    In this episode you’ll meet Stephanie Prosa, a mom of three girls, an "accidental influencer” and a #bodypositivity advocate. After content creation fell into her lap, she looked around and realized that although pretty content was fun to create, she craved something more real to offer to her community. She turned to her own story surrounding struggling with body image her entire life, and had an "aha- moment" when her then 13 year old daughter came home in tears stating that she hated her body. It was through this life-changing event that Stephanie realized that her own journey with her body was impacting her daughter. She then promised to her daughter, and herself, that she would work to change that.For the next 2 years, Stephanie worked to intentionally speak more positively about herself- both in front of her daughters, and when she found herself alone in the mirror and documented this journey with her audience – quickly realizing that so many people were dealing with the same problem. Today, Stephanie has fallen in love with inspiring and empowering other women. She has over 10 years of experience telling stories in digital media in the food space.You may remember her from TV shows like #TopChefMasters, #KnifeFight, #HellsKitchen, or The Today Show. Or you may have seen her byline covering culinary travel and global culture in Travel + Leisure, Departures, Los Angeles Times, or Tastemade. Her passion is for best stories in the food around the globe. She’s held various jobs in the restaurant industry since she was 15 years old, but really got into things in college when she was at UC Santa Cruz, where she worked at Bonny Doon Vineyard and tended bar at a wine-focussed restaurant. After college I spent about a year working on farms around the globe, and then came home to start writing and shooting food stories. She also went to culinary school while working full time as a food editor at an alt weekly at the LA Times in order to improve her food writing.
