If there's anyone who knows how to play a wealthy man with a secret, it's Jon Hamm. From Mad Men's Don Draper to Andrew Cooper turning to a life of crime to maintain his lavish lifestyle in his new series Your Friends and Neighbors (Apple TV+), Hamm knows. “I'm really good casting for this, if I do say so myself,” Hamm laughs, “absurd wealth is what we're looking at here,” and the secrets its pursuit can reveal. “Late-stage capitalism and rampant materialism, and what does it really mean? Why are we measuring ourselves against other people using the metric of just who has a bigger pile of stuff?” While he knows “not everybody can resonate with having to make their $300,000 mortgage” like his character, “people can certainly identify with losing their job through no fault of their own.” Between Mad Men and some of his Emmy-nominated work on The Morning Show, Fargo and Landman, Hamm is confident that he's “earned my place,” but is mostly “fortunate” that he gets to work with those he admires. “To work with those people is a tremendous gift.” See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Andrew Cooper is a globally recognized executive leader and advocate for compassionate business practices. He made history as the first Millennial and Black executive to serve as General Counsel of UPS Airlines, the world's largest logistics airline operating in 220 countries with over 20,000 employees. Cooper's team played a pivotal role in the success of Operation Warp Speed, the U.S. pandemic vaccine relief effort. Committed to facilitating leadership transformation, he assists organizations in achieving and sustaining high performance. The Ethical Imperative marks Andrew's debut book. Andrew Cooper began writing after migrating with his parents from a single-wide trailer in the deep south to a small island off the coast of Japan. Born in Walterboro, SC, Cooper's journey to Okinawa would spark a life-long interest in humanity, technology, and the intersection of the two. After receiving his doctorate from Emory University, Cooper joined the legal leadership teams of multiple Fortune 500 companies, serving on an executive staff responsible for overseeing billions in assets and over twenty thousand employees. The red half of Westminster will shortly decamp to Liverpool for the first Labour conference since the party's general election landslide. Host Sascha O'Sullivan looks at a group which played a key role in that victory — the left-wing think-tank Labour Together. Sascha pieces together the fascinating origin story of Labour Together, speaking to ITV Deputy Political Editor Anushka Asthana, author of a new book, which details the group's influence, and Keir Starmer biographer Tom Baldwin. Andrew Cooper, political pollster and member of Labour Together advisory board, tells Sascha how Josh Simons, former director of the think tank, built on the work of Morgan McSweeney by using deep voter analysis to help Labour HQ. Sascha speaks to the group's new chief executive, Jonathan Ashworth, about Labour Together's role in shaping the thinking of the new government. He addresses some of the cronyism accusations surrounding the think tank and is quizzed by Sascha on its purpose now Labour is in power. Henry Newman, former political adviser and author of the Whitehall project, explains the concerns about how Labour Together acted as a middleman for political donations between wealthy individuals and politicians. Labour "mega-donor" Dale Vince tells Sascha why he gave money to the think tank. And think tank stalwarts Harry Quilter-Pinner of the Institute of Public Policy Research, Ryan Wain of the Tony Blair Institute and Charlotte Pickles explain how Labour Together fits into the world of the wonks and how different it is from most policy outfits. Andrew C.M. Cooper is the author of the new book, The Ethical Imperative: Leading with Conscience to Shape the Future of Business. He is also an Associate General Counsel and Head of Patent Acquisitions at Meta. While he didn't write The Ethical Imperative as a Meta person, it is still intriguing that one of Zuckerberg's lawyers should be writing a book about corporate ethics, especially since he told me that corporations “should be in the business of social engineering”. But I'm not convinced. In my opinion, the business of social engineering should come from government. The ethical imperative of corporations is serve their investors & customers; while the ethical imperative of government is to serve their citizens. Host Sascha O'Sullivan delves into the secrets of the polling industry and asks — if the polls were wrong before, could they be wrong again?David Cameron's former pollster Andrew Cooper tells Sascha how the Conservatives upstaged the polling industry in 2015 and pulled an unexpected election victory out of the bag.Labour polling stalwart Stan Greenberg, who has run the numbers for Tony Blair, Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and Ed Miliband, explains what the other side of the 2015 campaign was like.Tom Lubbock of JL Partners and Josh Williams of Labour Together explain why voter archetypes — from "Mondeo Man" to "Stevenage Woman" — are so beloved by the media ... and how they're actually useful for politicians seeking to win elections. Sascha also tags along to a series of focus groups — including with More in Common's Luke Tryl — to see how they really work. And the New Statesman's associate political editor, Rachel Cunliffe, and pollster Scarlett Maguire explain how communicating polling can be twisted or over-egged — and why we really should be talking about more than just the top line. Mesa and Gilbert, Arizona's 12 West may be one of the coolest “home breweries” in the United States. The location, in the 6000 square foot luxury garage behind one of the founders' homes, with roll up doors that open to a patio with a swimming pool, and skate ramps with a moto track in the distance, is unusual to say the least. But the beer that head brewer/co-owner Justin “Gully” Gullickson and assistant brewer Andrew Cooper are making to feed the two brewery taproom locations is as compelling as it is consistent. In this episode, they discuss their best-in-beer-winning West Coast pils, Radial Spines, as well as their high-scoring IPAs, and along the way they touch on: blending West Coast IPA and pils grists for West Coast pils setting up successful lager fermentations with a single infusion mash whirlpooling with cryo hops dry hopping cold for extended periods with cryo hops staggering hop blend percentages between the hot and cold side, based on individual hop characteristics grounding new school hop flavors with old school classics brewing IPA with gummy sharks And more.
