The great Adam Faucett (a fantastic singer-songwriter of which The A.V. Club said "His voice knocks your brain into the back of your skull") & I discuss returning to the stage after a long absence, personal space, history, immortality, the value of humility, & ever-so-much more. The audio's rough, but I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it. Adam's the real deal. www.adamfaucett.com www.instagram.com/blindfaucett

The second episode. Discussed: The composer of our theme music (Disasterpeace), creative confidence, Macbeth, work ethic, seasonal affective disorder (S.A.D.), the importance of exercise, and becoming a de-motivational speaker. I also make fun of your "questions," and beam about my brother's dog. Mentioned: Matt Evans (Sleepy Holler/Reddening West; music), Megan Slankard (music), Adam Faucett (music). Music: "Adventure" by Disasterpeace.
Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Adam Faucett grew up in the suburbs of Little Rock, where he spent a lot of time listening to Otis Redding, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Neil Young, and Radiohead. He also had a love for horror movies. His influences have led him to blend light and dark themes in songs about love, loss, and growing up in Arkansas. He also makes historical references to things as varied as the southern mystic Edgar Cayce and the Mackay Bennett, the ship that picked up the human wreckage left in the wake of the Titanic sinking. Adam has a new album out, It Took the Shape of a Bird. As on previous records, he has written songs that are powerful and unique. Adam sits down with Colin in Richmond to talk about life on the road, growing up in Arkansas, and what it's like to be a working musician.

Nathan Xander came in to the studio to record a new show. He now lives in New York City, but about 4 years ago he and some other unique singer/songwriters (Adam Faucett and William Blackhart to name a few) were prowling the dive bar venues performing their songs, each with their own spin on reality and broken dreams. All of them brilliant and all no longer based in Chicago. Certainly our loss, but I hope to put together a reunion concert with all of them in 2014.
Adam Faucett is one of the most powerful and emotional singer/songwriters I have ever seen. He currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas and he comes to Chicago all too infrequently. You have two chances to see him this time. He is at The Redline Tap tonight April 10, and he is at the Double Door on Tuesday April 12th at 8pm and the tickets are $8.00 and worth every penny. This is a performer that you should not miss.
This week, we hang out in the green room of the Hi-Tone with Spero of indie hip-hop saviors Northern State! Also joining us are Adam Faucett, and all the members of Spero's new band. mostlycomedy.com
Adam Faucett and the Ordinary Bastards joined us with his new band and six new songs. Adamand#39;s first show with us was Episode 26. Adam continually blows me away with his magnificantly loud pipes and his excellent song writing skills.Check his website for the release date of his newest album titled "Show Me Magic, Show Me out" on Blue Tint Records.
This guy will blow your socks off. Perhaps the strongest voice I have ever recorded. Adam comes to us from Arkansas and is now a true Chicagoan. Great lyrics and excellent guitar style are combined with his incredible voice create a truly great show. Sit back and get ready!!!!
