The trio dives headfirst into the 2026 Grammys Runway Rundown— delivering their signature takes on the good, the bad, the ugly, and the unforgettable “fire the stylist!” moments. The show kicks off with their classic intro before reminding listeners they can book an Armenian Coffee Reading at PolAtteu.com — virtually or live in West Hollywood — and grab a SnowWhite90210 SnowBubu (the ultimate glam accessory for your Birkin, backpack or shelf). Then it's straight to fashion fireworks. Chappell Roan stuns in a bordeaux cape moment that transforms from understated elegance to bold art reveal — complete with nipple rings. Pol praises the risk; Patrik debates the appropriateness. Art vs. shock value sets the tone for the episode. Chaka Khan in Christian Siriano sparks heated discussion: corsetry, coke feathers, mesh boots and gold nails. Glam icon? Yes. Modern? Debatable. The proportions and dated structure divide the room. Benson Boone (Armani) brings black-on-black layering lessons, prompting a masterclass on dye lots and fabric depth. Meanwhile, Angelique Kidjo in Louis Vuitton velvet is declared powerful, polished, and perfectly proportioned — head wrap, double-breasted suit and all. Adrienne Bailon Houghton's crystal architectural gown reads vintage flapper fantasy, while Addison Rae's Alaïa white tiered plunge feels more Met Gala than Grammys. Sticky tape fashion tips ensue. Jennifer Hudson earns rave reviews for her ruched leather Killian Koerner gown with dramatic shoulder and cascading slit — Grammy edge done right. Jewelry layering advice follows. Justin & Hailey Bieber deliver coordinated black Balenciaga/Alaïa cool. Sexy, confident, curated sloppy. Justin's stripped-down performance ignites debate: raw genius or missed theatrical moment? Karol G's pistachio lace Paolo Sebastian gown divides over tassels vs. sultry silhouette. Yungblud in Chrome Hearts revives rock energy with leather, chains and a cross pendant. Sombr's iridescent Valentino suit with “Happy Rose” lace is called one of the night's best — shimmering, daring and Grammy-perfect. Pol even volunteers to recreate it. Sabrina Carpenter (Valentino couture) looks beautiful but “Emmys, not Grammys." Rosé in Giambattista Valli feels elegant yet lacking edge. Paris Hilton channels Material Girl in bugle-beaded Nicholas Jebran with opera gloves and diamonds. Accessory masterclass unlocked. Miley Cyrus (Celine) gets labeled “rock mom office-core,” while Lady Gaga's feathered Matières Fécales creation is praised as theatrical Grammy fantasy — thousands of feathers, Maleficent collar, full commitment. Kesha's white feather Atelier Versace is deemed poorly constructed and overwhelming, while Doechii in Cavalli purple confection feels Moulin Rouge meets prom curtain. Darren Criss (Tanner Fletcher brocade) impresses but needs a brooch moment. Billie Eilish (Hodakova) delivers inside-out conceptual tailoring — authentic and Grammys appropriate and Audrey Nuna (Thom Browne couture) is admired artistically but “the outfit wore her.” Finally, Teyana Taylor in Tom Ford closes the fashion segment flawlessly — sculpted, confident, fully accessorized diva energy. You've heard us wax poetic about Sarah's namesake brand, but in this episode you'll get to learn how influential she truly is in the industry and how the products we use today are largely inspired by her creations. She explains the hardships that come with creating a brand focused on women 40+ and why she felt it was important to launch anyway, the five products she developed that are her holy grails (from Prescriptives to Tom Ford), how she got into the beauty industry with no experience, working with Victoria Beckham, “aging gracefully”, and what luxury means now in beauty. In this episode of Style DNA I go on a sartorial journey with the Founder and CEO of Gold Collagen, the visionary Tony Sanguinetti. Growing up in Italy, Tony's love of great-tasting food (a cultural expectation!) was bolstered by the idea that fresh ingredients were inherent to a healthy lifestyle. He was taught that we are what we eat and drink, and this philosophy of living better, for longer, remains at the heart of the Gold Collagen brand today. As a young man, Tony carved out an interest in nutrition and followed an exacting diet and fitness routine. In his 20s, he embarked upon a successful career as a model for leading designers in Milan, Paris and New York where he realised that beauty captivates consumers - not just in the fashion industry, but in every aspect of life. He walked for the shows of Armani, Dolce Gabbana, Ferre and many others …the exposure to these beautiful clothes refined his style. It was a life-defining trip to Japan that radically shaped the perspective of his future business and inspired the ethos at the heart of GOLD COLLAGEN®. Unlike European culture, which relied heavily upon external creams to combat ageing, he noticed that Japanese women treated aesthetic beauty as external evidence for inner health. In other words, they believe that a healthy body from within is the first step towards ageless beauty. The myriad benefits of their diet, health and well-being routines were immediately apparent to Tony. Treating food as a medicine and using nutrition and supplements to support inner health and restore balance had given the Japanese the highest life expectancy in the world. He realised that in doing so, they'd also identified the root cause of the visible signs of ageing.Inspired by his trip, Tony had a vision to innovate, create and develop a formulation that could support the immune system from the inside out. In our conversation Tony explains his mission to reduce the effects of ageing. He tells me that a person's age is defined by 3 factors: skin (plump and hydrated versus dry and wrinkly), hair (thick, shiny and voluminous versus thin, dull and brittle) and body mobility (supple joints versus aching, stiff joints, strong muscles versus weak, tired muscles) and discovered that the unifying thread that tied those 3 factors together was collagen. And that the amount of collagen in our body decreases as we age. We discuss aesthetic medicine too…fascinating. And how clothes are our armour, how we message through them and how Tom Ford is his style icon. I hope you enjoy this episode. Thank you Tony for being such a great guest.
In this Fragrance Friday episode of Skin Anarchy, Dr. Ekta Yadav sits down with Hamed Arefian, co-founder of House of Dastan, the niche fragrance brand blending Persian heritage, Parisian craftsmanship, and New York sophistication. Rooted in the Persian word “Dastan,” meaning “stories,” the brand reimagines perfume as a medium for cultural storytelling—where every scent is a narrative, and every bottle, a work of art.Hamed shares how childhood memories of rosewater, cardamom, and tea inspired the sensory poetry behind Dastan's creations. Drawing from his family's deep connection to Persian culture and poetry, each fragrance captures emotion, memory, and identity—bridging generations through scent.Collaborating with renowned perfumer Richard Herpin (creator of Tom Ford's Oud Wood), House of Dastan brings to life a refined harmony of East and West. Their standout fragrance, You?, epitomizes this philosophy—crafted to adapt to each wearer's chemistry, creating a completely unique signature scent. “It's not just worn,” Hamed says. “It becomes you.”As luxury evolves, House of Dastan champions emotional craftsmanship over excess—where true artistry lies in care, integrity, and depth. With three new limited-edition fragrances on the horizon and a SoHo boutique opening this November, the brand continues to redefine what modern luxury means in 2025: intimate, personal, and timeless.Tune in to hear how House of Dastan is transforming fragrance into a living art form—one rooted in heritage, yet designed for the modern soul.CHAPTERS:0:02 – Introduction & Welcome1:00 – The Journey to Founding House of Dastan2:04 – Blending Persian, Parisian, and New York Influences3:42 – The Heritage of Persian Fragrance & Storytelling5:09 – Collaborating with Perfumer Richard Herpin7:09 – The Story Behind “You?”9:09 – The Rise of Middle Eastern Fragrance Culture12:07 – Crafting the First Collection & Fragrance Design Process15:03 – From Retail to Brand Building19:39 – Redefining Luxury & What's Next for House of DastanPlease fill out this survey to give us feedback on the show!Don't forget to subscribe to Skin Anarchy on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your preferred platform.Reach out to us through email with any questions.Sign up for our newsletter!Shop all our episodes and products mentioned through our ShopMy Shelf! On today's show, we're chatting with Tara, of Call Me the Breeze – where she's best known for curating and restoring vintage wedding dresses. Tara lives in rural South Australia on an off-the-grid farm with no neighbors for miles. Last year, Tara made a huge pivot – closing her decade-old multi-brand brick-and-mortar shop to lean into her love for vintage and antique fashion. It all started when she acquired a massive collection, which included suitcases of antique bridal and lingerie, the works. Now Tara operates an online vintage studio business out of a haunted (!!) heritage mansion from the 1870s, shooting her finds in the wedding chapel. In this episode, Tara shares about the viral TikTok video that got 13 million views and put her vintage bridal business on the map, how she sources vintage in rural areas (where collections sit untapped for decades!), and how she manifested her current career back in high school with a business project. It's a really fun one – let's dive right in! DISCUSSED IN THE EPISODE: [7:19] Tara sourced some of her earliest pieces for styling jobs from eBay. After stints in New York, London, and Paris, the third annual edition of Vogue World is taking place this weekend in Hollywood, paying homage to the role of fashion in film (and vice versa). As such, the starring roles this year belong not to actors and models—though, yes, all your favorites will be in attendance—but to costume designers and their work. Joining Nicole Phelps and Virginia Smith, Global Head of Fashion Network, on this week's edition of “The Run-Through” is Arianne Phillips, a stylist and Academy Award– and BAFTA-nominated costume designer best known for her work with Madonna; Tom Ford's A Single Man; Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood; and most recently A Complete Unknown, among many, many others. In this episode, Phillips details how she began in the industry assisting veteran stylists and fashion editors, graduated to work with pop sensations like Lenny Kravitz and Madonna, and soon found her way to costume design, the only job “in the whole process of filmmaking that is like, ‘nice to meet you, take your clothes off.'”Plus, Vogue's Fashion Market Director, Naomi Elizée, joins straight from Vogue World Hollywood to share a special announcement about the show! Nicholas Aburn's path to AREA was never a straight line. He grew up watching CNN Style with his mother, worked full time at Prada while studying at Central Saint Martins, and famously failed under Louise Wilson before showing his collection anyway and becoming the first in his class to get a job when he was hired by Tom Ford. He now calls that failure a “delayed education,” one that taught him how to manage his own creative and emotional state — a lesson more valuable than any critique. From Ford, he learned the beauty of discipline and real clothes, and from Demna, during his time at Balenciaga couture, the importance of reduction and authenticity. In this episode he speaks about balancing fantasy with function, leadership through empathy, and optimism as a deliberate practice rather than an accident of temperament. To Aburn, what's contemporary now is simple and human, defined by less ego, more honesty, and the courage to describe what you actually see. Episode Highlights: On Early Fascination with Fashion — Watching CNN Style with his mother shaped his early understanding of fashion as something serious, creative, and meaningful. On Working at Prada During School — Balancing full-time retail work at Prada with his studies at Central Saint Martins taught him discipline and grounded his creativity in reality. On Failure as a Delayed Education — His experience with Louise Wilson became what he now calls a “delayed education,” showing him that self-management is the foundation of all creative longevity. On Observation and Duality — Moving between Prada's commercial world and St. Martins' creative chaos made him both participant and observer, sharpening his sense of perspective. On Learning from Mentors — From Tom Ford he learned the beauty of discipline and real clothes, and from Demna the importance of reduction and authenticity. On Leadership and Empathy — As creative director at AREA, he sees leadership as both creative and emotional, centered on clarity, inspiration, and shared enthusiasm. On Wearability and Fantasy — He views AREA's identity as a balance between product and performance, believing that real clothes and theatricality can coexist. On Introversion as Creative Strength — A self-professed introvert, he finds energy and perspective in solitude, designing through observation rather than noise. On Optimism as Practice — He treats optimism not as naivety but as a skill that fuels creativity, curiosity, and resilience. On What's Contemporary Now — For Aburn, it's simple and human — less ego, more honesty, and the courage to describe what you actually see. Learn more about your ad choices. What does it take to successfully reinvent a heritage beauty brand? Industry veteran Dawn Hilarczyk is on a mission to completely transform Borghese, the 68-year-old heritage brand famous for its Italian skin care and Fango mud masks — and it's working. In today's episode, Hilarczyk dives into the nitty-gritty of her brand turnaround efforts. She breaks down her strategy in great detail, from cleaning up the brand's Amazon presence and expanding into Ulta Beauty, to reestablishing a social presence and reducing the brand's SKU count from 87 to 27. But first, host Lexy Lebsack is joined by Glossy senior reporter Emily Jensen to walk through the biggest news stories of the week. First up is specialty beauty retailer Violet Grey's acquisition of clean beauty retailer The Detox Market. The deal was reportedly quietly closed earlier this year. Founder Cassanda Grey purchased Violet Grey in September of 2024 from Farfetch alongside private-equity investor Sherif Guirgis, who later transitioned into its CEO. Lebsack and Jensen also discuss the latest GLP-1 news, including a possible new pill form of the drug and the rumored connection between the rise of GLP-1s and gourmand fragrances. Finally, the duo discuss changes at Estée Lauder Companies-owned Tom Ford, including new spokesperson Tilda Swinton and new creative director Haider Ackermann, and what it all means for luxury fragrance.
