La femme est-elle l’avenir du super-héros ? L’arrivée sur les écrans de la dernière cuvée Marvel (aussi ponctuelle que la dégustation du Beaujolais nouveau), est l’occasion idéale d’essayer de répondre à cette grande question qui fait cogiter la matière - plus ou moins - grise des machos mais pas trop de Fin de séance. Avec Captain Marvel, origin story destinée à lever le voile sur la première femme émancipée du MCU, la "Maison des Idées" escompte bien rattraper la concurrence DC (Wonder Woman), et surtout, actionner l’après cycle Avengers qui se profile à l’horizon. Pas trop tôt crierons les militant(e)s désireux-se de voir une représentante de la condition féminine tenir la tête d’affiche d’une superproduction Marvel ! Mais on sait bien qu’avec Marvel, la volonté d’inscrire sa franchise dans son époque va souvent de pair avec un opportunisme financier mal dissimulé (un certain Black Panther pour ne pas le citer). Il se pourrait donc que les aventures (supposées) galactiques de Carole Danvers, amnésique à la recherche de son identité et de la maîtrise de ses super-pouvoirs dantesques, ne soit qu’un énième véhicule promotionnel pour le prochain Avengers : Endgame, bazardant assez vite ses belles promesses de space-opéra féministe pour un récit téléphoné très « Terre à Terre ». D’où un début de rébellion de la part de la critique américaine qui commence doucement à se lasser de l’uniformité et le manque d’âme du MCU. Quant au public, lui semble toujours autant unanime et conquis d’avance par la formule « magique » du divertissement selon Marvel. Alors pour faire la part des choses, l’un des membres historiques de Fin de séance s’efface temporairement pour donner la parole à une invitée venue partager son ressenti sur un pied d’égalité, forcément. Dies haben wir zum Anlass für einen spontanen Podcast genommen, in dem wir brandaktuell einen Großteil der neuen Teaser und Trailer unter die Lupe zu nehmen und dabei unsere Meinungen, Hoffnungen und Ängste zu teilen. In his first interview after DC Comics broke the news in their Re-Birth presentation Greg Rucka joins us to talk about the decision to return to DC to write Wonder Woman with alternating artists Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott. The first arc is called Lies and will alternate with a Year One WW story featuring Nicola's art. It's been 7 years since Rucka abruptly left DC after just getting started co-creating the new Batwoman with artist JH Williams. Why comeback now, and how does it effect his current output oif craetor owned books and webcomics, like Lazarus, Stumptown Lady Sabre and mosty directly Black Magick which features the co-creator Nicola Scott who's joins Greg on this Wonder Woman Project. Greg give us all the answers in this exclusive conversation.
