Interview first aired on Catholic Drive Time a product of the Guadalupe Radio Network aired across the GRN and Station of the Cross Radio. The Once and Future Roman Rite: Returning to the Traditional Latin Liturgy after Seventy Years of Exile. Author: Peter Kwasniewski, PhDIn his latest book, Dr. Peter Kwasniewski argues that, ever since the new liturgical books following the Second Vatican Council came into force, Roman Catholic faithful have suffered the effects of a hasty and far-reaching reform permeated with nominalism, voluntarism, Protestantism, rationalism, antiquarianism, hyperpapalism, and other modern errors. Man is not master over divine liturgy, Dr. Kwasniewski emphasizes; rather, all of us are called to be stewards of the sacred, from the lowest-ranking layman to the pope himself. Dr. Kwasnieski shows that sacred Tradition is the guiding principle for all authentic Christian liturgy, which originates from Christ and is guided by the Holy Spirit throughout the life of the Church. His principal thesis in this work is that the prominent identifying traits of the classical Roman Rite—and indeed of all traditional rites, Eastern and Western—are absent from the Novus Ordo, estranging it from their company and making it impossible to call it “the Roman Rite.” To respond to this crisis of rupture, Dr. Kwasniewski calls for a full return to the traditional rite, the Roman Rite in its robust, perennial richness, for which no special permission is or could ever be needed—as exposited by Pope Benedict XVI. Fidelity to the traditional Latin Liturgy is, at its root, fidelity to the Roman Church and to Christ Himself, Who has lovingly inspired the growth and perfection of our religious rites for two thousand years. This awe-inspiring gift of Tradition allows us to taste, even now, the banquet of the promised land of heaven.Adrian Social MediaIG: @ffonzeTwitter: @AdrianFonzeFacebook: Adrian FonsecaYouTube: Adrian Fonseca YouTube: Catholic Conversations

“What God Wants” from Power of the Cross Radio by Pastor Farrell Wilson. Released: 2020. Genre: Christian. The post What God Wants appeared first on Power of the Cross Radio | Lighthouse Church.
Episode 54 | Part 2 This is the second and final slice of the message entitled “Deadly Discipleship.” Jesus divides the crowd, the sheep and the goats, by telling them the truth: come, follow and die. He brings them to the cross. And yes, this is discipleship. From the vantage point of Luke 9:23-25, Twister once said that “the cost of discipleship is the disciple's life. Here, you attend your own funeral.” What does this mean? Why is Discipleship deemed deadly? Again, you are listening to Cross Radio. Have a cheerful and Christ-filled day ahead!

(by Jayrelle Memoria) Episode 52 | Part 3 Brother Jayrelle will wrap up his exposition on 2 Timothy 4:1-5 specifically on verse 5: As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. - 2 Timothy 4:5 (ESV) What was the ministry of Timothy that Paul passionately encouraged him to endure to the end? And why is this so important for you and me and our times to really get a grasp of this? Today is the third and final slice of our message entitled PREACH THE WORD. Do like our posts, follow us on facebook and share this to family and friends! We need this mesaage more than ever. Again, you are listening to Cross Radio. (by Jayrelle Memoria) Episode 51 | Part 2 On this episode, brother Jayrelle continues with his exposition of the passage in 2nd Timothy. This is in line with our topics on Postmodernity and the need for the church to radically go back to the Word of God as authority for faith and practice. On this second part, expounding once again on where he took off last time from 2 Timothy 4:1-5, brother Jayrelle will make sure that the call for pastors and churches in expository preaching and listening is clearly addressed. Part 2 The mark of true Christianity is not the absence of sin, but the presence of sanctification. It is the presence of God in the life of man. And the false gospels cannot manufacture this artificially - both in justification and thus, sanctification. The Postmodern Gospel, in its distortion of the true gospel, is not powerful enough for the JUSTIFICATION of unworthy sinners who repent and believe. But SALVATION is not just the one at risk, but then, in effect, so is SANCTIFICATION. The Postmodern Gospel cannot manufacture “walking in the Spirit” because it is not of the Spirit. Today, on our second and final slice of our Postmodern Gospel message, learn more about what it means to be sanctified in and through the gospel's message of true freedom and the Spirit's sanctification. ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/CrossRadioPH/
Part 1 “Bride of Christ, I plead with you to keep His message and yourself pure. Stop flirting with the world.” Now, in the postmodern age, we negotiate with our culture to the extent that we distort our message, and thus, ourselves as His bride. Yes, now, culture is authority and not Scriptures – and this is our downfall. A society rises or falls depending on how they trust and obey the God of the Bible. There is no authority anymore, and Christianity is just one of the religions that may or may not be true but can be helpful to make our lives worth living. We call such times postmodern. And the postmodern world calls upon its citizens to be like everybody else: a false sense of equality, a compulsion towards entitlements, a gratifying and glorifying of the flesh. Be scared believers. If you are not standing on the truth of His Word, if you do not obey, be very afraid. Such a time as this, we go back to the Word and scan with our heads and hearts through the letters of the apostle Paul, specifically in his first Epistle. Galatians is needed more than ever. ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/CrossRadioPH/ #CrossRadioPh #PostmodernGospel1 [CrossRadio S01E45] Solus Christos.
Cross Radio Episode 44 | TDN Chapter 7: Jesus Our Christianity rises or falls on how our lives - our entire beings - are being shaped by this Name: Jesus. Will heaven be heaven without Him? This is why we get these important points: our utmost goal is Jesus; we worship Jesus; we obey Jesus; we trust that what Jesus did and accomplished is enough to rescue us. We fix our eyes on Jesus. We follow and make followers of Jesus Christ. It's all about Jesus. And “in Him”, I have everything. This is all that matters. Christianity is Christ. ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TwisterJoverPh/ ___________________ This is the seventh chapter of our Discipleship Series entitled “The Discipleship Notebook” #CrossRadioPh #TheDisciplesNotebook7 [CrossRadio S01E44] Solus Christos.
Cross Radio Episode 43 | TDN Chapter 6: The Gospel Today This may sound like a sweeping declaration, but this is true: Every Church Leadership, Discipleship Organizations and Believers in General should not miss this episode! The Gospel is at stake and everyone should really be serious in, borrowing from Michael Horton's words, getting the gospel right and getting it out! With these set of questions, we challenge all disciples worldwide to really hold on, hold fast and hold firm to the very message that makes Christianity Christianity. Before Spurgeon died, he fought what we now know as “The Downgrade Controversy”, where he, with all might, fought a lonesome battle against the secularization of those who claim as God's bride, and so the distortion of the gospel. He writes - “No lover of the gospel can conceal from himself the fact that the days are evil. We are willing to make a large discount from our apprehensions on the score of natural timidity, the caution of age, and the weakness produced by pain; but yet our solemn conviction is that things are much worse in many churches than they seem to be, and are rapidly tending downward. Read those newspapers which represent the Broad School of Dissent, and ask yourself, How much farther could they go? What doctrine remains to be abandoned? What other truth to be the object of contempt? A new religion has been initiated, which is no more Christianity than chalk is cheese; and this religion, being destitute of moral honesty, palms itself off as the old faith with slight improvements, and on this plea usurps pulpits which were erected for gospel preaching. The Atonement is scouted, the inspiration of Scripture is derided, the Holy Spirit is degraded into an influence, the punishment of sin is turned into fiction, and the resurrection into a myth, and yet these enemies of our faith expect us to call them brethren, and maintain a confederacy with them!” (Charles Spurgeon, 1887). ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TwisterJoverPh/ ___________________ This is the sixth chapter of our Discipleship Series entitled “The Discipleship Notebook” #CrossRadioPh #TheDisciplesNotebook6 [CrossRadio S01E43] Solus Christos.
Bishop Fulton J. Sheen gives two reflections. “The Devil” and “Our Cross”.
There is a war between God and man. But, through His blood, Jesus alone is sufficient and worthy to reconcile man with God. Cross Radio Episode 41 | TDN Chapter 5: Jesus is Enough “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. - Romans 3:23-26 (ESV) Today, we will study deep-sounding words with the purpose of not trying to sound smart but to really plumb into the joyous riches of His Word, enjoying HIS grace and truth. These three words are “JUSTIFICATION”, “REDEMPTION” and “PROPITIATION”. These are essentials in order for us to understand why Jesus is enough and what difference does it make for you and me. “At the end of the day, we sing this with everything we have: Your blood has washed away my sin Jesus, thank You The Father's wrath completely satisfied Jesus, thank You Once Your enemy, now seated at Your table Jesus, thank You” (Jesus, Thank You by Bob Kauflin/Sovereign Grace Music) ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/CrossRadioPh/ ___________________ This is the fifth chapter of our Discipleship Series entitled “The Discipleship Notebook” #CrossRadioPh #TheDisciplesNotebook5 [CrossRadio S01E41] Solus Christos. _____________
Cross Radio Episode 40 | TDN Chapter 4: The Sinfulness of Man “as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one." "Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive." "The venom of asps is under their lips." "Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness." "Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known." “There is no fear of God before their eyes." Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it- the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” - Romans 3:10-23 (ESV) ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TwisterJoverPh/ ___________________ This is the second chapter of our Discipleship Series entitled “The Discipleship Notebook” #CrossRadioPh #TheDisciplesNotebook4 [CrossRadio S01E40] Solus Christos. _____________ Main BGM: “No Copyright Music” by AShamaluevMusic (https://www.ashamaluevmusic.com/inspirational-music) And AnchorFM
Cross Radio Episode 39 | TDN Chapter 3: The Holiness of God “Ignorance of the distinction between the Law and Gospel is one of the principal sources of all abuses which corrupt and still corrupt Christianity.” - Theodore Beza There is a difference between Law and Gospel. And there's no other antidote to knowing the distinction than to go back to the holiness of God. When Holiness demands our very lives through the LAW, Holiness itself provided it for us - in Christ. Law is do, do, do. Gospel is “done” - Christ Himself accomplished everything for the salvation of His own. We need to understand the difference. A look on God's Holiness provides for us answers seeing that we can never Do something to merit His favor because His standards is HOLY HOLY HOLY. We need someone Holy, someone who can represent both God and humanity to save us. On the third chapter of our DISCIPLE'S NOTEBOOK, we go into the Gospel Primer focusing on God's holiness. We live in an era when the world has less or no regard to the Holiness of God and abuse or misuse the “Love of God”. That is why we find ourselves distorting the gospel message. That we have fallen short of God's glorious and holy decrees. It is this very God, with His glorious and holy character who provides a way for us: what He demanded, He Himself provided. Thus, the gospel. ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TwisterJoverPh/ ___________________ This is the second chapter of our Discipleship Series entitled “The Discipleship Notebook” #CrossRadioPh #TheDisciplesNotebook3 [CrossRadio S01E39] Solus Christos. _____________

Part 1 “With all that's happening around the world, we see a very crucial fog that is causing panic in some of the churches globally: will the church services still continue? What if the government will permanently lock us down? What if the church buildings will not be opened? What if no one gives tithes and offerings anymore? What if we can't fellowship and sing together physically anymore? Are we gonna be under China now? What will the pastors and ministers eat? I have no idea. All I know is that I need to go back to the Bible and see what God has to say. We ask real and honest questions and we go back to the Word of GOD – always – and search for answers from heaven's publications. “In coming to Christ we do not bring our old life up onto a higher plane; we leave it at the cross. The corn of wheat must fall into the ground and die. We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. God offers life, but not an improved old life. The life He offers is life out of death. It stands always on the far side of the cross. Whoever would possess it must pass under the rod. He must repudiate himself and concur in God's just sentence against him.” - A.W Tozer “If anyone would come after me,” Jesus boldly preached. “Let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23) Following Jesus means taking up my cross daily; and the secret to taking up my cross is counting my “self” as nothing. In the context of the cross, my greatest enemy is my self. #CrossRadioPH #NoLongerI ___________________ Click, Like and Follow Updates on Cross Radio's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TwisterJoverPh/

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope and pray that you take a little time for your self during this busy holiday, so as to relax a bit during all the hustle and bustle of the festivities. This is the episode I promised. I have hand picked this arrangement for you this day so as to help you feel up lifted in spirit and focused on the reason for the season. Although this holiday may seem just like the others in some cases, it is not. Not by a long shot. We as Christians must always be ready for His coming, ever so watchful and what better way than to reflect on the life changing events that have taken place in all of our lives this past year. Remembering that He is the one that gave us not just another year, but rather giving us another day and another breath, another heart beat, so we can worship him in our own personal way this Holy day. Yes we know it's not just about the presents or even the memories of days gone by. It is however a day that should be full of love and praise and grace to one another in doing so we honor Him. And that is the reason for a celebration. So sit back if you can, and enjoy the Sounds of Christmas.
