The reasons for these prior placements ending are unclear. 2010: May 24th: Natalia becomes a patient of Dr. McClaren. Natalia is adopted by Michael and Kristine Barnett. He notes the presence of both baby teeth and adult teeth which indicates an age range of 6-9 years. 2010-2013: Natalia is accused of various disturbing behaviors by the Barnetts, including attempted violence, threats, and sexual impropriety, despite her young age. The Barnetts begin to question Natalia's age. They seek medical opinions, but find that Natalia's dwarfism complicates age determination. Natalia is re-aged to be an adult by the Marion County Probate Court. The Barnetts move Natalia into an apartment alone in Lafayette, Indiana. Natalia begins attending adult learning center and staff call the police. The Barnetts are notified Natalia is a dependent due to her disability, which makes them financially responsible. Natalia begins talking to others about the Mans. She shares that she hates living there and it is hell. Natalia communicates via learning apps with Neil where they change the username each message. The Mans had deleted the original messages, so they would not be viewed. It is implied that Cynthia and Antoine are using the sexual messages she sent to Neil to blackmail her. A neighbor of the Manses reports that their religious beliefs are a show and that they don't practice what they preach. The neighbor also feels that they are a cult, with the children being brainwashed. Natalia is told that her medical issues are happening because of her sinful life. A former neighbor claims the Mans family were very good to their children. Spankings were normal. There was nothing to be worried about. Natalia begins to question her role in the Mans' home. She wonders if she is an enemy to them. 2022-2023: Natalia leaves the Mans' care and moves in with Nicole and Vince DePaul. Natalia is still in contact with Neil, and is finally freed by him. Neil is said to be pivotal to her freeing her mind a bit. The DePaul's discover a hidden side to Natalia, a "private" persona, that contradicts her "public" persona, where she praises the Manses. The DePaul's buy sound proofing for Natalia's room. Natalia starts talking about abuse from the Manses, and that the abuse is physical. The DePaul family become increasingly concerned about the manipulation of Natalia by the Mans family. The Mans family demand to have all of Natalia's finances and her medical care, despite not wanting to let her have the necessary surgery. They claim they are her parents and her care is none of the DePaul's business.

He is 26 years old and is facing multiple charges in New York, as well as federal charges, and charges in Pennsylvania. Here's a breakdown of his most recent charges: State Charges in New York: Mangione faces an 11-count indictment, including three counts of murder. These include first-degree murder, and two counts of second-degree murder, with one of the second-degree charges also related to terrorism. He also faces charges for criminal possession of a weapon. The first-degree murder charge, committed in furtherance of terrorism, could mean a sentence of life in prison without parole. The prosecution argues that Mangione committed the murder to intimidate or coerce a civilian population or influence government policy. Federal Charges: The federal complaint charges him with four crimes: stalking in interstate commerce, stalking through use of interstate facilities, murder through the use of a firearm, and a firearms offense. The federal murder charge carries the possibility of the death penalty. The federal charges stem from Mangione allegedly traveling from Georgia to New York with the intent to kill and using a cell phone and internet to plan the crime. Pennsylvania Charges: In Pennsylvania, Mangione is charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, forgery, and providing false identification to police. Additional Information: Motive: Authorities say that Mangione had a handwritten manifesto expressing animosity towards the U.S. healthcare system and wealthy executives. His notebook contained statements such as "the target is insurance" and described an intent to "whack the CEO" of an insurance company. He also wrote "these parasites simply had it coming". Evidence: Mangione was apprehended in Altuna, Pennsylvania, and was found in possession of a 3D printed gun, silencer, and a notebook. Multiple 9mm shell casings found at the crime scene had the words "deny," "delay," and "depose" written on them. Public Reaction: There has been a significant public reaction to the case, with some people viewing Mangione as a martyr. This has raised concerns about jury nullification. Some have criticized the authorities for what they see as prioritizing the killing of a wealthy executive over the deaths of the anonymous poor. Legal Strategy: Mangione's defense attorney has stated that her client is "overcharged" and that he is being treated unfairly because he is being "treated like a human pingpong ball" between the federal and state courts. She is also concerned about the public statements by government officials, such as the New York mayor, that could prejudice the jury pool. Procedural Issues: It is still not clear whether the state or federal case will proceed first. There are also double jeopardy concerns related to being tried for the same crime in two different jurisdictions. The charges against Mangione are complex, and the case is further complicated by the public interest and varying legal strategies.

The sources suggest that this theory originated from discoveries made by Hannah's mother, Brandi Yee, who found immigration documents in her daughter's home. Here is what the sources tell us about this theory: Possible Green Card Marriage: According to Los Angeles Magazine, the documents found by Hannah's mother suggested that Hannah may have participated in a marriage for the purpose of helping an Argentinian man, Alan Cacace, obtain a green card Allegations of Financial Exploitation: Sources cited in Los Angeles Magazine allege that Hannah was scammed out of her payment for participating in this marriage scheme by her ex-boyfriend Hannah's Text Message: This allegation is seemingly corroborated by a text message sent by Hannah to a friend on November 11, in which she states, "I got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds. From someone I thought I loved" Presence of Individuals on Flight: Los Angeles Magazine reported that Hannah flew from Maui to Los Angeles with Cacace, Cacace's girlfriend, and Hannah's ex-boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend continued to New York, while Hannah stayed in Los Angeles. Family's Knowledge of the Marriage: Further complicating the narrative, online commentators claim that Hannah's family was aware of the marriage as early as November 16. A screenshot of a text message allegedly sent by Hannah's sister, Sydney, to an unidentified recipient on November 16 includes a photo of Hannah and Cacace on a beach and the statement, "this is our confirmation and Lead now". Family's Denial of Knowledge: However, the family, through their attorney, has denied publicly announcing any information about the alleged marriage because they did not have sufficient evidence to verify its legitimacy [12, 13]. The family attorney has characterized the information as "one of many leads we are actively investigating". The scam marriage theory has ignited controversy and added another layer of complexity to an already perplexing case. There are conflicting accounts regarding the family's knowledge of the alleged marriage and their motivations for either concealing or denying information. The sources also present a muddled timeline, with differing accounts of when certain events occurred and who was present.

The Murder of Laken Riley and Conviction of Jose Antonio Ibarra This case involves the murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student, and the subsequent conviction of Jose Antonio Ibarra for her murder. The Murder On February 22, 2024, Laken Riley went for a run on the University of Georgia campus and never returned. Her body was found later that day by University police behind Lake Herrick in the Oconee Forest Park. Her death was caused by blunt force trauma and asphyxiation. While Riley was being attacked, her phone connected to 911 but no dialogue was recorded on the call. Riley's murder sparked a debate on immigration as the suspect, Jose Antonio Ibarra, was a Venezuelan national who had entered the US illegally in 2022. Federal immigration officials had encountered Ibarra in El Paso, Texas, and released him to pursue his immigration case. Additionally, ICE alleged that Ibarra had been arrested in New York City in 2023 for acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and for a motor vehicle license violation, but the NYPD disputed this claim, saying there was no record of such an arrest. The Investigation and Trial Following Riley's death, police reviewed surveillance footage and identified a potential suspect wearing a distinctive Adidas hat. This led them to an off-campus apartment complex where they questioned Ibarra. Police noticed scratches and red knuckles on Ibarra's arms, which raised their suspicions. During the investigation, police recovered a jacket from a dumpster near Ibarra's apartment that had Riley's hair on it. Ibarra's roommate identified him as the person who discarded the jacket in surveillance footage. Police also found three disposable gloves with the jacket, and an Adidas hat was later recovered. Forensic testing revealed that Ibarra's DNA was found under Riley's fingernails and that both his and Riley's DNA were found on the jacket, gloves, and hat recovered by police. Ibarra's fingerprint was found on Riley's phone. Ibarra was arrested and charged with one count of malice murder, three counts of felony murder, and one count each of kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, hindering an emergency telephone call, tampering with evidence, and peeping Tom. Ibarra waived his right to a jury trial and opted for a bench trial. The trial began on November 15, 2024. During the trial, data from Ibarra's phone and Riley's Garmin watch was presented as evidence that showed the two devices were in close proximity to each other near the location where Riley's body was found. Data from Riley's watch showed her heart rate spiking at the approximate time of the attack and dropping to zero shortly thereafter. The prosecution argued that Ibarra killed Riley after she fought off his attempt to rape her. The defense, however, argued that the evidence was circumstantial and suggested that Ibarra's brother, Diego, could have been responsible. Conviction and Sentencing The judge found Ibarra guilty of all ten charges on November 20, 2024. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Political Fallout The case became a focal point in the 2024 presidential election, with Republican candidates and lawmakers using it to criticize President Biden's border policies. The case also led to the passage of the Laken Riley Act in the House of Representatives. This act requires federal authorities to detain unauthorized immigrants who have been accused of theft. However, the bill did not pass in the Senate. The murder of Laken Riley had a devastating impact on her family and friends, and it brought to light concerns about safety and security on college campuses. The case also reignited debates about immigration policy in the United States, particularly the handling of unauthorized immigrants with criminal records.

The jury is now deliberating after hearing closing arguments from both the prosecution and the defense. The trial has been closely watched and emotionally charged, with the families of the victims and the community seeking a resolution to this tragic case. The prosecution's case focused heavily on Allen's alleged confessions while incarcerated. The jury heard recordings of phone calls where Allen seemingly admits to the killings. However, a central point of contention throughout the trial was Allen's mental state during these purported confessions. The defense aggressively argued that his statements were unreliable, a product of a mind broken by the harsh conditions of solitary confinement and the powerful antipsychotic drugs he was administered. The defense, barred from presenting their planned third-party culprit defense, concentrated on highlighting the absence of direct physical evidence linking Allen to the murders. They emphasized that no DNA evidence tied him to the crime scene and that key pieces of physical evidence, like the murder weapon and bloody clothing, remain missing. The defense strategically undermined the credibility of some prosecution witnesses, raising questions about inconsistencies and gaps in their testimonies. They also pointed to the potential for mishandling of evidence by investigators, further casting doubt on the prosecution's case. Now, the jury must grapple with these competing narratives and determine whether the prosecution has proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt. They face the difficult task of deciphering whether Allen's words were truly confessions of guilt or the desperate utterances of a man driven to the brink of insanity by his circumstances. The lack of physical evidence adds another layer of complexity to their decision. The outcome of the deliberations remains uncertain. The jury could find Allen guilty, not guilty, or be unable to reach a unanimous verdict, resulting in a hung jury and a possible retrial. The weight of this decision is immense, with the potential to bring closure to the families of the victims and impact the community deeply.

At that time, there was no probable cause for arrest. • Colt Gray, a 14-year-old, has been charged with four counts of felony murder for the shooting at Apalachee High School. • Colt's father, Colin Gray, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, second-degree murder, and cruelty to children for allegedly providing Colt with a firearm. • Prior to the shooting, authorities received anonymous tips about threats to shoot up a school, leading them to investigate Colt and his father. • The investigation revealed that Colin Gray had been teaching Colt about firearms and safety, claiming he was trying to get his son away from video games. • Colin Gray said he kept his firearms unloaded, but investigators found conflicting evidence regarding Colt's access to the weapons. • The shooting has devastated the community of Winder, Georgia, with residents grappling with the tragedy and remembering the victims. • Colt's aunt claims he struggled with mental health issues and sought help before the shooting, raising concerns about the lack of support he received. Madeline was reported missing by her mother on February 26th after she failed to attend school. Her body was found in a wooded area four days later. The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be strangulation. Sterns, Madeline's mother's boyfriend, was the last person to see Madeline before she disappeared. He was supposed to drop her off at school but never did, despite video evidence showing him returning to the apartment complex with Madeline in the car. Detectives believed Madeline was already dead at this time. During an interview, Sterns claimed to have accidentally performed a factory reset on his phone on the day Madeline went missing. He also drove to his parents' house in North Port, which detectives suspected was an attempt to hide evidence. A review of his phone revealed disturbing images and evidence of attempted deletion. Detectives also discovered that Sterns had allegedly been sa* Madeline since she was 11 years old. Madeline's mother, Jennifer Soto, admitted to allowing Sterns and Madeline to sleep in the same bed the night before her death. She stated that she was uncomfortable with this arrangement but did so for her own convenience. She also described Sterns as a liar and manipulator. Upon learning the investigation was shifting from a missing person case to a homicide, Jennifer admitted to believing Sterns was guilty. Sterns was charged with first-degree murder, sa*, and possession of child sa* material. He faces life in prison or the death penalty if found guilty of the most serious charges. His next court date is scheduled for October 14th. By the hard work of the absolute best in the business, Grizzly True Crime, a FOIA request was granted releasing the audio.
