This collection showcases a wide sonic spectrum, from experimental vocal pieces to club ready floor killers. With work of Indonesia's Senyawa, where vocalist Rully Shabara's electrifying range blends with Wukir Suryadi's processing of (handmade) instruments. Hailing From the UK, MAP71 offers hypnotic poetry layered over pulsating electronics, driven by Lisa Jayne's surreal lyricism and Andy Pyne's ritualistic rhythms. Swedish experimental techno producer Peder Mannerfelt brings his raw energy and genre-defying sound. Dutch techno pioneer Unit Moebius Anonymous takes a second stab at Juzer, a project by Beau Wanzer and Dan Jugel, delivering heavy hitting industrial-tinged rhythms. Lastly, The Modern Institute brings their avant-garde, deconstructed take on techno, blending industrial noise and playful experimentation to create a truly unpredictable sonic experience. Co-mixed with @Aasthma. There are few people who have had as much of an impact on contemporary electronic music as Karin Dreijer, whether with their brother Olof in The Knife or with their solo project, Fever Ray. From massive indie-pop hits to paradigm-shifting dance records, Dreijer's work takes a psychedelic, plasticine approach to synth pop, with their trademark pitch-shifted vocals and psuedo-tropical beats. As Fever Ray, they've tapped into the global club music underground, working with producers like Nídia, Paula Temple, Deena Abdelwahed, Vessel and, on new album Radical Romantics—one of our favourite albums of the year so far at RA, hands down—even Nine Inch Nails. Another important collaborator in Dreijer's world is Peder Mannerfelt, the Swedish techno producer who has been working with Fever Ray since the first album back in 2009. He co-mixed this RA Podcast as part of Aasthma, his duo with Pär Grindvik. The mix is a survey of Dreijer's favourite dance music, some of which informs their one-of-a-kind sound world as Fever Ray. There's plenty of music from the groundbreaking East African scene centered around Nyege Nyege Tapes, plus DJ Haram, Equinkoxx, Tayhana and more, and even two exclusive, upcoming Fever Ray remixes from Avalon Emerson and Nifra. It's a rare look into the musical tastes of a true visionary. Read more at https://ra.co/podcast/883

English: From obtuse angles to intense physicality, Peder Mannerfelt’s highly individual take on techno demands attention and consideration. While his many-sided body of work reaches back more than a decade, the Swedish producer’s current investigations in the field of experimental dance music are as prolific as they are unpredictable. After a series of albums as Roll The Dice alongside Malcolm Pardon, he lent his production skills to Fever Ray’s acclaimed debut album and 2017’s Plunge and is currently busy exploring a new strain of techno-pop together with Pär Grindvik as Aasthma. Working under his own name Mannerfelt’s sonic imprint can be most acutely felt. Accompanying appearances on Voam, Hinge Finger, Numbers and more, he established his own label Peder Mannerfelt Produktions to carry the bulk of his output, and that of kindred spirits such as Klara Lewis, Code Walk and Sissel Wincent. Peder Mannerfelt music is always rooted in the kinetic energy of techno even as it seeks to break down the genre’s rigid, illusory formulae. Peder Mannerfelt’s highly individual take on techno demands attention and consideration. While his many-sided body of work reaches back more than a decade, the Swedish producer’s current investigations in the field of experimental dance music are as prolific as they are unpredictable. **TRACKLIST + a place to discuss and stay up to date with Slam Radio=> bit.ly/SlamRadioGroup From obtuse angles to intense physicality, Peder Mannerfelt's highly individual take on techno demands attention and consideration. While his many-sided body of work reaches back more than a decade, the Swedish producer's current investigations in the field of experimental dance music are as prolific as they are unpredictable. To date he has recorded an accomplished series of albums as Roll The Dice alongside Malcolm Pardon, explored a more direct strain of techno as The Subliminal Kid and also lent his production skills to Fever Ray's acclaimed debut album and 2017's Plunge. https://soundcloud.com/the-subliminal-kid https://www.instagram.com/pedermannerfelt/ https://twitter.com/PederMannerfelt Listen to all Slam Radio shows here soundcloud.com/soma/sets/slam-radio facebook.com/Slam.soma instagram.com/slam_djs twitter.com/slamdjs slam-djs.com Subscribe on Spotify: bit.ly/SlamRadioOnSpotify Subscribe on iTunes: itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/slam-radio/id584845850 Slam Radio is produced at www.glowcast.co.uk For syndication or radio queries, email conor@somarecords.com and contact@syndicast.co.uk
Australian singer Penelope Trappes came into her own on Penelope One, her debut solo album released via Optimo back in summer of 2017. She followed it up with her sophomore release Penelope Two at the end of last year, this time making a home on fabric's inhouse label Houndstooth. Musically both albums signalled a shift away from the dancefloor-focused productions she'd become known for as one half of The Golden Filter; think minimal soundscapes, distant echoing vocals and sparse atmospheric textures wrought with emotion. June saw the release of Redeux, her second LP on Houndstooth, which saw her invite several producers to rework the original tracks first heard on Penelope Two. Amongst those tasked with creating their own reimaginations were Cosey Fanny Tutti, Mogwai, Throwing Snow and Aasthma, the collaborative project of Peder Mannerfelt and Par Grindvik. For your listening pleasure she provides an immersive mix of cinematic sounds and textures to see you through hump day, including several of the reworks from Redeux...
After a few years bubbling under, Cera Khin could well be about to breakthrough. And few deserve it more than the Tunisian born, Berlin based artist as she is busy on many different fronts, from hosting radio shows on NTS and Noods to running her own LazyTapes label. It has put out music she has made with Ossia as well as solo 12”s from Peder Mannerfelt, but her has not as yet showcased the full breadth of her tastes which range from Afro to Egyptian grooves, grime, rave and ambient. This mix is just as wild and full on from the off, but more directly focussed on the dance floor. High energy techno ranges from mutant to acid to hardcore, with corrugated ghetto funk and euphoric rave all mix in with tight and technical skills. It’s a blistering introducing to how Khin sounds in the club and is a great way to kick start your week.
Exquisitely eccentric club sounds. Read more here: https://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast-episode.aspx?id=669 @the-subliminal-kid

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from producer, sound artist, and overall creator Machine Woman. Born in Russia but based in Nottingham, Machine Woman is the artist name of Anastasia Vtorova. Inspired and influenced by late-night listening of downbeat minimal electronica, as well as melancholic worldwide cinema, Machine Woman's sound and live show focus on waltzing the line between techno and avant-garde. Releasing on labels such as Peder Mannerfelt, Tesla Tapes, Technicolour and a range of others, Vtorova also runs the label Take Away Jazz Records, which has released music from the likes of DJ Half Price Lager and herself. For her mix, Vtorova selects a range of intimate, personal and flavourful techno, with a few exclusive from herself.
Swede Peder Mannerfelt makes music that is hard to categorise. And whether producing for Fever Ray and Blonde Redhead or serving up albums and EPs on Archives Intérieures and Hinge Finger, he is fiercely inventive. From experimental tribal concept music like his The Swedish Congo Record to the disassembled and goth-tinged techno rhythms of his latest, Controlling Body, he always pushes boundaries in bold new ways. He is an artist who likes to forget what he knows and go with his instincts, and it has resulted in a body or work that is truly beguiling. His mix for our series is just as esoteric. It is a two hour collage that starts of as a voodooistic brew of shamanistic rituals, abstract noise and kinked techno that takes you to a dark foreign world. From there there are some more traditional passages of drum rhythms and wild machine-made sounds as well as diversions into plenty more uncategorizable sonic spheres thanks to tracks from the likes of Pinch, Errorsmith, Vatican Shadow, Machine Woman, Umfang and tens more. It’s music as warfare, as cinema, as experimentation, and it sounds like nothing else out there.
Double-sized edition of MTH this week featuring new music from Steffi, Not Waving, Hannah Peel; remixes by Plant 43, Peder Mannerfelt and JLin; and a celebration of ten years of Front & Follow. Plus the upcoming New Forms Festival! Too much.
Holer 4 rampages through a bunch of new finds for us, dipping deep into things like Seekers International, ravey Peder Mannerfelt bits and a square wave grime assault. There’s carnival heat from DJ Die via his Gutterfunk label, bursts of UK Funky into some banging big drum Belgian techno numbers like Capricorn’s 20Hz. We jump on the riddim bus for a Sleng Teng excursion and stop off with versions from Screechie Nice to JD Twitch among others. Elsewhere, the mighty Tenor Fly (who died the summer just gone) squares off with Starkey Banton on the merits and sins of jungle music. Set those lazers to bashment rave! And Ciaran finally gets to unload a rake of footwork with some Zed Bias and DJ Rashad joints. But not before pulling together a little segment devoted to Mark Fisher who passed some weeks ago. It’s got couple of his favorite tracks from a time when we could still imagine a future and drops a really salient speech from the man himself. USMARADIO media partner del MODULO FEST 2017 "Catene, lamiere, cancelli. [...] Il suo obiettivo, dice lui, è rinchiudere l'ascoltatore in una scatola di metallo, imprigionarlo e incatenarlo con suoni stordenti, pesanti e metallici. Forse avrete già sentito parlare di Peder, forse no, ma solo perché in passato ha lavorato su un'enorme quantità di progetti di notevole successo sotto diverso pseudonimo. Forse lo conoscete come “The Subliminal Kid”, forse come componente del duo “Roll The Dice”. Fonte www.magma.zone

Shock World Service 032 At The End She Was Gone by Jon Averill 09/04/10 London, United Kingdom 1. Idioma – Landscapes It took me weeks to settle on the right track to open this episode but I think this was the right choice, or maybe not, can I change? 2. Luke Vibert - Sharp A2 This is a track i've loved for years but never really had a chance to share. Its taken from the Mo' Wax compilation 'Headz 2'. Luke Vibert has produced astounding music no matter what style he applies himself too. This track has the elements of what became a the clichéd 'trip-hop' style but when the piano drops the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. 3. Roll The Dice - Guadeloupe A more positive aspect of the internet music revolution is the chance to discover music that may have otherwise passed you by. Roll The Dice are a case in point. An enchanting collaboration between two Swedish studio boffins, Peder Mannerfelt & Malcolm Pardon. 4. Sir Lady Java - My Mom Said This song took me about fifteen years to track down & as far as I know it was never officially released. Its taken from a soundtrack to the H-Street skateboard video ‘A Soldier's Story'. Thinking back my first exposure to alternative music came from the soundtrack to skate videos. 5. Harold Budd - Neil's Theme Harold Budd, an American ambient/avant-garde composer (& sometimes poet). ‘Neil's Theme' is a collaboration with Cocteau Twins & Violet Indiana guitarist Robin Guthrie and is taken from the soundtrack to ‘Mysterious Skin'. 6. Moondog – Couplet The shortest ever track on the podcasts comes from Moondog. An artist I have become obsessed with recently so no doubt you'll be hearing a lot more from him in forthcoming podcasts. 7. Lionrock - Snapshot On Pollard Street I recently rediscovered Justin Robertson's 'An Instinct For Detection' from 1997. Another release that that has been lost in the mid nineties big beat mist. 8. Hawkwind - Welcome To The Future Freakout interlude from the legendary English 'space rock' act. 9. Piano Magic - A Fond Fairwell From their latest album 'Ovation'. On first listen it reminded me a lot of Dead Can Dance & on further investigation DCD percussionist Peter Ulrich features on this track. So basically what i'm saying is that I was absolutely right. 10. Popul Vuh - Der Tod De Corba Verde Another act that have been a huge influence on me since I was very young. This track is taken from the ‘Cobra Verde' OST. 11. Luisine - Two Dots One of the first tracks I picked out for this podcast when I started it way back in 2009. Its a perfectly formed piece of electronic pop & sonically it has a lot in common with this podcasts opening track from Idioma. 12. Brian Eno – Becalmed Brian Eno could be the one artist who best sums up the World Service. He's appeared numerous times in episodes from our DJs. This track 'Becalmed' is from my favourite album of his, 'Another Green World'. 13. Adrian Munsey - I Think Its Going To Rain Today A crackly old 7" 'I Think Its Going To Rain Today' is a Randy Newman track has been covered by David Gray, Bette Midler, Claudine Longet, Judy Collins, Dusty Springfield, Neil Diamond, Peggy Lee, UB40 & Peter Gabriel. This may be the best version. 14. Orbital - Belfast/Wasted In my teen years while most were listening to Nirvana and other long haired paragons, my walkman cassettes principally contained music from Orbital. It probably speaks volume of my lack of emotional depth that two middle aged bald men making instrumental music were the most important band of my teenage years. This is a rare version of 'Belfast' released as a promo only in 1995 and features new vocals by Grant Fulton. In memory of Maria Averill
