Matt Crumpton is a lawyer who has worn many hats throughout his career. From attorney to entrepreneur, executive, musician, and philanthropist, Crumpton's diverse experiences have shaped his journey. Matt's legal career began at a corporate law firm, after being laid off in 2009, he founded his law firm, Crumpton Law LLC, where he focused on transactional work for small businesses and musicians. In 2012, Matt and his parents acquired the D.P. Dough restaurant brand, negotiating and handling all legal aspects. Over the next seven years, he served as Executive Vice President and later as President and CEO of D.P. Dough. I know it's a struggle. It can take a couple of interviews to try to find the right provider. Now, if you don't have a good relationship with your provider, shop around. We are fortunate to be in that kind of time that we're able to do that. But it's really important for you to have somebody that knows your health when you are somewhat healthy. Because if you do have something happen and you go to the emergency room or the urgent care. They don't have your whole record, they don't know all the stuff that's going on with you. That's not where you get treated, especially with chronic health issues. My second thing is if you are a veteran and you have not signed up for your veterans benefits, please do that. You can file online, you could call the number, just Google like VA benefits or whatever. Fairly straight forward process, but it does take time. So go ahead and get that started today.
We often prepare students for entry level roles in the HVACR industry without explaining to them the career opportunities they have the potential to explore. If they are only exposed to the first year roles, that we all get stuck with, like sweeping floors and cleaning trucks, they may very well quit and find new careers without understanding their true potential. Yes there are some pretty crummy tasks that need done. Yes it might be a lot of work to get to the top. If we fail to mentor these young minds properly, we are failing at our roles as educators and mentors.
