In this episode of When Killers Get Caught, Brittany Ransom revisits one of the most infamous figures in New Orleans history Delphine LaLaurie, also known as The Beast of Royal Street.Long before the fire that exposed her mansion in 1834, Madame LaLaurie was a wealthy Creole socialite living at the center of elite New Orleans society. But behind the elegance, dinner parties, and political connections, neighbors whispered about missing servants, unexplained injuries, and a house that felt increasingly disturbing to those around it.This episode breaks down the full timeline of the LaLaurie case from her rise in high society and powerful marriages, to the growing allegations of abuse inside her Royal Street mansion, and ultimately the night everything changed. We cover:Her elite Creole upbringing and powerful family connections in New OrleansThe three marriages that expanded her wealth and influenceEarly red flags reported by neighbors and enslaved workersThe 1834 Royal Street fire and what was discovered inside the atticThe violent public response and her escape from New OrleansWhat is fact, what is legend, and how her story became mythologized over timeWe also examine how the LaLaurie case reflects broader systems of power, slavery, and legal protection in 19th-century Louisiana and why her story continues to be retold nearly 200 years later. Some say she was a monster. Others say she was a product of her time. But the truth, as always, is more complicated and far more unsettling than fiction.Because in cases like this… the truth always leaves a trail.Follow and join the conversation:
Explores the 24,000-year precessional cycle and the cultural shifts that accompany the different agesShows how the energies of the cosmos are guiding us into new paradigms of thought, new ways of being, and higher levels of consciousnessDiscusses the interface between the precessional cycle and the Hindu Yuga cycle and the meaning of the profound shift that we in at this timeWe are approaching the end of a 24,000-year precessional cycle and, according to ancient traditions, on the cusp of a new age. While this time of transition can lead to an evolutionary leap for humanity, it can also bring inevitable challenges for those who resist.Astrologer and clinical psychologist Heather Ensworth shows that we live in a sentient universe where the energies of the cosmos are guiding us through this transition and into new paradigms of thought, new ways of being, and higher levels of consciousness. By embracing these changes we can navigate the turmoil of transformation into a new age of love, harmony, and a greater awareness of our interconnectedness.Ensworth suggests that the precessional motion that causes the astrological ages is not due to a wobble in the Earth's axis but to the possibility that our sun is part of a binary star system, which astronomers have found are more common in the Milky Way galaxy than previously believed. The author also teaches us how to realign with the galactic center—our source—by becoming centered within and harmonizing with the changing cosmos to bring us a deeper sense of meaning and stability. The transition into a new age does not need to be a dramatic change that simply happens to us. This book shows how we can remember our origins, find our center, and navigate this changing age with clarity and intention.Heather M. Ensworth, PhD, is an astrologer and clinical psychologist with a background in cultural anthropology. She is committed to exploring and teaching ancient wisdom and healing practices for our evolution and for healing the Earth. Her YouTube channel features astrological teachings about our current time of transition and transformation. If you're going through a difficult time right now, this episode is for you.In this honest and grounding solo episode, Kat shares a powerful realisation from her own recent challenges: when life feels overwhelming, it's about coming back to the basics. We often search for big solutions to complex problems. But the truth? The foundations of being human - sleep, movement, fuel, and mindset - are what help us navigate the hardest moments. This episode is your reminder that you don't need to fix everything today. You just need to take control of what you can control. When life feels out of control, focus on what you can control: your habits, energy, and timeWe often turn to short-term coping mechanisms (like alcohol), but they can make things harder long-termThe “101 of being human” is what keeps you grounded during tough timesYou don't need to solve the whole problem - just stabilise yourself firstSmall, consistent habits create structure, clarity, and resilienceABOUT THE HOSTKat started her career as a teacher, before moving into Tech where she worked in different executive roles within teaching and consulting working across the globe, both in the public and private sector. Despite appearing 'successful' on the outside, she paid a heavy ‘life' price. In 2016, her whole world collapsed. The reason? The compound effect of years of unhealthy and toxic habits that destroyed her health, relationship, and career. She rebuilt herself by changing just one small habit and built a series of positive habits which has transformed her professional and personal performance, resulting in becoming the healthiest and happiest version of herself. She is a positive habits international keynote speaker and teacher, giving talks and delivering high impact programmes to organisations across the globe.https://www.linkedin.com/in/katthorne https://www.instagram.com/the_morning_gamechanger
In this episode, I sit down with stress expert Lolita Guarin — stress management expert, coach, speaker, six-time Amazon #1 bestselling author, and creator of the CALM Process, as well as Story to IMPACT Mentor. She helps people move from stress, burnout, and survival mode into greater clarity, self-trust, and meaningful impact through practical tools, honest insight, and lived experience.Together, we dive into a conversation that challenges everything we've been taught about stress management. What if stress is not something to fix — but something to understand?Let's explore how stress is shaped by conditioning, childhood environments, and the meaning we assign to everyday situations.1. Why traditional stress tools fall shortI reflect on how often people are told to:breathemeditatetake a breakjournalAnd while these tools can help regulate the moment, they often don't address the deeper pattern underneath — why stress keeps repeating in the first place.2. Burnout doesn't come from weakness — it comes from patternsLolita shares her personal journey from Lithuania to the U.S., where ambition and overworking became the norm.Like many driven individuals, she pushed through:exhaustionlong work hoursemotional suppressionUntil her body eventually forced her to stop. That moment became a turning point in understanding stress as a biological and emotional signal, not a flaw.3. Your stress response is learnedWe explore how stress is not random — it is shaped early in life. The nervous system learns:what danger feels likewhat safety feels likehow to react under pressureThese early experiences create a “default stress lens” that we carry into adulthood.4. Stress is not cause and effect — it's protectionI share a different perspective from traditional psychology models.Instead of saying:“This happened to you, therefore you are this way,”We explore the idea that:“You adapted in the best way you could to protect yourself.”Even responses that feel unhelpful today often began as survival strategies.5. The nervous system doesn't know the past is overOne of the most powerful realizations in this episode is that the body can continue reacting to old experiences as if they are still happening.Stress is often:a replay of stored emotional patternsnot a reaction to the present moment itself6. Meaning changes everythingTwo people can experience the same situation and respond completely differently. The difference is not the event — it's the meaning assigned to it.Stress is often created in the interpretation, not the circumstance.7. Regulation happens in real timeWe talk about what it actually looks like to self-regulate:noticing activation in the bodystaying present instead of reacting immediatelybreathing and groundingreminding yourself: “I am safe right now”8. Healing isn't about analysis — it's about new responsesThe goal is not to endlessly revisit the past — it's to learn how to respond differently in the present.Work with Lolita Guarin:WebsiteLinkedInYouTubeInstagramESpeakersStruggling with emotional or binge eating? Your comfort zone isn't holding you back. Used right, it's the thing that makes growth possible — and this episode shows you exactly how. Most artists have been told to get out of their comfort zone and stay out. But the artists who grow most consistently do something different: they stretch, they come back, they stretch further. Over and over. That cycle — and knowing where you are inside it at any given moment — is what this episode is about. Antrese walks through what each zone feels like from the inside, shares the story of a Growth Studio member who turned his personal Tower of Terror into his comfort zone over three years, and leaves you with a simple practice you can bring into your studio this week.Rest isn't laziness. It's what makes growth possible. In this episode:You'll learn what each of the Three Zones actually feels like from the inside — not just what they're calledYou'll hear Andrew's story: three years of going out and coming back in, until the Tower of Terror became his comfort zoneWe talk about why pushing past your limit doesn't produce growth — and what to do insteadYou'll walk away with a one-week studio practice for naming your zone in real timeWe talk about why rest is not the opposite of growth — it's the reason growth is possibleSupport the showAnd hey - if this episode hit home, do me a favor, leave a review on Apple Podcast or come say hi on Instagram: @savvypainterpodcastI'd love to hear this episode resonated you. ❤️
A recent large-scale animal seizure in Los Angeles County—where more than 300 animals were removed from a single property—serves as the backdrop for this episode. But this isn't a breakdown of that case.Because the truth is… we don't have all the facts. And neither does anyone else—yet.Instead, we use this moment to talk about what really happens when a large-scale impound hits an agency. From the outside, these cases look like heroic rescues. And they are. But behind the scenes, they're also complex, messy, resource-draining operations that can push even the best-run organizations to their limits. In this episode, we dig into:What it actually takes to mobilize for a seizure involving hundreds of animalsThe immediate strain on staffing, space, and decision-makingWhy these cases are rarely as clear-cut as the headlines suggestThe ripple effect across shelters, rescues, and communitiesHow agencies balance enforcement, animal welfare, and public perception in real timeWe also talk about the uncomfortable reality: sometimes these cases involve people who believed they were helping animals—and situations that evolved beyond their capacity to manage. With shelters across the region scrambling to create space, transfer animals, and call on the public for help, this case highlights something bigger: large-scale impounds are not just enforcement actions—they are system-wide events. Whether you're in animal control, sheltering, rescue, or just care about animal welfare, this episode gives you a real-world look at what happens when “too many animals” becomes everyone's problem overnight.Because when 300 animals walk through your doors… everything changes.
You know what to post on LinkedIn... so why aren't you?In this episode, we break down the real reason consistency feels so hard, and it's not what you think. It's not a lack of discipline, motivation, or even clarity. It's the absence of a system. We dive into why knowing what to post doesn't automatically translate into actually showing up, and how most professionals are stuck relying on inspiration instead of infrastructure. You'll learn the four key components that eliminate decision fatigue and make consistent posting feel almost automatic:Content Pillars so you never wonder "what should I talk about?"Monthly Planning to eliminate last-minute scramblingFramework Libraries to give your content structure and directionBatching Systems to help you leverage momentum instead of starting from scratch every timeWe also unpack why Sunday night content stress keeps showing up, what's actually causing it, and how to shift from panic-driven posting to a calm, repeatable system. This episode isn't about trying harder or posting more. It's about building the infrastructure that makes consistency inevitable and turns LinkedIn into a reliable growth channel for your business.FREE WORKSHOP: Join our 3-Day LinkedIn Content Roadmap Workshop, March 23 through 25 at 12pm EST, where we walk you through how to implement this system step by step.Register here: The LinkedIn Content Roadmap Workshop Learn more about Expert Content Society: Expert Content Society#LinkedInStrategy #ContentSystems #LinkedInForCoaches #AuthorityBuilding #LinkedInGrowth

Send a textHave you ever told yourself,“Okay. This time I'm going to stick with it.”And then a few weeks later… life happens. The routine shifts. The habit disappears. And suddenly you're questioning your consistency, your discipline — maybe even your identity. If that sounds familiar, this episode is your reset. We're revisiting one of our most powerful conversations with Ronnie Loaiza — behavioral science expert, certified habit coach, master certified life coach, and personal trainer — because the truth about habits is more relevant than ever.Especially for high-achieving women leaders.Because here's what we see all the time: You don't struggle with ambition or commitment. You struggle with trying to build habits on top of pressure, burnout, and unrealistic expectations. And your brain? It's simply doing what it was wired to do.In This Episode, We Explore:✨ Why willpower is overrated✨ The difference between a routine and a habit✨ What to do when a habit you built suddenly disappears✨ Why 21 days is a myth (real studies show 85–185 days!)✨ How to identify the hidden “reward” behind habits that aren't serving you✨ The neuroscience behind dopamine, celebration, and momentum✨ Ronnie's simple If–Then strategy for creating flexibility without losing progress✨ Why momentum beats motivation every timeWe also go deeper into the pre-work most habit books skip:Before you build the habit, you have to uncover: What void is this habit filling? What reward am I unconsciously protecting? Does this habit actually align with who I'm becoming?Because sometimes the habit isn't the problem.Sometimes it's the identity shift happening underneath it.For the Leader Who…Feels pressure to perform at the highest level — alwaysWorries about burnout but keeps pushing anywayBelieves she “should be able to handle it all”Wants systems that support her success instead of draining herIs ready to work smarter — not harderThis conversation will meet you exactly where you are.Not with hustle, shame, or more discipline. But with neuroscience, compassion, and strategy.Reflect As You Listen:Where am I relying on motivation instead of systems? What tiny action could rebuild trust with myself today? What changed in my life that may have disrupted my routine?Am I judging myself… when I actually just need a new plan?High performance doesn't require punishment. Sustainable leadership doesn't require self-neglect.And habits that last? They're built on awareness, alignment, and celebration.
What does it actually take to build something that has never existed before? In this episode, Jim McKelvey, co-founder of Square (now Block), breaks down the real story behind building Square from scratch, not with a perfect plan, but through necessity, invention, and relentless problem-solving. Jim introduces the concept of the Innovation Stack, why innovation is rarely chosen willingly, and why copying “what worked before” fails when you're solving a problem no one else has solved. He shares the moment Square felt real, the panic of Amazon launching a competing product, and the counterintuitive strategy that helped Square survive. You'll learn:What the Innovation Stack is and why it protects companies from copycatsHow Square started from a single lost sale and grew into a global companyWhat happens emotionally when you're building something no one understands yetWhy copying best practices can fail when you're solving a brand-new problemWhy mission-driven teams outperform money-driven ones over timeWe talk about:00:00 Why timing is everything, and why being “too early” still hurts05:30 The moment Square was born, one lost sale that changed everything10:00 Why the payments industry was designed to exclude small businesses16:30 Mission vs money, and why people joined even when they could leave20:00 Amazon launches a competing product, and Square's unexpected response26:00 The Innovation Stack explained, and why it's almost impossible to copy31:00 Panic attacks, pressure, and the nervous system cost of building35:30 Copying vs innovating, and where founders get trapped47:00 Imposter syndrome, even after successFollow Alisa Cohn onInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/alisacohn/ Twitter: https://x.com/AlisaCohn Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/alisa.cohn LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alisacohn/ Website: http://www.alisacohn.com Download her 5 scripts for delicate conversations (and 1 to make your life better): AlisaCohn.com/scriptsGrab a copy of From Start-Up to Grown-Up by Alisa Cohn from AmazonConnect with Alisa! That quality time not only made her feel seen but also transformed her life. Jesus makes time for you in the same way. He is never too busy or distracted to be present with you. When you spend time with Him and then give that same gift of presence to others, you are saying, “You matter.” Discover how making time can be an act of love that changes lives.

How to Trade Stocks and Options Podcast by 10minutestocktrader.com
Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.What does Michael Burry really see in today's market? In this video, we break down his boldest portfolio moves in years, what he sold, what he bought, and what it all means for traders right now. This isn't just about following a famous name. It's about understanding the psychology, the timing, and the signals that drive conviction trades when the rest of the market is uncertain. While most investors are still stuck playing defense, Burry has gone on offense. After clearing out a dozen major positions in Q1—including giants like Alibaba, Baidu, and JD.com—he came back in Q2 with a shockingly tight portfolio. Just five names now make up nearly his entire book, and each one reveals a lot about how he's positioning for the next phase of the market. Here's what you'll learn in this video:➡️ Why Burry dumped Chinese tech, healthcare, and consumer brands in Q1➡️ The concentrated list of five stocks he loaded up on in Q2➡️ Why Lululemon, down 50% from highs, could be a contrarian play➡️ Bruker and Regeneron as health-care names with unique setups➡️ MercadoLibre's explosive growth and why it's Latin America's Amazon➡️ UnitedHealth as the classic Burry pick—cash-rich, stable, temporarily beaten down➡️ How OVTLYR's trend template and fear & greed models expose the difference between “crashing up” and “crashing down” stocks➡️ Why price action and moving averages beat so-called fair value every timeWe also dive into OVTLYR 4.0 and how new breadth models and sector heatmaps are delivering results up to 6X stronger than before. With upgrades like 10/20/50 EMA filters, sector vs. SPY strength comparisons, and real-time fear & greed scoring, traders now have a sharper edge to catch moves while avoiding traps. The big takeaway: don't confuse headlines with signals. Michael Burry, Warren Buffett, or anyone else trades on their own time frames, and blindly copying them rarely works. The key is building your own plan, sticking to your own risk rules, and treating your account like a fund manager would. That means respecting the trend, avoiding “hope” trades, and waiting for setups that align with your rules.Whether it's yoga pants at Lululemon, biotech instruments from Bruker, or e-commerce dominance from MercadoLibre, the lesson is the same: price trends and math-backed signals matter far more than hype or ratios. If you're serious about trading with clarity, OVTLYR gives you the framework to save time, cut risk, and take higher-probability trades.Trading isn't about chasing every move. It's about knowing when to sit out, when to press in, and when to let the market prove itself before you commit. Watch this breakdown to see how Burry's moves stack up against the data, and how you can use the same disciplined approach to sharpen your own edge.Gain instant access to the AI-powered tools and behavioral insights top traders use to spot big moves before the crowd. Are you looking to save time, make money, and start winning with less risk? Then head to https://www.ovtlyr.com.If you've ever wondered whether simple, systematic trading strategies can really beat the Nasdaq, this video will open your eyes. Today we dive deep into proven methods from Leslie Mason's Triple Qs Profit Machine and test them against decades of real market data. The results are staggering. We're talking about strategies that delivered more than 1,000% returns while cutting risk dramatically compared to traditional buy and hold. One system using the 200-day moving average nearly doubled buy-and-hold performance while slashing maximum drawdowns from 83% down to just 28.6%. That's the power of rules-based trading, and it's exactly the kind of disciplined approach we use at OVTLYR.Inside this breakdown, you'll learn:✅ How a simple moving average strategy crushed buy and hold across 24 years of data✅ Why leveraged ETFs like TQQQ can skyrocket gains but also magnify losses✅ How seasonal strategies, like the “best eight months” approach, produced 84.9% winning years✅ The role of risk management in surviving market downturns✅ Why systematic, math-based trading beats subjective chart drawing every timeWe also take a closer look at the six complementary technical indicators Mason highlights, including moving averages, MACD, RSI, Keltner Channels, and breadth measures like the Nasdaq 100 Bullish Percent Index. The genius is in combining them into a “weight of evidence” approach where you only act when multiple indicators agree. This increases your odds of success while keeping you out of dangerous setups. What makes this discussion different is the focus on transparency and real execution. You'll see why going to cash isn't a cop-out—it's a legitimate trade that protects your portfolio. You'll hear how traders using OVTLYR are stacking the odds in their favor by following tested signals, not gut feelings or internet hype. This isn't about gambling or prediction. It's about engineering consistent, risk-adjusted returns through discipline and smart strategy. Whether you're new to systematic trading or you've been managing your own portfolio for years, these insights will sharpen your edge and give you practical tools you can apply right away.Don't miss this opportunity to discover the strategies that have consistently outperformed Wall Street's biggest names. Breathing Room - Part 4: TimeWe’re all busy. Our schedules are packed with career, family, friends, church, and other responsibilities. Sometimes our days are so full that we don’t enjoy anything because we’re trying to do everything. Our relationships benefit when we create breathing room in our schedules. But where do we start?
Episode OverviewWell, y'all, this is it: the first episode where my husband, Jeff, and I are spilling the tea on our newest adventure—buying a retail business together. Yep, we're now the proud owners of Barefoot Archery in Charlotte, NC! In this episode of the Embodied Baddie Podcast, we're talking about the chaos, the joy, the WTF moments, and the lessons we've learned so far about mixing marriage and business ownership. If you've ever wondered what it's really like to go all-in with your partner, this one's for you. What We're Dishing On:Love + Business = A Wild RideLet's just say, blending our personal and professional lives has been an adventure. We're sharing how we try to stay sane, communicate clearly (most of the time), and still like each other at the end of the day.Turning Doubt Into “Let's Freaking Do This”We'll take you behind the scenes of how we went from, “Are we really doing this?” to “Hell yes, we're doing this!”Doing Our Homework (So You Don't Have to Learn the Hard Way)From inventory drama to digging through piles of paperwork, we're laying out the nitty-gritty of buying a business without losing your mind.Playing to Our StrengthsJeff's archery expertise + my business/retail know-how = a killer combo for transforming Barefoot Archery into a modern, community-driven hub.Building a Legacy, One Renovation at a TimeWe've got big plans for this shop—from a fresh new layout to creating an experience that keeps people coming back.Key TakeawaysMixing love and business is messy, beautiful, and absolutely worth it (as long as you communicate like grown-ups).Don't sleep on the details when buying a business—get the paperwork, inventory, and finances locked down. When you're revamping something old, focus on what your customers really need, and build from there.Actionable Steps for You:Dream Big, Start Smart: Thinking about mixing passion and business? Start by mapping out what success looks like for you.Know Your Stuff: If you're buying a business (or starting one), get real about the numbers. No surprises, babe.Communicate Like Pros: Whether it's your partner, a business collaborator, or your dog, clear communication is non-negotiable.Stay Connected:If you're local to Charlotte, come see us at Barefoot Archery (we're literally in there every day right now). Today's crossword was by Jeffrey Martinovic, a mechanical engineering student at Western University in London, Ontario (go JW! -- yes, that's the name of their mascot, no word on whether they were trying to economize on signage when they chose it). And if Jeffrey is able to do mechanical engineering half as well as he constructs crosswords, then he's probably got a great position waiting for him upon graduation, because this is one fabulous puzzle. Batching work applies with nurses too. Do multiples things when you enter the room, so you don't have to go in and out many timesBen talks about efficiency in the field being important due to the limited time and resourcesAs providers we must get comfortable with saying “I don't know”In medicine in general we don't know everything, nor can we diagnose everything. Especially true in emergency medicineChest pain is a great example. We don't get a clear answer or diagnose most of the timeWe must be careful what we tell patients is going on when there is not a clear answer. Specific diagnoses will follow patient for a long time Ben talks about some struggles new EMT and paramedics have and how the scope of a paramedic is still poorly understood, they often hear “I didn't know you could do that?”Teaching the EMT and paramedic students the context of the “why” behind treatments and not just the skills themselvesThe difference between magic and medicine is we can trouble shoot and analyze medicine, we know why it works and if it doesn't there is usually an explanationKeep your mind open and learn from others. In this conversation, Stephanie Stollar discusses the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). MTSS is a framework for school improvement that helps to provide support for students with various needs. The MTSS framework focuses on using data to identify barriers to student performance and making plans to eliminate those barriers. Stollar explains that word recognition skills are more discreet and sequential, while language comprehension skills are more unconstrained and complex. Stephanie recommends that special education resources should be blended with general education resources from the beginning, and students should receive intensive support as soon as it is needed, without having to go through a series of interventions and assessments. She also emphasizes the importance of evidence-aligned instruction and the need for team-based decision-making in the MTSS model.TakeawaysMTSS is a framework for school improvement that helps teachers provide support for students with various needsThe tiers in MTSS are prevention of reading failure, with tier one being primary prevention for all students, tier two providing extra support for students at higher risk, and tier three offering intensive and individualized support for struggling readersDifferentiate tier one instruction and provide targeted instruction based on screening and diagnostic dataAssessments in MTSS include screening assessments to identify students at risk, diagnostic assessments to determine specific instructional needs, and progress monitoring assessments to track student progress.Blend special education resources with general education resources from the beginning and provide intensive support as soon as it is needed.Focus on evidence-aligned instruction and team-based decision-making in the MTSS model.Resources Stephanie's Reading Science Academy Stephanie's MTSS Course Watch Stephanie discuss... the importance of using universal screening data to reflect the effectiveness of Tier 1 instruction and design core instruction the elements in a coordinated, comprehensive assessment systemwhy you should teach word recognition and language comprehension at the same timeWe wrote a book! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We are taking a break and using this opportunity to revisit this popular episode where Danielle shares 5 innovative ideas for things to give up in the new year. 1. Undisciplined phone useAre you constantly checking your phone throughout your day? Do you spend too much time mindlessly scrolling through social media? Consider setting limits to when, where, and how you use your phone, and your mental health will be better for it.2. Stuff you don't needWhat things are taking up space in your home and work spaces? Too much clothing, extra appliances, or piles of books? Declutter your spaces and give some of your extra “stuff” to others who can use it.3. Ignoring your healthMany of us put others first and neglect our own healthcare. Do you need to make an appointment for a check up, a screening, or a trip to the dentist? For your family's benefit, you need to take better care of yourself in these most basic ways. Make the call today!4. Negative relationshipsWho in your life brings you down, saps you of energy, or tempts you to sin? There are some relationships (like family) that we can't cut out, but if you have friendships or acquaintances that are a continual source of negativity for you, consider limiting them or cutting them out altogether.5. Saying you don't have timeWe all use this excuse from time to time, but if you find yourself saying this about important things in your life, it's time for a change. If you can't find time to pray, to work on your marriage, to exercise or do other things you think are important, then you need to make some changes. Stop saying you don't have time and find better ways to use the time you have. How about you? What will you be giving up in 2024?This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/6026189/advertisement

Instrumental SING ALONG ! "The Circle Game" Written and released by Joni Mitchell 1970Joni said "This is a song about seasons, and circles, and time, and growing old, and growing young"Producer Renee Plays her Rendition on Piano + Guitar. Here Are The Lyrics: Yesterday a child came out to wonderCaught a dragonfly inside a jarFearful when the sky was full of thunderAnd tearful at the falling of a star. Then the child moved ten times 'round the seasonsSkated over ten clear frozen streamsWords like "When you're older" must appease himAnd promises of someday make his dreams. And the seasons, they go 'round and 'roundAnd the painted ponies go up and downWe're captive on the carousel of timeWe can't return, we can only lookBehind from where we cameAnd go 'round and 'round and 'roundIn the circle game.So the years spin by and now the boy is twentyThough his dreams have lost some grandeur coming trueThere'll be new dreams, maybe better dreams and plentyBefore the last revolving year is through. And the seasons, they go 'round and 'roundAnd the painted ponies go up and downWe're captive on the carousel of timeWe can't return, we can only lookBehind from where we cameAnd go 'round and 'round and 'roundIn the circle game. And go 'round and 'round and 'roundIn the circle game.VoiceRenee@charter.net
