What if one 8 week course could completely change how you lead your family, live your faith, and engage the world? In this episode, Gladiator, Sheepdog, Thor, and Goose break down Carry The Fire—the most impactful experience in Men's Alliance—and share real stories from men across the country whose lives were transformed at our November FTX in Texas. From intense preparation and brotherhood forged through struggle… to powerful testimonies of restored marriages, renewed faith, and bold leadership—this is more than training. It's a movement. After November's FTX:
Parshas Tzav: Carry the Fire Parshas Tzav opens with a surprising command. The Kohen begins his day by removing ashes from the Mizbeach, wearing his sacred garments for what seems like a simple, even messy task. Why start here? This episode explores a powerful idea through Rashi and the Lubavitcher Rebbe: the ashes are not leftovers, they are the foundation. Yesterday's effort, sacrifice, and growth are what fuel the fire of today. As we approach Pesach, this message becomes personal. Redemption is not built from nothing. It is built from everything we have already endured and carried forward.
Can a man be too old for Men's Alliance?Oscar “Guru” Womack answers that question loud and clear.Guru shares his story of growing up in Washington, DC, serving more than 22 years in the Air Force, building a 53-year marriage, and going through Carry The Fire at 78 years old.Guru is from Sooner Tribe in Oklahoma, and became part of Men's Alliance after attending Men's Ignite in Dallas. What started as curiosity turned into full commitment — and eventually led him through one of the most challenging and life-changing experiences in Men's Alliance. In this episode, we talk about: • how Guru first heard about Men's Alliance • why he almost didn't do Carry The Fire • what it was like going through FTX at 78 • lessons from 22 years in the Air Force • practical marriage wisdom from 53 years of marriage • why older men are still desperately needed in the fight • how men can keep growing spiritually no matter their age • why Carry The Fire is for every man willing to be sharpenedIf you've ever thought: • “I'm too old for that” • “That's for younger guys” • “I missed my window” • “I can't do Men's Alliance”This episode is for you.Guru's story is proof that God is not done with a man just because he's older. If you're still breathing, you still have purpose. If you're still here, God can still sharpen you, use you, and send you. This is one of the most encouraging Men's Alliance testimonies you'll hear.Follow Men's AllianceInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/mensalliancetribe/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/mensalliancetribeTiktok - https://www.tiktok.com/@mensalliancetribeWebsite - https://www.mensalliancetribe.com/Explore Battlefield Coaching today and find yourself a Coach with experience overcoming a battle you are currently facing - https://battlefieldcoaching.comOrder the Book - Answer With Truth: The Ambassador's Field Manual for Leading Your Family Spiritually - https://amzn.to/3BmnuKV

A population catastrophe is unfolding before our eyes. There are simply too few children being born for society to sustain itself. All this was initially a challenge for developed countries, but today it is spreading to all four corners of the world. In the podcast Carry the Fire – Why Do We Need Children? we look at this most urgent issue of our time, a worldwide decline in fertility, and examine the societal changes that have the greatest impact on young people's lives. In this episode, Georgina Kiss-Kozma, Head of Research at the Youth Research Institute, and leading UK demographer Paul Morland talk about the consequences of this change, such as labour shortage, pension crisis and growing debt to name but a few.Az MCC Podcast adásaiban érdekes emberekkel izgalmas témákról beszélgetünk. Europe has faced many kinds of challenges over the decades, of which demographic change is perhaps the most important over the long-term. Neither politicians nor experts agree on whether it qualifies as a crisis, but the plummeting global birth rate is impossible to ignore. One important driver of this phenomenon is young people's tendency to postpone family creation. If Jesus were in the room today, what would your stance be? Generally, people held one of four. Some begged for healing. Some watched and studied. Some stood offensively in opposition. But then some, like the disciples, stood ready for orders. In today's message, Pastor Ricky teaches that when you're filled with the Holy Spirit you have no choice but to want to go. Today will you stand in opposition? Will you beg for healing? Will you stand passively and watch, or will you go?
When you think of the Champions of the Faith, who do you think of? Probably Paul or Moses. Maybe David. When you think of somebody that's filled with the Holy Spirit, who comes to mind? Maybe you imagine the disciples at Pentecost or John the Baptist inside Elizabeth's womb. Well Christian, today Pastor Ricky challenges you to look in the mirror. He'll teach you that if you're a believer, the same Holy Spirit that lived in all of those people lives inside of you. He's making you new from the inside out.
Satan has this little game that he likes to play in people's minds. It's a really old game. In fact, it's quite literally one of the oldest tricks in the book, found in the earliest chapters of Genesis. It's a little game called comparison. Have you heard of it? Today, Pastor Ricky teaches that this game of comparison is especially rampant in the age of social media but we can't let it win. Your spiritual gifts might look different from somebody else's, but the Holy Spirit has blessed you with a beautiful gift that is unique to you.
Often when we think about spiritual gifts, we think about the big flashy ones. We think of speaking in tongues or speaking prophecy over somebody. Those are wonderful gifts to receive, but there are so many other beautiful gifts to receive that fly under the radar. Today Pastor Ricky teaches that you've been uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit. Your gift might be in administration or in serving others but whatever your spiritual gift might be use it to spread the good news of Jesus.
Have you ever seen someone with an incredible gift or talent, but they know it too? Have you ever seen them strut in pride or have a false sense of humility? The Holy Spirit blesses believers with wonderful gifts but teaches that we should not flaunt our gifts in the ways we might see celebrities flaunt their talents. Today Pastor Ricky teaches that you've been given a gift and it's your responsibility to use that gift, whether it's the gift you prefer or not, to bring glory and honor to the name of Jesus Christ, not yourself.
For many of us, that might ring true, right? I think many of us have been there, longing for the Holy Spirit to move in a miraculous and undeniable way. You know, like how He used to. But we're unwilling to move ourselves. As Pastor Ricky will challenge us in today's message, if we fail to live in obedience to the clear instructions that we can find in Scripture, going out and sharing the gospel both with our words and actions, how can we expect God to move? He's not going to force His will on us.
Have you experienced that change? You'll know it if you have. If you've ever gotten too close to a flame, then you know it. It's probably even left a mark. In a similar way, if you've ever jumped into a pool or a pond, there's no questioning that it happened afterwards. As Pastor Ricky points out in today's message, both of those illustrations are frequent in Scripture when it comes to describing the effect of the Holy Spirit on our souls. When He fills our heart, it's going to be apparent and undeniable.
What a powerful reminder that salvation isn't an isolated event in the life of a believer. Yes, there is a distinct moment where you make that decision to trust in Christ and His Holy Spirit comes in and redeems your soul but that's not the end of it. That work of the Holy Spirit is just the beginning. As Pastor Ricky explains in today's message, the Spirit comes in and stays in the heart of a believer. Our hearts will never be the same. He brings transformation and He continues that process until we stand with Him in eternity.
In our age of science and reason, we struggle with the idea of the supernatural. Quite often, those who lean into this realm are considered crazy or radical, and in many cases, that description is accurate. But as Pastor Ricky begins his new series, Carry the Fire, in today's message, he'll remind us that the Holy Spirit is essential in the life of every believer. The only way that we can experience the Holy Spirit is supernaturally. His presence can't be physically measured. He connects with us in our spirit.

Your loved one died? Oh, let me give you some advice… You should be crying more. You should not be crying so much. You should not be back at work. You should get on with your life. You should not still be feeling this sad. You should, should, should…. When it comes to grief we are bombarded with conflicting messages, everyone’s opinion, and frankly a whole lot of should. “We’ve talked about this before—this idea of Carrying the Fire. It’s a concept that comes to us from the beautiful and haunting novel The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Set in an apocalyptic world, one that echoes Rome in the aftermath of the Antonine Plague or even our own days of pandemics and unprecedented unemployment, the novel follows a young boy and his father who are trying to survive in a world of darkness.”Ryan uses a concept from Cormac McCarthy’s The Road to explain the importance of the four Stoic virtues, on today’s Daily Stoic Podcast.***If you enjoyed this week’s podcast, we’d love for you to leave a review on Apple Podcasts. We all experience seasons of loss. Through it all, we must fight to keep our love strong. Derek joins us as we embark on an epic journey through Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize winning book, "The Road." It is the tender story of a boy and his papa surviving in a brutal world. The book is filled with deep running themes of what it truly means to be human, and what it means to "Carry The Fire." It happens to be my favorite book, and and it inspired the title, "We Carry The Fire." This is part 1 of 3. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/wecarrythefire/support
As a believer, when going through a tough time, how do you remain true to who you are and the access you have through the Holy Spirit? In this episode, I’ll discuss how to carry the fire of the Holy Spirit and how to have Jesus at the center of your life. Fire symbolizes trial/tribulation and purification. Surrendering yourself to God means to be set apart, “to be His sacred, living sacrifices” (Romans 12:1). Listen now to hear how the Holy Spirit continuously transforms my own life and how He can transform yours too.

Welcome to episode 008 of Psychosocial Cinema; since our last episode a lot has changed with the world. Many of us have been hit with unexpected trials ranging from things that are controllable, along with things that appear to be totally out of our control. To that end, the subject matter of this episode is quite timely and I am rather pleased that I can get the podcast up and running again after a short break with this particular film. I am joined by good friend, and fellow computer game advocate, Eric Goebel, as we tackle the film, The Road. This episode tackles some topics including depression, suicide, and morality, as the film in question deftly handles these subjects in a somewhat unrelenting, emotional manner. The reason I use the word unrelenting is due to the opposition that our protagonists face throughout the film. Whether it is mother nature or treacherous humans, Man and Boy have a lot of soul searching to do and a lot to uncover as they travel towards their uncertain safety. Please join Eric and I as we venture down The Road; pun most certainly intended. I just finished reading the book, The Road, by Cormac McCarthy. Wow. In times of anxiety and the times we live in, both at home and at work, this book really put things in perspective for me. And if you have young children - it's a must read. My job every episode is to break down and deconstruct the "War on Talent" in 15 minutes or less so that YOU can win this battle through a greater understanding of how clients, candidates, and recruiters work together. I will also answer the “Burning Question of the Week” which is “What are Five Things not to say in a job interview?”
There are brief moments where you get a glimpse inside your kid’s soul. When they meet their baby brother or sister for the first time and start to cry because of how much love they feel. When they say something truthful and real in a way that adults would never dare. When they offer to share what little they have with somebody else, without any prompting from you. It’s in these moments that you get the sense that humans are born with inherent goodness. It’s not something we are just taught. It’s a gift that comes to us at birth. There is purity there. Innocence. And yet, as a grown up, you’ve seen enough of the world to know that most people are no longer innocent and pure and good.So what does that mean? It means your job as a dad is to protect and encourage and nurture that goodness. In Cormac McCarthy’s haunting novel, The Road, he calls this “the fire.” A dad’s job is to help their child carry the fire, to keep them safe long enough that this goodness can pass onto the next generation, and that hope and light can remain in this dark world a little longer. That’s what you have to do today and every day. Help them carry the fire. Protect the gift. Pass on the light.
In this episode, I explore the costs of wanting to be liked and what to do when those internal voices arise that we just don't like.
Welcome to Carry the Fire Podcast. Hosted by Dustin Kensrue. This preview episode is offered as an introduction to share about what's to come from Carry the Fire Podcast. Our friend, Dan Koch (Depolarize! and You Have Permission Podcast), joins us to interview our host Dustin Kensrue as a means to explore where this show will go, discuss what it means to pursue the Good, True, and Beautiful, and what we can expect from our guest list. Next week, a full episode interview with Dustin will air on Dan's podcast, You Have Permission, that dives deep into the questions discussed on this episode and much much more. Make sure to tune in to his show next week for that interview. More specifically, the show aims to explore those big questions through the lens of the good, the true, and the beautiful. While these days it may feel like our disagreements and divisions threaten any hope of building a broad and beloved community, could it be possible that we all share some innate common belief in the value of these three transcendentals? By exploring our differences through this common ground, I believe our individual worldviews can be enriched by our interactions, becoming more good, true, and beautiful every day. To this end, we will engage in conversations with people like you, from a wide variety of backgrounds, beliefs, and professions. Whether the conversation is with a musician or author, a scientist or philosopher, we will together glimpse the world anew through their unique perspectives. Thank you for listening, - Dustin Kensrue SUPPORT THE PODCAST ON PATREON We are offering a special opportunity to support the show early through Patreon. Those Who Carry The Fire (Worship), Pastor DeCarlo Marcus, 4/7/19 by Freedom Church of Albany
Apostle Bill brings a timely word on how we are to carry the fire within us to others. Heaven on earth is what we are called to manifest on the earth!
Change takes more than hard work. It takes God-powered people who are filled with God’s Love. Those who are willing to pray until they’ve got something say! People who are willing to go and even willing to be misunderstood. These are the kind who will change the World.
