Hello, Voices of the Bench community. This is Casey Baldwin with Ivoclar. If you've been curious about fast-firing zirconia to improve efficiency but aren't convinced it can deliver predictable, high-quality results, I'd encourage you to connect with us. Our new IPS emax Zirconia, offers multiple fast-fire protocols designed to help you save valuable production time while maintaining consistent outcomes. Time is money in every lab. Don't wait. Reach out today and discover how IPS emax Zirconia can help streamline your workflow. As full-arch dentistry continues to grow, so do the demands on today's dental laboratories. That's why Knight Dental recently launched SimplyARCH Studio, a dedicated production environment built exclusively for full-arch restorations. To support this specialized workflow, Knight invested in an XTCERA milling system and carefully evaluated multiple CAM software solutions before choosing hyperDENT. The decision came down to exceptional milling quality, minimal hand finishing, and impressive production efficiency. But what truly set hyperDENT apart was the implementation process. From the very beginning, the team provided more than software training—they shared the knowledge and experience needed to build an optimized workflow for complex full-arch cases. With proven expertise in advanced milling strategies and laboratory production, hyperDENT helped ensure SimplyARCH Studio was designed for long-term success from day one. Join us at the Race For the Future 12 to raise money for the Foundation For Dental Laborary Technology. September 27th in Valley View, Texas! https://dentallabfoundation.org/news-events/race-for-the-future/ Shawn Nowak from Nowak Dental Supplies joins Elvis and Barb to talk all things NOLA LabFest October 15-17th, including the welcome addition to the speaker lineup: martial arts instructor and business coach Jude Grayson. After Jude's keynote at last year's LabFest, the response was strong enough to bring him back for another keynote and a breakout session. The conversation starts with the obvious question: what the heck does a karate instructor know about the dental laboratory industry? As Jude explains, quite a bit. Having practiced martial arts since he was five years old and built a career around teaching, competition, entrepreneurship, and business coaching, Jude draws a surprising number of parallels between martial arts and business. He talks about discipline, competition, confidence, risk, and his “five-year-old board break moment”—the idea that sometimes the ability to succeed is already inside us, and the right coach simply helps unlock it. He also explains how those lessons translate into working with business owners and helping them recognize opportunities they may not see themselves. The conversation then turns toward one of the biggest challenges facing dental laboratories today: knowing when it's time to pivot. With technology, AI, 3D printing, changing doctor workflows, and the evolving DSO landscape continuing to reshape the industry, Jude's NOLA LabFest keynote will focus on how business owners can recognize when change is necessary, decide when to act, and understand the risks that come with being an early adopter. He also shares some great perspective on failure, competition, and why making a bad business decision doesn't necessarily mean you've lost—the real loss comes when you stop competing altogether. Shawn also gives us a look at what else is happening at NOLA LabFest, including education on AI, social media marketing, employee culture, DSOs, and other topics affecting dental laboratories right now. And, of course, there's plenty of the NOLA LabFest fun mixed in, from the masquerade party and distillery tour to the return of Family Feud. It's a conversation about business, leadership, taking risks, and finding ways to keep dental laboratories moving forward—and it all starts with a karate instructor walking into a dental show.Special Guests: Jude Grayson and Shawn Nowak.

The Buzz: AI, Copper, Drone Delivery, and the Future of Supply Chain Leadership

Supply Chain Now Radio

From shifting commodity markets and explosive data center growth to drone delivery and AI-enabled workplaces, supply chain leaders are navigating change from every direction. In this episode of The Buzz, powered by Toyota Automated Logistics, Scott Luton and Dr. Rod Thomas are joined by Hans Kremer, partner and co-founder of Inchange, to unpack the latest supply chain headlines and explore what professionals and organizations need to thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment. The discussion shifts to professional development, where Hans shares why companies need to stop training in silos and create more cross-functional learning experiences. The group also explores lifelong learning, the value of hands-on operational experience, and why AI should be viewed as a capability multiplier, not simply a tool for cutting costs or increasing efficiency. They close with powerful insights on leadership, trust, empathy, and creating environments where people can succeed. Key Takeaways: Successful change starts with the people doing the work. Find true advocates early, listen carefully to resistance, communicate the “why” repeatedly, and give teams the time and resources needed to implement change. Supply chain has become a strategic differentiator. Competition increasingly happens between entire supply chain ecosystems, not simply individual companies. Tomorrow's supply chain professionals need more than technical expertise. Strategic inquiry, discernment, judgment, adaptability, communication, and influence will become increasingly important as AI expands access to technical capabilities. Copper and other critical resources could become major constraints on AI and electrification growth. Data centers, infrastructure investment, geopolitics, tariffs, and limited natural resources are creating complex global supply challenges. Professional development needs to become cross-functional. Giving employees opportunities to experience sales, operations, supply chain, finance, and other perspectives can help break down silos and improve organizational performance. AI should make people more capable, not simply more efficient. Organizations that use AI only to automate existing tasks may miss its greater potential to enable employees to solve problems and perform work they could not previously do. Leadership is about enabling the success of others. Strong leaders remove obstacles, protect their teams, model the right behaviors, build mutual trust, and create an environment people want to follow. This episode brings together timely supply chain news with practical lessons on leadership, learning, technology, and organizational performance. Whether you're preparing your workforce for AI, navigating major market shifts, developing the next generation of supply chain talent, or simply trying to become a stronger leader, Hans, Rod, and Scott offer actionable perspectives you can put to work right away.   Additional Links and Resources: Toyota Automated Logistics: https://toyota-automated-logistics.com/ With That Said: https://bit.ly/WTS-8-August-2026 Leading Beyond The Next Disruption: https://bit.ly/Mourad-Tamoud-SE Rod's LinkedIn Post: https://bit.ly/The-Perfect-SC-Manager Han's LinkedIn Post: https://bit.ly/Hans-Music-Stories Copper jumps to its highest level ever. You Feel: The Two-Word Technique That Calms Any Crisis with Doug Noll

Most leaders try to manage a crisis with logic; it rarely works. In this episode of Leading Through Crisis, host Céline Williams sits down with Doug Noll — a former trial lawyer, peacemaker, and author of De-Escalate — who spent over a decade teaching maximum-security inmates how to stop fights before they start. Doug breaks down the neuroscience of conflict: why 95% of the brain is emotional (not rational), why the prefrontal cortex shuts down under threat, and why leading through logic during a crisis is fighting biology itself.  He introduces a simple, research-backed technique called affect labeling (saying "you feel" and naming someone's emotion) that can calm a nervous system in under two minutes, whether you're in a boardroom, a family crisis, or a prison yard. Along the way, Doug shares one of the most powerful stories from his 10 years working in California and Connecticut prisons: a woman serving a 25-to-life sentence who used this exact skill to reconnect with the son she had relinquished 18 years earlier. If you're a business owner, executive, or leader who wants practical tools for leading through change, conflict, and crisis — not just theory — this conversation will change how you show up in every hard conversation you have next. — Douglas E. Noll, JD, MA, is a lawyer-turned-peacemaker. He is an award-winning author, teacher, trainer, and highly experienced mediator. Doug's work carries him from international work to helping people resolve deep interpersonal and ideological conflicts. His training has included everything from teaching life inmates to be peacemakers and mediators in maximum-security prisons to training analysts at the Congressional Budget Office how to de-escalate members of Congress and staff. You can learn more at https://dougnoll.com. The special site with resources for our listeners, https://dougnoll.co/crisis, goes live August 17th. You can also connect with Doug on... Leitwolf - Leadership, Führung & Management

Many leaders believe that resilience means enduring as much as possible. Always being strong, always being available, always having an answer. But that is exactly where the Superman trap begins. In this episode of the LEITWOLF® Podcast, Stefan explains why real resilience does not mean being invulnerable. The best leaders are not the ones who can push through the longest, but the ones who can regain clarity, rebuild energy, and provide direction quickly after periods of pressure. Because those who constantly run on empty lose exactly what leadership needs most today: clarity, composure, and good decision-making. Stefan shows why leaders do not have to carry everything alone, why vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, and how shared responsibility makes teams stronger. This episode is about replacing perfection with honesty, consciously handing over responsibility, and planning recovery just as consistently as performance. You will also hear a short conversation with Adrian Rhaese, founder of Enviotech, about his personal perspective on resilience and how he cultivates and uses it in his everyday life as an entrepreneur. ––– Do you like the LEITWOLF® Leadership podcast? Faith-Fueled EntrepreneurshipShe left an abusive, alcohol-fueled marriage with twin boys in tow, rebuilt her career from the ground up, and eventually grew into the owner of a boutique recruiting and staffing firm that can run without her. Mary joins us for a deeply human conversation about what it actually takes to survive big life transitions while still building a business with integrity, warmth, and staying power. If you're navigating motherhood, entrepreneurship, or both, her story hits with honesty and calm authority. We talk about faith as a real-world leadership tool, not a slogan. Mary shares how Al-Anon shaped her understanding of codependency, boundaries, and the daily choice to shift from worry to prayer. We also get specific about leadership and delegation, including the mindset that finally let her step away for weeks: building a team with trust, clarity, and decision-making power, then practicing a true disconnect. Then we go somewhere unexpected and beautiful: Mary's Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Walking mile after mile becomes a mirror for purpose, self-talk, and slowing down, lessons she brings straight back into how she leads Advent Talent Group and how she thinks about work-life blend instead of chasing “balance.” Along the way, we touch the Enneagram, DISC, resilience through the recession and COVID-19, and why community groups matter for women business owners. If you enjoy this conversation, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a steadier next step, and leave a quick review so more people can find stories like Mary's.Resources:WPO: Women President's OrganizationNAWBO: National Association Women Business OwnersRotary of MinnesotaAllied ExecutivesBruno PressConnect with Mary:LinkedIn: Mary Younggren & Advent Talent GroupWebsite: Advent Talent GroupContact the Host, Kelly Kirk:Email: info.ryh7@gmail.comGet Connected/Follow:The Hue Drop Newsletter: Subscribe HereIG: @ryh_pod & @thekelly.tanke.kirkFacebook: Reclaiming Your Hue Facebook PageCAKES Affiliate Link: KELLYKIRKCredits:Editor: Joseph KirkMusic: Kristofer Tanke Thanks for listening & cheers to Reclaiming Your Hue!

Leitwolf - Leadership, Führung & Management

What does it take to build a brand that truly stands out – courage, creativity, or the culture behind it? In this episode of the LEITWOLF® Podcast, Stefan speaks with Eliah Werner, Vice President Brand at SIXT. Eliah started his career at Procter & Gamble, worked on brands such as Oral-B and Pampers, and now leads the evolution of one of Germany's boldest and most iconic brands. Together, they explore why strong brands are never just built through great campaigns, but through a culture that enables courage, creativity, ownership, and speed. Eliah shares how SIXT defines its brand through three simple principles: bold, fun, and premium. He explains why every brand touchpoint either strengthens or weakens the brand, why the first three seconds matter more than ever in digital communication, and how AI is already transforming the way ideas are created, activated, and scaled. But this conversation is not only about brand leadership. It is also about people leadership. Stefan and Eliah talk about honesty, emotional intelligence, feedback, trust, and the importance of giving young talents more freedom and responsibility. Eliah shares why leadership means creating space for others to grow – and why the best ideas often come from the team, not from the top. A conversation about bold brands, human leadership, AI-powered creativity, and the courage to stand out without losing who you are. ––– Mehr von Eliah Werner // LINKEDIN: https://www.linkedin.com/in/eliah-werner/ ––– Do you like the LEITWOLF® Leadership podcast? You can do great customer experience work and still lose the budget conversation if you walk into leadership meetings with the wrong proof. We're tired of being asked to defend CX ROI with scores that don't match the company scorecard, and we're even more tired of watching smart CX leaders “white knuckle” their way through budget season. This conversation is about changing the starting point so ROI becomes obvious, credible, and repeatable. We talk through why proving return on investment is so hard when the work begins with tactics and ends with rationalizing the spend. Instead, we start with organizational goals and translate them into what executives already track: more revenue and fewer expenses. We break down how words like scale, growth, market share, and even workplace of choice can become measurable outcomes, and how a simple blueprint helps you identify the leaders who need buy-in, the levers you can pull in the customer journey, and the behavior changes you expect to see. Then we get practical about customer experience metrics. NPS and CSAT can be helpful feedback indicators, but they're not enough on their own. We dig into behavioral metrics and analytics that connect CX strategy to business impact, including retention, churn, conversion, friction points, complaint trends, and operational cost to serve. If your goals don't mention “customer,” we show you how to stop worrying and start proving how customer behavior drives every business result. If you want more funding, more trust, and a stronger CX business case, listen through and then write down your top organizational goals and start there. Growing your business isn't the same as building one that can keep growing without you. Business Leadership for Women isn't about becoming a better boss—it's about creating the leadership, people strategy, and culture that allow your business to thrive without everything depending on you. When those foundations are missing, growth often leads to overwhelm instead of freedom. In this conversation, Lindsay introduces the LPC Method—Leadership, People Strategy, and Culture—and explains why these three interconnected growth levers determine whether your business can scale sustainably. Rather than chasing another framework, you'll discover how intentional leadership creates confident decision-making, how a strategic approach to your team strengthens your business growth strategy, and why sustainable success starts long before the next marketing campaign. You'll also hear why business management for women requires a shift from doing everything yourself to developing leaders throughout your organization. Lindsay shares real coaching stories that reveal how leadership coaching and leadership development coaching help founders move from constant firefighting to building capable teams that think independently, take ownership, and contribute with confidence. If you've ever wondered why decisions always land back on your desk, why delegation feels difficult, or why your team still relies on you despite your best efforts, this episode offers a practical way forward. 152. Leading Below The Surface: How To Build The Trust, Culture, & Connection Real Leadership Requires With LaTonya Wilkins [Master Class]

Leadership development is not about checking boxes. It is about building the awareness, communication, trust, and consistency required to help people grow, perform, and feel safe enough to do meaningful work. LaTonya Wilkins brings a powerful conversation on what it really means to lead below the surface. From psychological safety and culture to coaching, delegation, community, and connection across differences, this master class challenges leaders to stop treating leadership like a static skillset and start looking at how leadership is actually experienced by the people they serve. Learn how to honestly rate your leadership by asking better questions: • How clear is your communication? • How do people experience you in meetings, emails, and difficult conversations? • Are you giving people the guardrails they need without making them too tight? • Are you creating hope, trust, compassion, and stability? • Are you developing people, or just expecting them to perform? • Are burnout, churn, poor delegation, and low trust signs of a deeper leadership problem? This conversation also explores why many leadership development programs fail because they rely on outdated models, performative culture work, and initiatives that were never truly embedded into the organization. Real culture cannot be reduced to perks, titles, slogans, or temporary programs. It has to show up in how leaders communicate, make decisions, build teams, manage change, and create belonging. LaTonya also brings a needed perspective on coaching and community in a noisy market where too many people sell quick fixes without doing the real work. Strong leadership, real coaching, and healthy culture are all relationship businesses. They require trust, self-awareness, accountability, and the right people around you at every stage. For executives, founders, HR leaders, coaches, consultants, people managers, and anyone responsible for leading others, this conversation is a reminder that real leadership still wins when it is rooted in trust, development, culture, coaching, and community.
