Well, there's not much snow on the horizon down here but it's certainly not warm for much of the country. I met German Utria in the 5th grade in 1983 or so. Our friendship was forged on music, movies, food, and more. I also based the Gerry character in my films 1985-1986 and Cool Summer on this person who made (and continues to make) an indelible impact on me. In this interview we discuss moving through school together, shared experiences, the impact of music on our lives, the importance of having a special teacher in the 6th grade, and much more! These videos are part of an ongoing video series chronicling the hardcore punk music scene. They are an addendum to the film Orange County Hardcore Scenester.
