The pentagon doesn’t have answers for something that could potentially be an act of war from another nation against America. What’s going on in New Jersy with these car sized drones? The constant tyrannical attacks against the American people from the FBI. Should Homan go after red areas or blue areas when he starts deporting people? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
While the powers that be are calling them drones lots of folks still call them UFO's and New Jersey has a bunch! From the backyards in the suburbs to a local military base the UFO's seem to be wearing out there welcome. Listen in to learn more.
Today's episode addresses the Elephant in the Room: The recent scandals involving Jack Bishop and his Gravel Road Market events. Dean, Alison, and Pamela felt it necessary to address this out of respect for the fans and everyone involved who have been affected. We discuss the history with Jack Bishop, the status of Little House fan events, the recent happenings involving Jack Bishop's Gravel Road Market and what were supposed to be cancelled events. Sadly, the cast has had to address further grievances, with more public awareness including an article in People Magazine and a piece on NBC News's Connecticut affiliate (both linked in the show notes below). After the shocking mishandling of the Connecticut and Lancaster events, we discuss the impact, the aftermath, how the amazing fans have galvanized, and the hopes for what's ahead in the Little House events universe (it's gonna be GREAT!). On a lighter note, check out our feature in Buzzfeed! Alison and Dean were featured this week in a great interview, which also featured the Podcast! Pamela discusses her recent experience in a developmental workshop of a new musical in NYC and her upcoming show “Twisted Christmas”, premiering at Green Room 42 in NYC on December 3,5 and 6th. Hour 4 It looks like the Orioles are a team that's for real this season. The Mets went from a 5 game winning streak to dropping 2 straight to the Cubs, including last night to our enemy, Marcus Stroman. The Cubs are another terrible baseball team the Mets should be beating. There is also no way the Mets can send down Francisco Alvarez. C-Lo returns for an update but first we talked about Gio's diet and how it will survive the Summer eating season. The Yankees lost to the Orioles thanks to an 8 run seventh inning. A caller claims Gio is using Ozempic for weight loss and that really burns him up. Charles Barkley still thinks the Celtics are going to beat the Heat. In the final segment of the show, it seems very windy in Belmar where we're going to be broadcasting from tomorrow. A few Rutgers basketball players will be showing up. Gio said he hasn't had a piece of pizza since
Jerry is in for Boomer again today and we talked about tomorrow's live show down the Jersey Shore at D'Jais starting at 5am for the Kickoff to Summer. Gio is trying not to be so down on the Mets. Gio is not a fan of Marcus Stroman and thinks he's a jerk, so it pissed him off that he pitched well against the Mets. Francisco Alvarez hit a HR last night even though there are rumors he's being sent down. Buck Showalter seems to love Tomas Nido. The Mets are simply not a very good team. The biggest concern for the Yankees right now is the AL East has a bunch of really good teams. If the Mets don't compete for a World Series with Steve Cohen and throw money at every problem, then they are a joke. It will be like the Nets with KD and Kyrie doing nothing. Jerry's not even sure if they are a playoff team right now. C-Lo is in for Jerry and starts with the Yankees losing to the Orioles thanks to giving up 8 runs in the seventh. The Mets lost to the Cubs with Kodai Senga on the mound. Francisco Alvarez hit a HR and had 2 of the 4 Mets hits. Marcus Stroman was very demonstrative last night. The Panthers completed the sweep of the Hurricanes and are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals. In the final segment of the hour, an anonymous Mets player said of Stroman, ‘show some respect'. Did Mike Puma just overhear this in the locker room, or did a player tell him that? The Mets hitters had no answers for Stroman. We talked about money not being able to buy World Series championships. Memorial Day Weekend is a good time to take stock in the baseball season. Is it too early to take stock? We are 50 games in but this isn't the finished product because moves can still be made. If the Mets are around .500, would you make a move to get Shohei Ohtani? Gio would only do it if he had a guarantee Ohtani would be there multiple years. We also wondered where all the toll money goes and where all the sports betting money goes. C-Lo returns for an update and does a play by play montage to see if Gio & Jerry can tell the difference between the new, young, play by play guys in baseball. The Mets lost to Marcus Stroman and the Cubs. Jerry said Stroman was celebrating like Elvis. Buck Showalter talked about the things Stroman did to shut them down. The Yankees were up 5-1 on the Orioles and then things fell apart in the seventh inning. The Orioles scored 8 in the seventh and won the game. Nestor Cortes talked about what went wrong. Patrick Mahomes said he's more about legacy and rings than money right now. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is going to Vegas to check out Circa hotel. What would Jerry do first thing upon landing in Vegas? A brawl between Yankees fans after the game has emerged on social media. Jerry talks about his love for paying for YouTube premium which is commercial free. Oh, and HBO Max is now just Max. Tina Turner died yesterday at the age of 83. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with sound from Aaron Rodgers on the Adam Schein Show. Rodgers never saw the Sopranos. Gio did many impressions of Schein. Lamar Jackson talked about more throwing and less running in the new Ravens offense. The Panthers swept the Hurricanes to reach the Stanley Cup Finals. In the final segment of the hour, Kyrie Irving wants people to stop paying attention to sports guys on TV who mix sports and politics. Gio is surprised Kyrie pays so much attention to people talking about him. Police did a welfare check on Ja Morant after he posted ‘bye' on social media and messages to his mom and dad which made it seem like he might harm himself. Chicago-based Hip hop artist/promoter & entrepreneur Dre Marro also known in his hometown of Kenosha, WI as Andres Alejandro Gamarro Bran has been continuously breaking barriers and making his mark in the Midwest hip hop/rap scene. Since the early age of 10, Dre experimented with writing song lyrics and poetry. Over time Dre's passion had led him to perform at local festivals & talent shows throughout high school. Dre Marro, also commonly referred to as "Mufasa" by his fans, has nationally toured through regions such as New York, Atlanta, GA & Las Vegas, NV, most recently hosting & promoting his own "Midwest Takeover Promo Tour" in early 2020 performing throughout cities in Illinois & Wisconsin. Also in September of 2020, Dre Marro was named the winner of the Hot Sauce 16 Vol. 6 Challenge hosted by Trunxks Beatz. That same year the following month in October, Mufasa won 1st place in the Monthly Rap Contest's MRC9 competition. Mufasa has a catalog of boastful features from hip hop veterans such as Mickey Factz to other up & coming spitters such as New Jersy hip hop artist, battle rapper & 2016 VH1's "Signed" contestant, Ren Thomas. With three major project releases in his career including The Revision (2018), Lights EP (2019) & Troublesome (2020) it looks like Dre Marro is looking to be a major player in hip hop. "Midwest Mayhem" which recently dropped on January 19th, 2021 is an incredible display of lyrical ability, flow & energy. The production is from Chicago's own Colossal Mind providing a sweet melody yet hard-hitting drums. Dre Marro conveys a clear message and warning to the industry in his bars, letting the world know that he is not your average "rapper". Stay up to date with Mufasa and be apart of the journey.
In today’s episode, we explore the sailing from Sandy Hook NJ to Cape May NJ. Sandy Hook is just south of NY harbor and as the name suggests, it’s a hooked shaped spit of land that projects out into Raritan Harbor. Cape May is at the Southernmost tip of NJ about which makes this an approximately 120 NM trip. This is one section of the East Coast, from Maine to Key West, where there are not a lot of stopover points, especially for a sailboat. Many of the inlets along the New Jersy shore and not sailboat friendly. They have either strong currents or low bridges. If you want to do the trip non-stop, it is about a 24-hour passage and a great first overnight passage for any sailors desiring to get such experience. It is a relatively easy passage and if you are heading South, any wind direction is fine, except directly from the South. All you need is a good weather forecast for the next 24 hours. I find these short term forecasts are typically very accurate. In the summer, just be on the lookout for thunderstorms. Lightning on a boat with a 62-foot aluminum mast is not fun. This far north and close to shore, you do not need to worry about the Gulf Stream. Once you are out of the inlet, any currents are minor and are not an issue with the wind. There is a fair amount of commercial traffic. Tugs with barges, fishing boats, and some large ships. Most of the commercial traffic stays at least 10 miles offshore, so if you keep about 5 miles offshore, you will not encounter too much traffic. The entrance to Cape May is well marked and there is a large Coast Guard station there. This Coast Guard station is the primary training center for new recruits. There is an anchorage just off of the Coast Guard station, which is where we anchored. It’s a great place to stop and get some rest on your way south or north. We love to hear from our listeners, send us your questions, comments, and suggestions at sailingtheeast@gmail.com. Wishing you fair winds, and calm seas. Welcome to the 6th Round Retro Post-Fight Show, featuring YAMMA ‘Pitfighting 1’ from 2008. This is the show that digs into the archives and gives you a comprehensive review of classic MMA events, that span as far back as UFC 1. Join Eddie Mercado & Victor Rodriguez of Bloody Elbow as they relive this Pay-Per-View event this week, complete with results, analysis, and of course a few laughs. On April 11th, 2008, YAMMA Pit Fighting 1, “2 Masters Superfights”, an eleven-fight card, with only four finishes on a card full of decisions, went down from the infamous Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersy. This was a Pay-Per-View Cable event at the time, which advertised “The Return of ‘The Russian Bear’ Oleg Taktarov and a +8-Man Heavyweight Tournament to Crown the YAMMA Heavyweight Champion”. Episode 134 is all about killer nuns and teenage serial killers as Robin and Scott talk about the Arrow's new remaster of 1979 nunsploitation film Killer Nun and then 2017's hyper-modern Tragedy Girls. After that it's a trip through the news hole as stories about Spider-Man heroin, genital body horror, New Jersy and their roving bands of wild Turkeys, having a marijuanna baby and other weirdness make the rounds. ****************************************************** “Party Crowd 2” by Kolezan is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Bong Hit” by OnionEye is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Breath in and out Cigarette” by OnionEye is licensed under CC BY-NC 3.0 “Metal Loop” by thunderstorm10 is licensed under CC BY 3.0 “Scream 1” by TheSubber13 is licensed under CC BY-NC 3.0 "Death Metal Track" is licensed under CC BY 3.0 ****************************************************** Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and like us on facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter. Introducing a New Jersy centric Paranormal Podcast
In today's episode I sat down with a friend and brother Ilbert Sanchez. Born and raised in Honduras until the age of six, Ilbert J Sanchez moved to New York City not knowing how vastly his life would change. He quickly learned to navigate his way through new customs and setting his eyes on the American Dream. Ilbert overcame cultural differences and challenges as he excelled in art and design. After receiving his Bachelor's of Arts in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Ilbert realized that in order to achieve his dreams, it would take great risks. His personal mission of helping young men learn and grow is evident in his various speaking engagements and initiatives with schools all over New York City, New Jersy, and Philadelphia. During this episode, we discuss Ilbert's evolution as a man. From why he struggled to be vulnerable, to how his relationship with his mother impacted his availability to other women and the prep work he did while being single for two years. We even got into the culture shock of moving the United States to pursue the American dream, and how getting fired helped him find his purpose. The media goes straight into crybaby mode. New Jersy police attempt to take firearms away from a disabled Veteran without a warrant. The Vet. doesn't let them. Due process is still a thing in the U.S. including New Jersy. Al Frankin gets a little confused about the fact that he is no longer a U.S. Senator (or a cast member of SNL). Hillary Clinton is now claiming that SCOTUS nominee Kavanaugh would set the country back to the days of slavery (and no she wasn't kidding and I'm not exaggerating). Trinity County News has been bringing the best in local news coverage to Texas for some time but now they are making an effort to cover National and International news in a way that will increase their reach. I will be joined by Dr. Sharon Schuetz will join me to discuss it. Later, I'll be joined by Ron Edwards for our "Sunday Afternoon" segment where we'll discuss the biggest news stories of the past week. Don't forget about the Edwards Notebook and the Veteran's Tip of the Day! All of this and more as time allows. Listen live, join the chatroom, be a part of the show.
