Our RAM 50th Anniversary Deep Dish Part 2 is finally here! Whether remastered, half speed mastered, mono mastered, or mastered-mastered, RAM is top-flight Macca and and a near-perfect listen. Tony and T.J. pick-up with Paul's first U.S. #1 single (no, not “Back in Brazil”) and take us through the Archive Collection bonus tracks. They also find time to address: Tony's love of the lovely, long haired lady, Linda McCartney Why nothing inspires confidence quite like 1980's deodorant commercials And which is better: Damn Yankees, the baseball musical, or Damn Yankees, the Nugent-fronted “supergroup”? If you love this record (and who doesn't?), you'll love this episode. We believe that we can't be wrong! 1970-71 was a prolific period for Beatles solo releases, and so last month we were blessed with yet another 50th anniversary edition of an iconic album: Paul and Linda McCartney's RAM. Tony and T.J. use the occasion to deep dish their favorite solo Paul work. And while they're at it: T.J. and Tony reminisce about their old radio days and the technological marvel of audio cartridges Tony does his best Magic Alex impression, explaining the technological marvel of half-speed mastering. And the guys debate whether "Too Many People" can knock off "Motor of Love" and "Ou Est Le Soleil" for the top spot on the all-time greatest solo Paul charts As usual, there's a lot of great music to talk about, so this one's going to be a two-parter. And also as usual, there might be a little bit of salty language. Though T.J. insists he's just saying "piece of cake." EPISODE LINKS: Lend a moment of your time to help out the show! Tell a friend, and rate and review on Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen. Where does RAM land on your list of top solo Beatles records? Let the debates begin over on our Facebook page!

Our season break hiatus came a little early and has lasted quite a while. But Luke returns with friend and guest Harry in Dionne’s stead, for an anniversary celebration of Mark Cousins’ documentary series on cinema history; The Story of Film. Harry is relatively new to considering the wide world of cinema as art and upon recommendation has been watching Cousins’ documentary series as a “way in” to understanding the history of cinema and important milestones and key figures. Enthusiasm proved infectious and Luke decided to rewatch alongside Harry to discuss viewing choices and insights from the series. Join us for a spirited talk about film through fresh eyes, in a wide-ranging discussion featuring an eclectic assortment of titles. We discuss an Iranian documentary short about a village where those suffering leprosy live, in Forough Farrohkhzad's The House is Black (Khaneh siah ast). The intense emotion laid bare in close-up in Carl Theodor Dreyer's The Passion of Joan of Arc. Harry espouses a newfound love for Agnès Varda's work with the discovery of her intimate portrait of Rue Daguerre shop owners in Daguerréotypes. Luke closes out the episode with a couple of recommendations. The rhythms of life, as seen on screen in a 24-hour period assembled from cinema, in Christian Marclay's video art installation piece The Clock. Finally, delving into the nature of self identity in Derek DelGaudio's filmed hybrid magic act meets performance and spoken word stage show; In & Of Itself. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com This is part one of a two-part series and is all about our 2020 Sturgis, SD motorcycle trip. In August 2020, members of Law Abiding Biker™ Media along with members of the Sworn Few LEMC embarked on a 9 day, 3200-mile, 5 state cross-country motorcycle trip. This trip would take us out of Washington State and into Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota. We stayed over in cities such as Missoula, Montana, Billings, Montana, Rapid City, South Dakota, and Butte, Montana. There will be a motorcycle documentary film released later this year on this entire trip and experience! SEE ALL LAW ABIDING BIKER MEDIA DOCUMENTARY FILMS HERE! During our Sturgis trip, we met up with our beloved Patron Members outside of Sturgis, South Dakota for an entire day. Our Patron Members support us financially, so we can continue to help as many bikes as we can worldwide. Of course, our Patron Members get benefits and exclusive access such as meetups like this. There was an awesome day ride prepared for the members. We all met up in the morning and we all went on a beautiful day ride together. We had plenty of time to visit and get to know each other on a more personal level. We ended the day at a private location where the Patron Members enjoyed a catered dinner by Law Abiding Biker Media!. We ate, drank, and visited and it was a great time. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE We visited many places and saw a ton of great country on our Sturgis motorcycle trip. We stayed at some good and not so good hotels and motels. We ate at some good restaurants and some bad ones. We experienced good and bad weather and a few of the bikes experienced some mechanical problems that had to be fixed. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! We had some very funny times as a group and made memories that will last a lifetime. Everything that happened shaped the trip in some way. Listen in as we tell all the stories of our Sturgis motorcycle trip.
