Hoy voy a contaros el proceso que he seguido para elegir la nueva cámara que pasará a sustituir mi Nikon D750. Los principales motivos por los que he renovado la cámara han sido que la tecnología ha avanzado, tampoco una barbaridad, pero algo sí ha mejorado. Sobre todo, me hizo dos cosas raras la Nikon D750, se quedó colgada procesando unas fotos y en un disparo en ráfaga se quedaba atrancada. Con lo que son señales de alerta. Esa cámara ya está más que exprimida. De hecho no la venderé al igual que la D800, me la quedaré en parte por nostalgia y en parte porque no se la quiero vender a nadie que busque una buena cámara, porque en el estado en el que están, de buena cámara casi sólo tienen el nombre. Por cierto, lo que sí venderé seguramente es el objetivo nikon 24-70 F/2.8, que está en buen estado y con el cambio no creo que lo vaya a usar mucho más. Porque he cambiado la cámara por... Una Nikon Z6 II con un 24-70 F/4 ¿Qué tal es la Nikon Z6 II Llevo algo más de dos semanas con esta cámara y me parece una maravilla. Todavía me estoy acostumbrando a algunas cosas, al contrario de lo que suele pasar cuando empiezas a hacer fotos, a mi me faltan botones, pero es que la D750 tenía un botón directo a casi cada ajuste jejeje He pensado en hacer dos o tres vídeos en Youtube dando mi opinión sobre la cámara y comentando los ajustes que le he hago nada más sacarla de la caja. Rápidamente, motivos principales por los que cambiar de cámara: Se nos queda corta la que tenemos y vamos a buscar algo mejorSe nos queda antigua la que tenemos y vamos a buscar algo mejorSe nos estropea la cámara que tenemos y necesitamos renovarlaTenemos una cámara que cumple nuestras expectativas pero pensamos que podemos acceder a algo mejorNos apetece darnos el gusto de cambiar de cámara. ¿Cuánto queremos gastarnos? Puede ser el primer critero o cualquier otro. Poner un límite más amplio o más estrecho (1000 euros, 1500 euros, o decir, bueno, unos 1000, pero si compensa estoy dispuesto a gastarme 2000) Por ejemplo, estaba barajando las opciones desde los 1200, hasta los 4000 que cuesta más o menos la Nikon Z7II con adaptador y un objetivo. El criterio económico en el que iba a basarme era el de "lo suficientemente bueno", no por "lo mejor del mercado". Si tenía que gastarme algo más por unas prestaciones que me permitiesen hacer realmente mejor mi trabajo, o me lo hiciesen más cómodo y que aprovechara mejor el tiempo, estaba dispuesto a gastarme más. Era una inversión también pensando en el futuro De hecho lo compré con el 24-70 f/4 por dos motivos. funciona geniales super ligero - para horas de vídeo ya está bien.así me evito la tentación de un 24-70 f2.8 (realmente no lo necesito) - 2500 en lugar de 600 que me ha costado en el pack. ¿Qué uso queremos darle? Es casi lo más importante que debéis preguntaros en el momento de hacer la valoración sobre qué cámara queréis o mejor dicho, necesitáis.

La semana pasada estuvimos grabando una clase del curso básico de fotografía gratis en la tienda de FotoRuanoPro en Mallorca, con la excusa de que era Nikon y que a ver cómo funcionaba, grabamos la clase con la D780. Y siguiendo con el rollo, al final me la llevé para probarla. Después de estar utilizándola unos días para mis usos habituales, estas son mis conclusiones. https://youtu.be/SUUFN4C0hto Conclusiones personales para mi uso y mi situación Que quede claro, no se trata de un análisis a fondo de cómo funciona la cámara ni de todas las prestaciones que ofrece. De hecho una de las cosas de las que mejor hablan de esta cámara es del ruido tan bajo en altas sensibilidades. Pues yo no pasé de 400-500 ISO en ninguna de las fotos que hice. No suelo hacerlo en mis fotos normales, así que cómo funcione el ruido con ISOs altos no es que me importe demasiado. Si lo que buscáis es un análisis exhaustivo de la cámara, probablemente este de Photolari cubrirá mejor vuestras expectativas. ¿Por qué quise probar la cámara? Ya os conté hace algo más de medio año que estuve probando la Sony Alpha 7 RIII por si las moscas... Mis dos cámaras están algo agotadas y en cualquier momento tendré que cambiarlas o me apetecerá mejorar lo que tengo. Aunque también os he dicho muchas veces que estoy encantado con lo que tengo y que no me corre prisa, sí que me gusta ir probando cámaras para estar al tanto de hacia dónde se dirige el mercado y qué bondades ofrecen los nuevos modelos. ¿Entre la Sony y la Nikon con cual me quedaría? Por cariño, amor, respeto y porque soy una persona fiel, seguiría con Nikon. Me gusta y, aunque otros digan que hay algo mejor fuera, llevo muchos años con Nikon, he tenido muy pocos problemas con el material, funciona de maravilla y conozco muy bien los ajustes y funcionamiento de las cámaras, así que... me quedo con Nikon. Por pasta, también. Aunque el precio sea parecido de una cámara y la otra, me sale mucho más a cuenta seguir en Nikon. Y si no hubiese pasta de por medio ni hubiese usado nunca Nikon? Ahí la decisión sería algo más complicada, la balanza está realmente muy equilibrada. Si la Sony tuviese visor óptico, creo que me decantaría por Sony, pero como os comenté, el visor electrónico de esa cámara no me gustó demasiado, así que pienso que seguiría optando por la Nikon. En enfoque y velocidad de disparo la Sony gana por goleada, así que si eso fuese prioritario para mi, seguramente haría que se decantara la balanza hacia Sony. Primeras sensaciones con la Nikon D780 Algo que me gustó mucho era que la sensación que tuve era la de tener una Nikon D750 con algunos pequeños cambios. Esto me encanta porque no tengo que andar buscando dónde está cada botón de la cámara. Un botón directo de ajuste de ISO. Eso también me gustó, en la 750 hay que ir buscando en los botones laterales a ver cuál es el del ISO y cual es el de la lupa... Un ajuste así que puedes hacer varias veces al día, merece un botón a parte. Eché en falta un botón de acceso directo al ajuste de WB o balance de blancos, que sí tienen las cámaras de gama más alta como la D850. Sí, son de gama más alta, pero el precio es prácticamente el mismo, así que porqué no añadirle un botoncito más? Así de primeras la sensación era de tener una D750 con algunas mejoras. Poniéndola a prueba en un trabajo Pude aprovecharla en un encargo. Tampoco fue ni la mejor sesión ni la más compleja. Pero quería probarla en un día normal de trabajo porque es lo que en el fondo pagará la cámara. Se trataba de una sesión de fotografía en un agroturismo. Así que pude probar el horquillado, el funcionamiento al montar HDR y el potencial del rango dinámico que ofrece. La sensación, y es sólo una sensación ya que no he podido hacer una prueba más técnica, es que tiene algo menos de rango dinámico que la 750. Es algo que me extraña, así que lo dejo pendiente de confirmar con una prueba más a fondo.

La verdad es que últimamente voy muy cargado a hacer fotos de paisaje, ya que suelo aprovechar para grabar algo para el canal de Youtube o los cursos de fotografía online. Pero sigo saliendo algunos días "sólo" a hacer fotos. Son los días digamos que normales, los días en los que os contaré lo que llevo en mi mochila. https://youtu.be/ZyZWHuoszlI Primero de todo, ¿qué mochila? Ya hablamos de mochilas fotográficas y os di algunas recomendaciones para elgir una u otra, pero no os conté lo que uso yo. Tengo dos mochilas fotográficas una un poco más grande que la otra, pero para paisaje prácticamente siempre elijo la más pequeña. La más pequeña no es que sea pequeña de por si, pero de las dos sí que es un poco más pequeña. Hasta hace unos años, sí que llevaba mochilas muy pequeñas, como las que os recomendé por unos 50 euros y en las que cabe poquito material fotográfico. Incluso probé cinturones con fundas para objetivos y hasta bolsos normales con forros protectores, pero con el tiempo me he dado cuenta de que lo mejor, más cómodo y práctico es una mochila fotográfica normal y corriente. Para paisaje la verdad es que lo ideal es ir con el mínimo de material posible, pero eso a veces se complica salvo que tengas muy claro qué es lo que vas a fotografiar. La cámara para paisaje Sigo con mis dos cámaras desde hace años, la Nikon D800 y la Nikon D750. Sigo pensando que el año que viene tendré que renovarlas, pero estoy tan enamorado de estas dos cámaras, que van pasando los años y cómo aguantan, siguen conmigo. Para paisaje, casi siempre intento utilizar la D800, por aquello de que es una buena cámara, con mucha resolución y que me permite hacer grandes ampliaciones si algún día las necesito. Pero la verdad es que últimamente estoy utilizando más la Nikon D750, es algo más ligera, la conozco bien y... sí, lo admito, tiene pantalla abatible y eso es muy cómodo... ¿Me estaré haciendo mayor? Así que salvo que esté de viaje, me llevo sólo un cuerpo de cámara de formato completo. Estando de viaje, prefiero sacrificar algo de comodidad y a cambio ganar algo de tranquilidad llevándome dos cuerpos. Si uno fallara, se que tengo el otro en la mochila. Los objetivos para paisaje Aquí no tengo duda, dos objetivos, el Nikon 14-24mm y el Nikon 24-70mm y ya. Sólo me llevo el 70-200mm si se que no voy a tener que caminar mucho, ya que es verdad que me gusta hacer algunas fotos de paisaje con ese objetivo, pero ya incrementa mucho el peso de la mochila, así que lo evito. Si por lo que sea pienso que voy a necesitar algo más de teleobjetivo más allá de los 70mm pero tampoco lo veo muy claro, opto por el Nikon 105mm macro, que además me permite hacer fotos macro en el caso de que el día (o yo) no esté muy para paisajes. Pero vamos, la mayoría de veces, 14-24 y 24-70mm es más que suficiente. Filtros para fotografía de paisaje Creo que también os lo comenté en algún directo, pero básicamente opto por tres filtros. Polarizador de 77mm Densidad neutra de 10 pasos, un Haida Big Stopper de serie 150Degradado de densidad neutra de 3 pasos y transición suave, un NiSi de serie 150Portafiltros serie 150Adaptador al 14-24mm NikonAdaptador de portafiltros a 77mmAdaptador de 77mm a 62mm (por si llevo el macro) Aunque son bastantes chismes, son ligeros y los considero imprescindibles para darle el aspecto y salvar los problemas técnicos que suelen presentarse en paisaje. Accesorios para fotografía de paisaje Me llevo casi siempre un cable disparador para la Nikon D800, uno sencillito como el de Hama. Para la D750 la verdad es que no utilizo cable disparador, suelo disparar con temporizador o con la app del móvil. Lo de la app no me entusiasma, así que suelo optar por el temporizador puesto en 2 segundos. Además suelo llevarme una pera limpiadora y un pañuelo de estos para limpiar las lentes. En mi caso comencé a escucharos sin tener ni idea de fotografía y tras adquirir mi primera réflex, aprendo día a día con todo el material que aportáis.Agradecimientos a parte, comentaros que he estado revisando la configuración de mi cámara a través de este podcast (Nikon D3400) y he encontrado una opción para activar o desactivar «D-Lighting». He leído que es como una «especie de HDR» para no perder demasiada información en zona de luces altas o zonas demasiado oscuras, pero entiendo que podemos perder contraste con este efecto. Por lo que comentáis de desactivar todo lo posible, deduzco que sería mejor tenerlo en OFF, pero me gustaría que me aclaraseis si es aconsejable en algún tipo de fotografía concreta o es más efectivo hacerlo todo manual y conseguir recuperar esa información a través de Ligthroom en post proceso. Xavier Antes que nada deciros que hacéis un gran trabajo, llevaba tiempo desconectado de la fotografía, por hacer un favor a una amiga que necesitaba un reportaje de comunión para su sobrina volví a coger la cámara (no es intrusismo es que la chica no tenia medios para pagar un fotógrafo de verdad) el caso es que fue como reencontrarse con tu primera novia pasado los años, con las ganas renovadas busqué en ivoox para volver a educarme en fotografía. Os soy sincero no sé si hay mejores podcast por que al escuchar vuestro me he quedado aquí por que os explicáis fenomenal!. Tengo una pregunta mi vieja cámara es una Canon eos 450 d, ya noto que se me queda corta sobre todo lo noto en iso y resolución, mi presupuesto es de 800 euros para renovar mi equipo, en objetivos tengo el 50 1.8, el 70-200 4l (copito) y un tokina 11-16, estaba pensando en la 77 d pero he visto el sigma 85 art y me he enamorado un poco ????, que me aconsejáis? paso a una cámara de rango medio o invierto en lentes? Pero ahora se me apetece opinar aunque no es de fotografía pero me llama la atención el hablar de tecnología, ficción, misterio etc. Pienso que la IA (inteligencia Artificial) se puede lograr a partir de como siempre se ha tratado, a partir de evaluar situaciones y tomar la mejor decisión. Todos aprendemos de pequeños por qué se nos han dado los datos correctos, 1+1=2 esto es un árbol,esto rojo, esto es hombre, esto es... al momento de tomar decisiones lo que hacemos es evaluar la situación en respecto a los datos que tenemos y hacer cálculos para tomar una decisión! Así trabajaría la IA. Pero eso infiere gran capacidad de almacenamiento y demasiada velocidad de proceso. Eso es nuestro cerebro. Pienso que cada día estamos más cerca de la IA. Lamentablemente no contará con sentimientos por el momento por qué ello es a partir de las sensaciones, los sentidos y valores que no son parte de cálculos. Jejeje. Un saludo y un abrazo mexicano! Por cierto, revisar el número de este, creo que es el 157. Reinaldo Estupendo programa, como siempre, pero en este caso, os veo algo perdidos en Nikon, p. ej. la D800 es de 2011, la D850 acaba de salir, y antes salió la D810, la D750 salió en 2014, y respecto a las funciones hay unas cuantas funciones que habéis nombrado que lo soportan cámaras, bastante antiguas, como ya sabéis y me consta; también soportan prácticamente todos los objetivos de la anterior era analógica, perdiendo alguna función claro, se que le habéis puesto voluntad, pero he percibido algo de confusión, por cierto, también casi todas las funciones, que tiene una D800 o un D750 la encuentras en las serie D7xxx, (digamos gama de aficionado avanzado) desde la amplitud de la zona ponderada al centro, como tema de control de flashes, botones de función, etc... Pixel Binning Hey Photo World! First, I would like to start off with the fact that I am no expert on the Pixel Binning subject bur more so I am an interested learner on all things photography. My latest endeavor has been studying up and testing out the sRAW option on my Nikon D810 and D750. For more information on my findings so far with sRAW you can listen to episode 226 here! In my search on sRAW, there were many references to pixel binning and how it should be a much more effective down scaling of resolution to ¼ the size of a traditional full resolution RAW file. At face value, it sounded like a great solution to the speculated sRAW flaws. However, after investigating the difference between compressions with RAW files, sRAW images, and even the compression operations of JPEG images, there seemed to be little evidence that pixel binning offers substantial improvements. Then, I gathered much of my information by reading through multiple blogs and other writings on the subject and here is a list of the sites I read from. Although, the multitude of information on the subject it seems to be a very technical operation. After ingesting the information I have given thought to the entirety of the subject and feel there are little to no benefits to want to see pixel binning in a DSLR camera CMOS sensor. However, an improvement on the sRAW format or an allowance of an mRAW (medium RAW) equaling half resolution vs the quarter resolution of a sRAW image would be a more appropriate settlement on the RAW size options. Finally, I would be pleased to see Nikon and Canon offer a sRAW and mRAW with a bit depth choice as well. That would benefit many photographers out there. Happy Shooting! Whats In My Bag part 10 First off know your purchase. Be sure about the gear being gray market or USA and research what that means for you. The prices will be dramatically different but that doesn’t mean one is better than the other, it is something to think about. That being said I am blown away by the Nikon D750. It is by far the best camera for the price on the market today. Yes someday soon it will be replaced and beaten but this camera has so much packed into it and a reasonable price to justify it. I am a pro photographer who wanted to have a solid second body in the bag and this one is my second for if I am ever in a bind. However the D750 makes an appearance at just about every job I do because I love this thing. I have been working my way into the video world and the D750 is an outstanding camera for video. The clarity of the image is beautiful and the colors render to what is true. I can co on about this camera and share samples all day long but I would say if you are interested in this camera listen to Take & Talk Pics episode 166 (April 9, 2016) for a full review of this camera. I have had it for only two weeks now and I am not missing my old cameras at all.  Stop 1) Originally, the plates with holes that were used as apertures in early optical experiments. 2) A measure of change in exposure. One stop is a change in exposure by a factor of two. Opening up one stop means doubling the exposure. Closing down one stop means halving the exposure. — Tech Briefs If you shoot with a Nikon D750 you may have been experiencing a flare banding issue or possibly a shutter issue. Nikon has issued a service advisory stating that they've received indications from users that the when photographing a scene with a bright light source like the sun or high intensity lighting, at a certain position along the top border of the frame, flare with an unnatural shape sometimes occurs in the the images captured with D750 DSLR camera. Now this isn't the first advisoryl on this particular model. The original shutter advisory was found in cameras manufactured between October and November of 2014 but the recent issues have been found in one made from December 2014 to June 2015. To find out if you're D750 may be affected check the show notes for a link to Nikon's Service Advisory page. I read the email I got from Amazon.com regarding the D750 problem and read info from Nikon’s site with a message to wait for a forthcoming announcement at the end of January. We discuss whether or not Nikon should give everyone a new D750 rather than fix their D750 with issues while others get brand new cameras in the supply chain. We also talk about how this issue and the oil spot issues with the D600 and D800 have tarnished Nikon’s image and what that means for them in this highly competitive market with increased competition in the mirrorless market. We talk about my experience shooting the Utah state high school football championship…with the $550 Sony a6000 and how it performed. And how the Sony A7s did shooting action. In the news:Nikon announces a 300mm f/4E PF ED VR as well as a 55-200m f/4.5-5.6G ED VR II. We talk about the merits of these lenses. The Atomos contest get’s a correction being that there are only 30 days in November.  If you bought a D750 you must return if right away because of Wifi Gate, people can steal your images without you even knowing.  But don’t return it just yet, I have a simple solution for that. What type of salesman would I have been if I didn’t sell cameras years ago? My thoughts on alternative schools such as Montessori school and much much more.
