the news and social media. But as Psalm 94:19 reminds us, we can find comfort and renewed hope in God. When we redirect our focus to God, He can ease our doubts and worries, providing us with the comfort we need to move forward with renewed hope and cheer. So let's turn to Psalm 94:19 during these difficult times and allow God to guide us towards a brighter tomorrow.
In this episode, we explore the meaning behind Proverbs 20:24, which reminds us that God is in control of our lives and directs our steps. It can be hard to let go of the need to understand everything along the way, but this verse offers comfort and guidance for those who struggle with the desire to control their lives. We discuss the importance of trusting in God's plan for our lives, even when it's hard to see where the path leads. As humans, we often want to know all the steps ahead and have a clear plan for our lives, but this verse reminds us that we don't need to understand everything along the way. Instead, we can put our trust in God and allow Him to lead us on the path He has laid out for us. Have you ever felt like you're waiting for God to fulfill a dream or goal in your life, but it's taking so long? I was reading Psalm 105:19, and it says that "Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph's character." This verse made me realize that maybe God is testing us and making sure our hearts are pure and our character is strong before He fulfills our dreams. We may think we're ready, but God knows what's best for us, and we may not be prepared yet. So, instead of feeling discouraged, we need to trust in God's plan and timing. We can reflect on our lives and ask ourselves if we have the proper character to handle our dreams. By developing our character and trusting in God's plan, we can find peace in the waiting and pursue our dreams when the time is right. Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! In this episode, we explore the power of God's mercies that are new every morning, as described in Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV): "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We often hold onto our past mistakes and failures, preventing us from moving forward and fully embracing the person God created us to be. However, these verses remind us that God's love and mercy are boundless and renewed every day, providing us with a fresh start and a new opportunity to grow in Him. Letting go of the past and accepting God's forgiveness can be challenging, but it is essential for our spiritual growth and freedom. By accepting His mercies, we can break free from the chains of our past and become the person God intended us to be. So, let's embrace God's new mercies every morning, allowing His love and faithfulness to transform our lives. In this episode, we explore the often-quoted verse Jeremiah 29:11, where God promises to have plans for our future. However, we also look at the importance of continuing to read verses 12 and 13 and the significance of wholehearted prayer in discovering God's plans for us. Many of us may feel lost or confused about our purpose and direction in life. However, God promises that His plans are for good and not for disaster. If we seek Him wholeheartedly and make prayer a priority, He will listen and guide us. By going beyond just reading verse 11 and delving into the context of the passage, we can gain a deeper understanding of God's intentions for us. We must take the time to seek Him with our whole heart, in everything we do. If you are feeling stuck and unsure of what God has planned for you, this episode is a must-listen. We discuss the power of prayer and prioritization in finding God's will and the importance of seeking Him with our whole heart. Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! Good morning and welcome to the Progress NOT Perfection Podcast! Today's episode is all about embracing God's grace and striving for improvement without the pressure of perfection. Our verses for the week come from Romans 3:23-24: “For everyone has sinned. We all fall short of God's glorious standard, yet God in his grace freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty of our sins.” As Christian women, it's easy to forget about the incredible gift of God's grace that we have received through Christ Jesus. We all fall short of God's standards and struggle to love and show compassion to others. But thankfully, God freely offers us His grace to make us right in His sight. We should always strive to improve ourselves and become better versions of who God created us to be. None of us are perfect, but that doesn't mean we should give up. Instead, we should embrace God's grace and allow it to fuel our progress. Join me as we dive into this important topic and discuss how to use God's grace to achieve our goals without the pressure of perfection. It's time to receive this amazing gift and start living up to God's glorious standard! Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! Join TravelForLess.world and save up to 70% on flights and hotels. Welcome to the Progress NOT Perfection Podcast! Our verse of the week is Ezekiel 36:26, which talks about God giving us a new heart and spirit, removing our stony and stubborn heart, and replacing it with a tender and responsive one. As we read this verse, we realize the need for a change in ourselves, especially in our selfish tendencies. We all strive to be compassionate and selfless individuals who prioritize others' needs before our own. However, we often fall short of our expectations. We must make it a priority to have a tender and responsive heart that exudes God's love in everything we do. It's hard to acknowledge how much work we need in this area, but when we read verses like this, the word comes to life, and we realize we can make a difference if we allow God to work through us. We need to pray every morning to remind ourselves of the person we want to be, the kind of person that others see and know that we are a Christian, a woman or man of God, and that we pour out the love He has given us to everyone we encounter. Join us on the Progress NOT Perfection Podcast as we aim to become better versions of ourselves, one step at a time, relying on God's grace and guidance. Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! Happy Monday, lovely ladies! Our Bible verse for this week is 2 Corinthians 12:9, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you. For my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.'" This powerful reminder is especially relevant for Christian women who are facing struggles and trials in their lives. It's easy to try to rely on our own strength and willpower, but we can take comfort in knowing that God's grace is always sufficient. When we embrace our weaknesses and allow Christ's power to work through us, we can find strength and peace in the midst of our struggles. As always, I hope this Bible verse of the week encourages and inspires you to keep pushing forward in your faith journey. Thank you for tuning in to Progress NOT Perfection, the podcast for Christian women who are ready to embrace their purpose and transform their lives through faith-based strategies. Traveling in 2023? Welcome to another episode of our podcast! This week, our verse is John 16:33: "Here on Earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but take heart because I have overcome the world." This verse is particularly fitting given the difficult circumstances we're currently facing. God is straightforward with us: we will face trials and sorrows on this Earth. However, we can find comfort in knowing that He has already overcome the world. As we navigate the challenges of this week, let's remember to place our trust in Him. Despite the trials we face, we can find peace and strength in His promises. Join us as we explore the meaning of this powerful verse and learn how we can apply it to our daily lives. Welcome back, friends! Today's Bible verses are Philippians 4:11-12. In these verses, Paul reminds us that contentment doesn't come from material possessions but from the Lord. Whether we have everything or nothing, a full stomach or an empty one, we can learn to be content. It's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of material things, but true fulfillment comes from a relationship with God. This week, let's focus on finding contentment in Him and appreciating the blessings of each moment. Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! Happy Monday, dear friend! I hope your weekend was wonderful. Our Bible verse for this week is Psalm 118:5, which says, "In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free." I find this verse incredibly powerful and relevant for these times. We all face struggles and battles in our lives, and it can often feel overwhelming. But this verse reminds us that we can turn to God in our distress and He will answer us and set us free. May this verse bring you comfort and hope as you face your own battles this week. Happy Monday to, my dear friend! I hope you had a restful weekend. Our Bible verses for this week are from James 1:19-20, which remind us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. It can be challenging to put this into practice, but it's essential for fostering healthy relationships and promoting righteousness. What if we made a conscious effort to truly listen to others and validate their perspectives instead of always trying to prove our point? Imagine the connection and understanding that could be fostered in our relationships! In a world full of division, we can be the change by embodying these principles in our daily interactions. As always, I hope these verses inspire and guide you throughout the week. Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! Join TravelForLess.world and save up to 70% on flights and hotels. Happy Monday, my lovely friend! Our Bible verse for the week is James 4:8, "Come close to God and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world." This verse is a powerful reminder for us to stay close to God and keep our hearts and minds focused on Him. Welcome, dear friend! I'm excited to share with you this week's Bible verses from Philippians 3:13-14. The verses remind us to focus on forgetting the past and looking forward to the future with faith and hope. Oftentimes, we tend to dwell on our past mistakes and failures which hinder us from becoming the person God intended us to be. Instead, let us press on towards the goal and trust in God's calling for our lives. Join me in reflecting on these verses and how we can apply them to our lives today. Traveling in 2023? Hey there, friend! It's Monday again, and I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Our verse for the week is 2 Timothy 1:7, which says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." Living in fear is something we can all relate to, but it's important to remember that God has given us everything we need to overcome it. By keeping our focus on Him, we can tap into the power, love, and self-discipline He's given us. Traveling in 2023? Don't break the bank! Happy Monday, friend! As we approach the end of 2022, it's important to reflect on our past decisions and learn from them. This week's verse, Proverbs 27:12, reminds us that sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it, while unthinking people will walk right into it and regret it later. We all have moments where we know we should avoid certain things but choose to do them anyways. Let's take this time to reflect on our past choices and learn from them so we can make wiser decisions in 2023. Join me in today's episode as we dive deeper into this topic. Traveling in 2023?
