On today's episode of the Occult Symbolism and Pop Culture with Isaac Weishaupt podcast we start a deep dive into Portals! In Part 1 we'll define the term from the idea of literal gateways to the metaphysical concept of thresholds and how they represent transitions between worlds or unlocking enlightenment through magick rituals using triangles of manifestation and magical circles. We'll talk about Carl Jung's symbolism of the portal as a gateway to the subconscious or shadow and we'll get into the tools used for portals like scrying stones or bathtubs. Finally we'll run through a ton of pop culture portals you've seen in your favorite films like Alice in Wonderland, 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twin Peaks!Stay subscribed to the show for Part 2 where we'll talk about literal portals- where are they, how are they constructed and who was messing around with these things. I'll provide examples from Jack Parsons to Britney Spears and Travis Scott before we get into the more modern concepts of portals when it comes to aliens and A.I. where we'll talk about the CCRU and AI entities crossing over into our world…Links:Stranger Things S1 and S4 analysis series: https://illuminatiwatcher.com/stranger-things-s1-occult-symbolism-of-eleven-mkultra-monolith-stargate-project-monarch/Kobe Bryant's Occult Kids Books: ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED! https://www.illuminatiwatcher.com/kobe-bryants-occult-kids-books-illuminati-confirmedWizard of Oz Esoteric Analysis: L. From Amy:When Keri and I recorded this episode in late 2022, I was still editing my second memoir for publication and she was drafting a book that's also now nearing publication. The podcast never got produced at that time, but I happened onto the recording this past winter and it caught my attention. Keri and I are still writing today. I'm starting new books and she's preparing to deliver a TED-x Talk this summer. And this conversation feels like a divinely timed gift from our former selves, and a personal invitation to you if you want it. Because yes, I absolutely am writing for my life. I know Keri still agrees.I had a stage one cancer diagnosis this past month. That's all I care to say about that right now, because this gets to be my story first. For now, I want you to know that I have emerged on the other side, and am currently cancer free with a heightened sense of awareness: One reason I need to survive IS FOR MY WRITING. I need to write this story for me. And I will share it someday.I have wisdom I am still gaining, and knowledge that people will need.I don't need to justify that impulse nor ask permission. I don't need to know now how it turns out. I am healing. I will be creating. I live into my passions. How about you? Keri Mangis is more than just an author and speaker—she's a guide for those seeking deeper meaning and transformation in a chaotic world. With over 20 years of experience as a wholeness advocate and spiritual teacher, Keri understands the frustration of feeling stuck and disconnected. Through her writing and teachings, Keri helps people break free from limiting beliefs to rediscover their true essence and align with their core values. Her spiritual and personal growth studies and certifications have run the gamut over the years from yoga, Ayurveda, energy work, and meditation. Most recently, she has taken on studying Alchemy, Jungian Psychology, archetypes, and rites of passage. She has completed several courses with Sharon Blackie, Michael Meade, and the Center of Applied Jungian Studies. Her writing has appeared in Spirituality and Health Magazine, Star Tribune, Elephant Journal, and others. Her first book, *Embodying Soul: A Return to Wholeness*, received multiple awards, including the 2020 IPA award for Mind, Body & Spirit and the 2020 Readers' Favorite Gold Medal in Non-Fiction Spiritual and Supernatural. While Truth Fairy is away, Dr. T hosts this episode solo, welcoming Scott Hill, author of “Confrontation with the Unconscious: Jungian Depth Psychology and Psychedelic Experience”, who completed his PhD with a dissertation titled ‘Building a Jungian Framework for Understanding Psychedelic Induced Psychotic States' at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Dr. Hill shares his early transformative encounters with LSD in 1967, which, though initially ecstatic, devolved into psychologically traumatic events. These experiences led him on a lifelong journey of self-exploration, academic inquiry, and healing.  Scott shares his journey very openly with Dr. T and they discuss how Scott's return to academia in Cailfornia, studying under Stan Grof and Ralph Metzner, deepened his understanding of his own experiences. They examine how Jung's concepts of the collective unconscious and archetypes reflect in intense psychedelic states. Scott details how key reading, Holotropic Breathwork, a medicine circle. and an MDMA-assisted therapy session at Burning Man, and MDMA-assisted therapy all helped heal his ongoing flashbacks.  Dr. T and Scott Hill share a deep and revelatory conversation, at the end of which Scott expresses gratitude for the path he was forced onto in spite of how painfully it began. He describes writing and academic research as transformative tools and identifies scholarship as a spiritual practice in its own right. “Confrontation with the Unconscious: Jungian Depth Psychology and Psychedelic Experience”, Dr. Hill's book, is now foundational in psychedelic psychotherapy circles, and his insights are key to understanding much about psychedelic psychology. “As I read about the myths of Gilgamesh, Inanna,, Job and Christ, I was struck by the resonance between passages in those myths and my difficult psychedelic experiences. Given the Jungian view that myths are expressions of the archetypal unconscious, and given the resonance I experienced reading those myths, I started to wonder whether my terrifying trips, and perhaps those of others, might be understood, in Jung's words, as experiences of an archetypal nature.” - Scott Hill About Scott Hill:Scott J. Hill, Ph.D., lives in Sweden, where he conducts scholarly research on the intersection between psychedelic studies and Jungian psychology. Send us a textIn this episode, depth and somatic psychotherapist, Molly Mitchell-Hardt Field dives into the archetypal pattern of psychological transformation as depicted in the art and science of Alchemy. She argues that a symbol understanding of alchemy serves as a foundational understanding of psychology."Alchemy can serve as a framework to hold the archetypal patterns of transformation, not only intrapsychically, but also interpsychically between two people, a group of people or even on a global scale. When we are able to see ourselves in an archetypal pattern, it takes us out of the solopsistic view of the individual and into a sense of connection to the all, the everything. We get out of the illusion that we are alone in our experiences, in our own heads, in our own lives, even in our own time on the planet. It connects us to this universal substrate of reality. On some level, I believe that to understand psychology one must understand alchemy."Molly's Offerings:To inquire about 1:1 work or about Molly's Sacred Motherhood Online Support Group, schedule a free consultation or email mollymitchellhardt@gmail.comReferences:Support your Local BookstoreThe Anatomy of the Psyche by Edward EdingerFollow us @mollymitchellhardt and @thewholeparadox This podcast was produced in association with Channel the Sun by Kevin Joseph Grossmann. Beyond coincidence: How to embrace the magic of synchronicity - Mike Bais

In this week's show Lian is joined once again by Mike Bais. Mike is a physiotherapist, counselor, university lecturer and author, also having had his own practice for many years. He is a trained priest in the esoteric christian tradition, which lead him to follow the mystical side of this lineage called the A.S.A. (Apostolic Succession of Arimathea). He believes that the Teachings of Christ are universal and should not be limited to a religious structure. His esoteric training comes from the western mystery tradition and the Toledano Kabbalah. Living in the Netherlands (Utrecht) he extensively worked with teachers and groups in the UK.  After some decades of study and practice in the western esoteric tradition, the inner work came together in these three streams or disciplines that make up the Circle of Avalon. Mike sees it as his life's work to teach these traditions to whomever wishes to receive them. He is a mystic and teacher by nature and through his groups, individual sessions, workshops and writing, transmits them in the most pure and true way he knows. Mike is the author of 3 books: Paths on the Tree of Wisdom – A course in 21st Century Kabbalah, A Kabbalistic view on science: Book 1 and A Kabbalistic view on science: Book 2. In this show, a part 2 to last week's episode on fate and destiny, Mike and Lian explore the deep mystery of synchronicity—how meaningful coincidences shape our spiritual journeys and reveal hidden connections between the seen and unseen realms. Together, they trace the threads of psychological time, archetypal resonance, and the transformative potential of recognising synchronicity as a guiding force in our lives. Drawing from Jungian psychology, Kabbalistic teachings, and mythopoetic wisdom, they uncover how synchronicity isn't mere coincidence but an intricate dialogue between our inner and outer worlds. Jung described synchronicity as an acausal connection between events that hold personal meaning, bridging the gap between the material and metaphysical realms. They discuss how we can cultivate awareness of these signs, interpret them in service of our spiritual path, and discern their deeper meaning without falling into superstition or over-interpretation. Throughout this rich and soulful discussion, Lian and Mike invite listeners to consider the ways synchronicity can awaken them to their own mythic journey. How can we sharpen our perception to notice synchronicities when they arise? What role does psychological time play in these moments? And how can recognising the larger archetypal patterns help us live a more meaningful life? Join them on this journey into the heart of synchronicity, where myth meets reality, and where the unseen forces of life conspire to lead us toward wholeness. We'd love to know what YOU think about this week's show. Let's carry on the conversation… please leave a comment wherever you are listening or in any of our other spaces to engage. What you'll learn from this episode: Synchronicity as a Mirror of the Soul: Jung described synchronicity as an event that has no apparent causal connection yet holds profound personal meaning. These moments reveal the interconnectedness of our inner and outer worlds, guiding us toward greater self-awareness and spiritual insight. Cultivating Synchronicity in Daily Life: Developing presence and intuitive awareness allows us to notice synchronicities as they unfold and integrate their wisdom into our path. Rather than dismissing them as coincidences, we can recognise them as invitations from the unseen to deepen our engagement with life. The Mythic Thread of Synchronicity: Synchronicities often link to archetypal stories and patterns, offering a bridge between personal experiences and the deeper currents of collective meaning. Understanding these patterns can help us see our own lives as part of a greater mythic unfolding. On the 94th episode of the What is a Good Life? podcast, I am delighted to introduce our guest, Jennifer Murphy. Jennifer is an Irish mythologist, anthropologist, creativity mentor, and the founder of The Celtic Creatives. A Dubliner born and bred, from the time she could talk, Jennifer's grandmother, Frances O'Sullivan, filled her ears with tales from Irish myth and folklore, fuelling a now 40-year fascination with the stories of her lineage. Jennifer's apprenticeship in following her soul's breadcrumbs over the past twenty years has guided her work and formal studies in Medieval Irish and Celtic Studies, Sociocultural Anthropology, Creativity and Innovation, and Jungian Psychology and Art Therapy. She supports creatives from diverse fields to (re)connect with the mythopoetic imagination of Ireland, using ancient wisdom to inform modern creativity through myth, dreamwork, imagination, and the body. She is currently writing a book on what Irish mythology can teach us about our creativity. In this glorious conversation, Jennifer shares her journey of listening to her soul's story—a path which has revealed her Dán (soul's gift) and includes balancing the masculine and feminine, Sus and Imbas—the scientific and divine inspiration—exploring dreams, other worlds, and Irish mythology, and imbuing everything around us with life. This whole episode may offer you many new lines of inquiry, as well as ways of perceiving this world, which may be integral to experiencing your own good life.Subscribe for weekly episodes, every Tuesday, and check out my YouTube channel (link below) for full interviews and clips. For further content and information check out the following:Jen's Website: https://www.celticcreatives.com/Jen's Substack: https://celticcreatives.substack.com/Jen's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/celticembodiment/- For the What is a Good Life? podcast's YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@whatisagoodlife/videos- My newsletter: https://www.whatisagood.life/- My LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mark-mccartney-14b0161b4/Contact me at mark@whatisagood.life if you'd like to explore your own lines of self-inquiry through 1-on-1 coaching, take part in my weekly free silent conversations, discuss experiences I create to stimulate greater trust, communication, and connection, amongst your leadership teams, or you simply want to get in touch.00:00 Introduction03:00 What is my Dán (Soul's gift)?09:48 Taking up the path of the soul15:00 Wisdom: Sus and Imbas20:00 Balancing masculine and feminine energy23:30 Exploring the masculine & unconscious27:30 Mythology - exploring the story of the soul30:30 Exploring dreams & other worlds33:30 The land is alive with soul35:30 Other worlds & connecting with land39:10 Reconnecting to the divine45:40 The Irish psyche & mythology49:48 Connecting with the language and folklore55:30 What is a good life for Jen?

Individu – WHAT? Yeah… it's a big, fancy psychological word… individuation. But it's a word worth knowing and a process well worth going through! Why, you ask? Because individuated people know a lot of things: they know who they are, what their purpose is, what they want, how they feel, what they think, and what they are willing to do and what they are not willing to do… WITHOUT WORRYING what others will think of them. And THAT means, if you are willing to work toward being an individuated person, you'll do things like set healthy boundaries with yourself and other around food, you will follow commitments you make to yourself to exercise, you will decide what people are healthy for you to be with, and you will avoid emotional eating and addictive behavior. Jungian psychology takes a fascinating look at the relationship between the conscious and unconscious parts of our minds. How is this framework brought more to the forefront through psychedelics and an understanding of our many parts? In this episode of Vital Psychedelic Conversations, Johanna interviews Jung experts and Vital instructors: Maria Papaspyrou, psychotherapist and co-founder and director of the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy (IPT); and Dr. Ido Cohen, clinical psychologist and founder of The Integration Circle. They talk about the experiences that helped them first understand the concept of multiple different parts making up their being, and dive into what it is about psychedelics that allows us to discover and work with these different parts: how the protector parts of our psyche work overtime to keep parts away from us, and how psychedelics can dissolve them, leading to a better understanding of ourselves. How much of our persona is based on who we feel we're supposed to be? What shadow parts are stopping us from being our true selves? And what amazing parts of ourselves have yet to be discovered? They discuss: The idea of self as a unified entity: Does this concept make sense anymore? Risks in understanding how different parts work together, from justifying behaviors to inflating defensive structures The need to move away from solution-based to more process-focused frameworks, and the power in treating healing and growth as an ongoing process The rejection of the shadow and the archetypal (and impossible) wish to extinguish all suffering The large discrepancy between what people think being a psychedelic facilitator is vs. the reality and more! Tammy Roth, PhD spent decades as a holistic psychotherapist and now works as a quantum astrologer, women's retreat leader, and the creator of Quantum Astro School. She guides clients in accessing their chart through the quantum field for a more holistic experience which is how she has gained much of her astrological understanding. She also uses the quantum embodied approach to activate galactic points in your chart for greater access to divine intelligence. I had the pleasure of experiencing two Quantum Astrology sessions with Tammy and I had to have her on to talk about this method of interacting with the birth chart! We talk about her conglomeration of skills that have resulted in the way she facilitates these sessions, how astrology is alive, and her Quantum Astro School! I was very impressed with how effective and transformational our sessions were and it was a pleasure to dive deeper into all of it with her in this conversation! You can find Tammy at: https://www.tammyroth.com/ on IG: https://www.instagram.com/tammyrothforgottencoast/ on FB: https://www.facebook.com/tammyroth ........................Follow Wendy on IG: @light.alwayswinsWatch LAW Youtube videos @lightalwayswins33I am now offering Akashic Readings. He integrates Jungian psychology and somatic therapy into his coaching and speaking engagements In this episode of the Dad Edge podcast, host Larry Hagner and guest Connor Beaton talk about the power of voice in conveying emotions and creating a comfortable environment for effective communication. They discuss how slowing down speech and being mindful of tone can reduce anxiety and improve relationships. Connor Beaton shares his expertise in voice training and music, explaining how a person's voice can reflect their internal state. He suggests that speaking quickly or in a high-pitched tone can be indicative of anxiety or discomfort. By intentionally slowing down speech, individuals can bring attention and presence to their delivery, thereby potentially reducing anxiety and creating a more calm external perception. The conversation also extends to the impact of voice in parenting and marriage. Connor Beaton emphasize how their calm demeanor and voice can influence the behavior and emotions of their children and partners. They note that when they are calm, their children and partners also tend to be calm. This demonstrates that voice plays a crucial role in creating a sense of safety and comfort in relationships. www.thedadedge.com/457 www.thedadedge.com/alliance www.mantalks.com
