Later that year, he moved to Berlin and joined the artist agency Odd Fantastic as a production assistant. His responsibilities included booking travel, arranging visas, organizing tours, and managing all production-related matters. Currently, he works at Frills as a booking manager, handling bookings for Tom Trago, Parallx, Afem Syko, Miura, gome, and Alva. Once a year, he also takes on the role of artist care at the Crave Festival in The Hague. We meet Antal Heitlager, the founder of Rush Hour Records. Antal is obsessed with records – and in the 23 years since he started selling vinyl out of his university accommodation, he’s turned Rush Hour Records into one of Amsterdam’s most treasured dance institutions. His endless crate-digging has defined Rush Hour’s eclectic catalogue, where 80s coldwave and classic Chicago reissues sit alongside homegrown house from locals like Tom Trago and Hunee. In this episode Antal tells Chal how he’s kept his love of digging alive through thick and thin, traversing the shift to digital and surviving two bouts of cancer, to find that the best time for new music is always the present. Yuri Boselie has been an integral figure in the Dutch electronic music scene for many years. Based in Amsterdam he has worked tirelessly holding down residencies at the likes of Club 11 and Trouw for many years and he now rules the roost at the infamous De School. He is closely affiliated with both the Dekmantel crew and Rush Hour and has crafted a unique take on dance and club focussed music by taking risks and playing whatever, whenever. You never know quite whar your going to get from one of his sets and over the years he has blown the roof off of clubs with curveball selections across the realm of house, techno, garage, hip hop and all the spaces in between. As a producer he has worked with a number of labels and has released music both independently and collaboratively with the likes of Breach and Tom Trago. This Wednesday will also see him announce the launch of a brand new label. All of the above is tied up with a regular show on Red Light radio which acts as an outlet for his own experimentation and love of music. On the 27th of December he will join a heavy hitting line up at XOYO as part of the Dekmantel Soundystem residency where he will play alongside Antal, Orpheu The Wizard and Interstellar Funk We invited him to record a mix which he does in fine spirit.

Tom Trago has long been one of the leading lights of the Dutch electronic music underground; a globe-trotting DJ, producer, live performer and label owner who enjoys nothing more than championing both overlooked gems and fresh sounds from his own country. Based in Amsterdam, Tracey is an esteemed selector with a celebrated history behind the decks in his native Holland. He has now turned his hand to producing, having releasing tracks on the Tom Trago curated Voyage Direct label. Rightly he won praise for his first 12” as Tracey, Skyfall, which surfaced in early 2017. Combining elements seemingly inspired by vintage Detroit futurism, ‘90s ambient techno and his own love of colourful synth melodies, the EP saw Tracey set out his stall in impressive fashion. His sound is rich, deep, mature and captivating.

Those in the know will be aware that Tom Ruijg is no newcomer to electronic music. However, his new alias Tracey is. Earlier this year marked the release of a new project, an EP surfaced on Tom Trago's Voyage Direct label which was packed with analogue laden house and techno. A distinct contrast to the floor filler esque house most commonly associated with the Amsterdam based producer he has reasserted himself with authority. We caught up with him as he delivers a mix for Ransom Note.
