In 2022, a couple of scientist squads from Oxford and Vienna pulled off a real mind-bender. They did this experiment where they split up a photon using some fancy crystal mojo. And get this: the photon ended up cruising through both the past and the future at the same time! It's like time travel, but with a twist—'cause, ya know, there are always exceptions to the rule. But hey, it's still pretty darn cool to think about, right? Makes you wonder what other crazy stuff's out there waiting to be discovered! Credit: CC BY-SA 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/... In this episode, Encounter Culture host Charlotte Jusinski and series co-host Stephanie Padilla, a member of Isleta Pueblo, trace a throughline from Miguel Trujillo to their guest Kara Bobroff (Diné /Lakota), an educator honored by President Barack Obama as one of the best emerging social entrepreneurs in the country. Kara's exceptional career achievements include her current role as executive director of One Generation (One Gen) and founder of the Native American Community Academy (NACA) and NACA Inspired School Network (NISN). If knowledge is power, access is the key to unlocking its potential. Kara has made it her life's work to provide every Native child a way in. “I think at the center of how I was raised is really being of service to others and understanding that anything is possible. The trio discusses Kara's incredible personal journey, her commitment to supporting Indigenous youth, and how culturally competent education provides Native communities the tools they need to continue their fight for equal rights and protection. This season, Encounter Culture is sharing the story of Miguel Trujillo, an unsung hero of voting rights activism for Native Americans in New Mexico. Gary S. Bobroff Join Gary Bobroff as he throws light on the mysterious phenomenon of crop circles within the context of modern psychological reality, Crop Circles, Jung, and the Reemergence of the Archetypal Feminine in an engaging look at the science, history, and symbolic nature of the mystery of these annually occurring giant-scale works of art. Gary S. Bobroff offers a framework for the reader's own deeper consideration of crop circles by examining both the phenomenon itself and the nature of the era into which it has arrived, with special consideration of its relevance to Jungian archetypal psychology. Living in the moment of the death of one worldview and the birth of another, our culture suffers from a hyper-masculine inflation that has us alienated, imagining ourselves to be separate from each other and the earth. Today we are presented with environmental, social, and spiritual crises and mysteries that call us back toward closer participation with the world. Crop Circles--formed in living grain--exemplify the archetypal feminine nature of this moment's change: a calling toward conscious, felt engagement with a dynamic, living, mysterious world. Gary has an undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada and a Master's degree in Jungian-oriented Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute of Santa Barbara, California. He writes and speaks internationally, exploring the ancient themes that draw us further into engagement with life's deep mystery. In this interview with Biznews.com's Alec Hogg, Discovery Health's CEO Dr Jonathan Broomberg explains why he is coming out against Bobroff with all guns blazing - and explains that millions of South Africans with Discovery medical policies don't need ambulance chasers as they are automatically covered for accident expenses.
“We live in a world “which in some respects is mysterious; things can be experienced which remain inexplicable; not everything which happens can be anticipated. The unexpected and the incredible belong in this world. Only then is life whole. For me the world has from the beginning been infinite and ungraspable.” – C. G. JungC. G. Jung developed the term "synchronicity" to describe the common experience of "meaningful coincidence." Studies of synchronicity are unsettling some of the powers that be and raising questions about the integrity of scientific inquiry. Gary Bobroff, chief instigator and organizer of the Matter and Psyche: 2014 Synchronicity Symposium in Joshua Tree, CA, talks about synchronicity and the upcoming symposium. He provides a little background for the concept of synchronicity and shares his thoughts about why this could be a game-changing event. Gary Bobroff is author of Crop Circles, Jung, and the Reemergence of the Archetypal Feminine. For more information about Gary and his work, visit http://gsbobroff.com/.
