There is so much pressure to be in a giant friend group. This pressure causes us to force friendships, drain our time and energy reserves, and put up a front on social media for the sake of being in a group. We feel insecure and less validated when we don't find big friend groups, and we tend to prioritize quantity over quality. On today's episode, I am talking about why this pressure is damaging and how to actively combat it, because it is so much better to do your own thing and naturally find your close friends than to force yourself to be a part of a larger group. And as a reminder: at the end of the day, you are valuable no matter what.

Yeet yeet...Nat is back from Nashville and is still on a high from living her best life in her Joe Dirt mullet with her gang, but is having too many friends fake? Who knows...but Tiktok sure has a lot to say on that topic. The girls get into a core memory of slicked-back hair and gold hoops from their childhood, which this generation now refers to as the "clean girl aesthetic", and they each share 3 lifestyle habits that have helped them live healthier happier lives.
In our experiences, friendship dynamics can be pretty different depending on the number of friends you have in your “group”. You and your bestie would be what we consider a duo, three's a crowd, and then we got quads and 5-stacks! Today we muse on the advantages & pitfalls of different-sized friendship units.Support the show

Late Nite Facts with Bax Podcast
Host Andrew Baxley talks about toxic friend groups and ways you can identify if you are in one. The other argument that Andrew makes is that never believe the information the ringleader of your friend group tells everyone. He emphasizes that once you hear all of the negative information, actually go out to that one person to see if that individual is truly what everyone is saying that they are. Are you never sure where you stand and do you always feel bad about yourself in your friend group? Is there always gossip and negative talk about others? Do you feel like this is not who you are? Then listen to this podcast and follow Andrew's points on ways you can identify if you are in a toxic, negative friend group. Remember, never give in and believe the ringleader. Actually go out and seek that person who gets persecuted all the time. The thing is, once you actually get to know that person, he/she is not what everybody is saying and that they aren't a narcissistic jerk after all.
