Purity is not just about avoiding sin—it's about preserving what is sacred. In a culture that glorifies impurity and mocks holiness, God is calling families to rise and protect what He values. We are not just called to raise good kids. We are called to raise godly ones—and that means setting a standard of purity that begins in the heart and flows into every part of the home. Our springboard for today's discussion is:"I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless." — Psalm 101:3Protecting purity starts with what we allow into our homes. Every device, every screen, every conversation is a gateway. And as parents, we are the gatekeepers. Not in fear—but in faith. We are called to guard what is holy because we know what's at stake.Purity is more than a talk about sex. It's about:* What we watch.* What we listen to.* How we speak.* What we joke about.* What we celebrate—or tolerate—in our home.We cannot expect our children to walk in purity if we do not first model it. That means we hold ourselves accountable. We repent quickly. We filter our own lives, not just theirs. When the home is filled with the Word of God, worship, honor, and truth—purity becomes the atmosphere. It becomes the expectation—not out of shame, but out of a deep desire to please God and keep our hearts clean. And when the line is crossed—and it will be at times—grace must flow. Correction and love must walk hand in hand. Purity is not about perfection. It's about direction. It's about returning to the narrow road every time we drift.Let your home be marked by holiness. Let the standard be high—not because of legalism, but because you know the One who lives there.Question of the Day:What's one area in your home where purity needs to be restored or reinforced?Mini Call to Action:Choose one practical step today to protect purity—set a new media boundary, pray over your family's entertainment choices, or start a conversation that leads to change.Let's Pray:Father, help us to protect what is holy. Give us courage to lead our homes with conviction and tenderness. Let our hearts, our words, and our habits reflect Your purity. Make our home a place where Your presence dwells. What if you could look into a crystal ball and see exactly what your family's long-term care needs will be in the future? In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Lily Vittayarukskul, the brilliant CEO and co-founder of Waterlily, an AI-powered platform that uses over 500 million data points to help families plan for the financial and emotional realities of aging. Lily is a World Economic Forum Top Innovator, a patented inventor, and someone who turned a heartbreaking personal experience into a mission-driven company that is disrupting the way we think about long-term care. As someone with two parents in their 80s, this topic hits close to home for me—and I know it will for many of you too. We talked about everything from how she built Waterlily and earned the trust of major investors to the importance of planning so families aren't torn apart in times of crisis. These are the highlights of our conversation: - Waterlily Predicts Long-Term Care Needs with AI: Waterlily uses over 500 million data points to help families predict their future long-term care needs based on lookalike families. It's like looking into a data-driven future mirror. -A Personal Family Crisis Sparked the Mission: Lily was only 16 when a long-term care event involving her aunt devastated her family emotionally and financially. That experience inspired her to shift from a career in aerospace to founding a company focused on preventing that same pain for others. - Bold Pivot from B2C: Originally aimed at consumers, Waterlily pivoted to serve the financial services industry, empowering advisors to have better long-term care conversations with clients. This B2B strategy became the core of their scalable, subscription-based model. - Built for Impact, Not Just Speed: Instead of rushing a product to market, Lily spent two years building a strong technical and data foundation before launching. That decision paid off with major partnerships, including Prudential and several Fortune 100 companies. - Culture of Trust and Smart Scaling: Despite impressive growth, Lily keeps her team intentionally lean, leveraging large language models and automation to scale efficiently. She emphasizes trust and alignment with all at her company as the foundation for sustainable success. About the guest: Lily Vittayarukskul, Waterlily's CEO and Co-Founder, started college at 14, and by 16, she was venturing into a career in aerospace engineering as an intern at NASA. However, that same year, her life took a dramatic turn when her Aunt, who raised her and was a cornerstone in her first-generation immigrant family, was diagnosed with terminal stage colon cancer. The ensuing financial and emotional devastation, exacerbated by their family's lack of preparedness, tore permanent rifts in her family, and compelled her to pivot her career from aerospace to a lifelong dedication to building solutions in healthcare. Fueled by personal tragedy and a resolve to forge change, Lily graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in Genetics and Data Science and led product and engineering at multiple startups before founding Waterlily. Have you filed your CTA report yet? (Do you even know what that means?) This is a fairly "new" (and unknown) legal requirement and I'm discovering that a lot of farm business owners have no idea about it. As a business, you may have to file a report, and you have until December 31, 2024, to do so (or face some big fines). In this episode, I break down the Corporate Transparency Act and its implications for business owners, especially small farms. With insights from my lawyer Richard Chamberlain, we dive into the federal reporting requirements designed to identify your beneficial owners and prevent money laundering and fraud. Learn what your business needs to do to comply and avoid hefty penalties. What critical information must you report to the government by the fast-approaching deadline? Who exactly qualifies as a "beneficial owner," and why does it matter? The surprising exemptions to the Corporate Transparency Act—could your business be off the hook? How you could face daily fines or even jail time for missing a simple filing. Can you file on your own, or is a lawyer necessary to navigate this new law? Tune in to find out how this law impacts your business and the steps you need to take before December 31, 2024! Your homework is to TAKE CARE OF THIS by the end of the year! It only takes 10 minutes. Do it this week! Meet my Lawyer: Richard Chamberlain. Richard Chamberlain is the founder and managing attorney of Legacy Law Group in Perrysburg, Ohio. Hi Wise Mother, In today's episode, I'm bringing a greater awareness of how you can empower yourself with the knowledge and tools needed to step out of the reactive 'sickcare' cycle and into proactive healthcare. I believe most people want to be healthy and would rather not think about or have to navigate insurance and medications if only they knew how. This is a transformative discussion that puts the power back in your hands. In order to have some measure of control it will involve you making informed, proactive choices about your lifestyle, diet, and even the household products you use. The pharmaceutical industry heavily influences healthcare practices by focusing on profit margins. Billions are spent on marketing directly to doctors and patients, promoting drugs over preventative or holistic health solutions, which could include dietary changes or natural therapies. Knowledge is indeed power. I recommend that families educate themselves about the medications they use, including potential side effects, and seek natural alternatives. It's also crucial to engage in and support legislative reforms that aim for greater transparency in the food, personal care, and healthcare industries. If all this sounds overwhelming, I'm here to help. Join me for a FREE Wellness Discovery Call, where we can discuss strategies for staying out, or stepping out of the 'sickcare' cycle and into true health care. Check out the link to sign up for a call and understand what it means to be proactive about your health. We find again in this lesson that God comes against the law codes of the ancient Near East. One such code is the Code of Hammurabi who was the sixth Amorite king of the Old Babylonian Empire, reigning from c. 1792 to c. 1750 BC. His code is 282 laws written 300 years before the Exodus. In this code any thief is to be executed. This is seemingly regardless of the theft or the seriousness of the crime. Just imagine that shoplifters who come in gangs to steal and rob from retail stores today would all be caught and killed in ancient Babylon. Below you can see the Stele of Hammurabi – on this stone pillar the 282 laws of Hammurabi are engraved. This picture is royalty free and is accessible at Wikimedia. I mentioned I'd include an article that addresses the issue of self defense for Christians. It is a solid article and provides awesome scriptural support for its position that indeed the Lord allows for self defense. The link is below … https://www.gotquestions.org/self-defense.html But, another article you may find as interesting addresses the question asking whether Jesus was a pacifist. I have found that those who hold to such a belief sometimes use the commandment “thou shalt not murder” and interpret it to mean “thou shalt not kill.” If the commandment is the later it seems easy to say then that God is against any killing – killing in war, killing in self defense, the death penalty, and on and on. So, check out this article that discusses the question if Jesus was a pacifist. I addressed this is more detail in the podcast relating to the commandment. Here's the link below ... https://lightofmenorah.podbean.com/e/exodus-47-lesson-13-exod-2013-no-murder/ One thing to keep in mind is Jesus is GOD and GOD said He never changes as we read in Mal. 3:6. The link to the article is below … https://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-pacifist.html Rev. Ferret - who is this guy? What's his background? Why should I listen to him? It is important to have a lawyer assist with a separation agreement to safeguard your legal rights, including the right to honest financial disclosure from the other party. Most couples choose a no-fault divorce, which allows them to end their marriage without proving any wrongdoing. However, factors such as career choices, parenting differences, division of household labor, relationships with family and friends, finances, and health choices can still lead to conflict. According to a Forbes Advisor survey, the most significant conflicts for divorced couples were career choices (46%) and parenting differences (43%). Jonathan D. Steele has had a successful legal career, starting at Nadler, Pritikin & Mirabelli LLC, and later moving to Beermann LLP. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, an honor given to less than 2.5% of attorneys under 40 in the state. He has also been designated as an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers magazine, an accolade given to fewer than 2% of Illinois attorneys annually. This recognition underscores his expertise in family law and his exceptional professional achievement. In addition to his courtroom successes, Jonathan possesses a strong understanding of the Illinois Supreme Court rules and the Rules of Civil Procedure, as well as technical proficiency in legal practice that equips him to handle complex legal challenges. His areas of expertise include advanced trial advocacy, a deep understanding of the rules of evidence, and specialized knowledge in the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act, Domestic Violence Act, and the Stalking No Contact Order Act. Jonathan places a high priority on the privacy and security of his clients, integrating cutting-edge digital protection strategies to safeguard sensitive information—a critical asset in today's interconnected world. Outside the courtroom, Jonathan is committed to community service, offering pro bono legal aid through JUF Community Legal Services and contributing to medical research initiatives as a board member of the Medical Research Junior Board Foundation at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Transitioning from law to cybersecurity, Jonathan has spent years researching all aspects of cybersecurity and privacy. He has become well-versed in the Sophos ecosystem, setting up MDM solutions across a fleet of iOS devices, configuring next-gen enterprise-grade Sophos XG firewalls for home use, and setting up Synology NAS solutions for self-hosting calendar solutions, surveillance systems, photo storage, and video hosting. He is proficient in ZTNA and VPN setup and configuration, end-to-end encrypted solutions, privacy-respecting software and hardware solutions, and compartmentalization strategies. His expertise also extends to multifactor authentication, setup and management of self-hosted IDP solutions, custom DNS filtering and configuration, website setup, configuration, security and management, and macOS, Windows, iOS setup and configuration to enhance security and privacy.
