    Maria is a first-generation Salvadoran-American. She was born and raised in Yonkers, New York. She lived in Florida for a few years throughout her childhood but eventually made her way back to her hometown. With most of her family living in Yonkers, she has always had strong ties to the city. As a teenager and a student of Lincoln High School in Yonkers, NY, Maria began to teach herself about mental conditions through their Scientific Research program in hopes of understanding her mom better. This sparked her passion to learn more about the human mind, as she went off to earn a bachelor's in behavioral sciences. As so, she recently founded a nonprofit organization named Que Paso Latinx, Inc.     Rebecca West Hensinger is Mrs. Pennsylvania America 2019. She was awarded the title on April 6, 2019 at the Ware Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Her pageant platform is “Educational Equality.” In August, she will compete at the National Mrs. America competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rebecca is an award-winning Ironman Triathlete. She has completed triathlons on four continents and was a member of Team USA triathlon 2018. She has been awarded All World Athlete Ironman status 3 years in a row and currently holds Silver status for her international top 5% age group finish times. She is currently in active training to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with her husband in 2020. As a young girl, Rebecca received a community mentor who changed the path of her life in many positive ways. Because of that, she is passionate about serving her hometown community through inner city school mentoring programs, such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley. Most recently, she and her husband founded a scholarship and foundation for Allentown students called “Crowns for Kids.” Through the foundation, Rebecca hopes to not only assist in the attainment of higher education, but to also spread awareness of the power of supportive and meaningful relationships. Sometimes life may feel as if its moving to fast and you are not doing enough, or a project may feel out of alignment or maybe you put to much in your plate and you don't know what to do well I can relate to all this of this and it is why I needed to take time off of everything I was doing so I can take care of my mentally and physically and I am so happy I did.     We are seeing it all around folks in social media, in magazines, friends and family about getting healthy & fit.. I am all for it. I have tons of favorite healthy things to do.. Do something that makes you feel good and keeps your body moving, but lets talk about being healthy and what does that look like for you? Are you working out because everyone else is doing it and you feel like you must? Are you just feeding yourself certain meals because that what you heard you should do? Do you have a "cheat meal" and all of a sudden you feel as if you sabotage your whole regimen? What are you feeding your mind? What are you doing daily to stay positive & focus? What are you telling yourself when you have a bad day? Healthy is not just the meals you eat, the workouts you do. there is more to that. Its the words that you are feeding yourself, the things you are telling yourself about you, the way you are treating yourself daily... Write out what did you learn about yourself, things you would do differently if they show up again in 2019 and how would you make different choices or changes for you. 3) What are the TOP 5 things you want to accomplish this year? 4) Vision yourself as if it was already Dec 2019 (YUP I said it) and write out your 5 top things you want to accomplish as if it has already happen. How does it feel? how does it look? write out your vision for this year as if it already happen? everything from where you are living, new job, business venture, a project you have held off and even your health.. 5) Lastly, this is an every night task but 1 thing you did great today. I want. you to begin to start writing one thing great you did. It can be washing dishes, making bed, send an email, made a phone call. I want you every night write out your wins daily.
