Alejandra Avalos Carranza, founder and CEO of ACMG Digital, took the opposite approach. She built a global network through strategic podcasting, landing high-profile guests like the CEO of Dreamworks and 20th Century Fox as a relatively new podcaster. In this episode of Podcasting Secrets with host Nathan Gwilliam, Alejandra reveals how to pitch big-name guests on LinkedIn by offering marketing value they actually want, why podcasters should charge flat collaboration fees instead of giving away free audience access, and how to handle rejection after being turned down 20 to 30 times. After retiring through real estate and Airbnb investments, Alejandra discovered that podcasting opens doors to international business opportunities impossible through traditional marketing, connecting her with entrepreneurs across Europe, Mexico, and Latin America. McCoy discusses his journey from church planting to leading a thriving congregation that emphasizes intentional discipleship. Central to this approach is the concept of the '360 Church,' represented by three circles: large weekend worship gatherings, mid-sized small groups, and intimate one-on-one or micro-group discipleship settings. This method aims to replicate Jesus' relational disciple-making style, fostering deeper connections and spiritual growth among church members. McCoy outlines the various levels of discipleship at 360 Church, such as congregational worship, deeper discussions in small groups, and highly personalized one-on-one discipleship relationships. He also introduces a discipleship tool called 'Small Circle,' which is available for free on mobile apps and features a range of resources structured to ease everyday people into disciple-making roles. The tool includes detailed lesson plans, scripture, memory verses, and methods for fostering a strong relational depth. The discussion further goes into the importance of practical tools in empowering individuals like 'truck driver Ted' to become effective disciple-makers. Steve McCoy emphasizes the necessity of providing everyday church members with the confidence and resources to engage in discipleship, thereby creating a movement within the church community. Today's video promotes the logical use of discipleship tools that go beyond mere information transfer to achieve life transformation and relational depth. This video is a must-watch for church leaders, pastors, and anyone interested in practical disciple-making strategies. Justin Meigs, CEO of Waterloo Gin, provided an exclusive look into the brand's ambitious national expansion, innovative product strategy, and commitment to its Texas roots, all powered by the backing of spirits icon John Paul DeJoria (Patrón Tequila founder). Waterloo Gin is positioned for massive national growth, targeting entry into 20 states by year-end. Meigs revealed that the strategic expansion is heavily influenced by the Patrón Tequila playbook. The primary lesson from Patrón is scaling distribution without compromising the handcrafted quality and premium positioning of the spirit. The focus remains on maintaining the unique, local essence of the brand even as it expands. Waterloo has successfully carved out a niche with its "New American Style" Gin, specifically the flagship Waterloo No. 9. The unique identity comes from bold, regionally-inspired Texas botanicals, including pecan and lavender. Meigs emphasizes balancing the recognizable juniper profile (essential for gin classification) with these non-traditional flavors, making it highly approachable and modern—a key strategy for overcoming gin's traditional perceptions in the American market. The Waterloo Barrel-Aged Gin is a crucial strategic tool. Aged for two years in a manner similar to bourbon, it bridges the gap between categories. It is explicitly designed to convert skeptical whiskey enthusiasts into gin drinkers by offering familiar barrel notes and a rich, smooth profile. Meigs recommends using the barrel-aged expression as a direct substitution for bourbon in classic cocktails, such as a Gingerbread Old Fashioned or a barrel-aged Negroni, due to its deep complexity. Waterloo's new Prickly Pear & Rose Gin taps directly into the trend for visual appeal and novelty among consumers. Its vibrant, naturally rosy-pink color and floral profile are critical for attracting younger, trend-focused consumers seeking aesthetic cocktails and flavor innovation. This expression is key to the long-term strategy of flavoring beyond the core products while maintaining natural ingredients. Despite nationwide distribution and a current brand refresh, Texas Authenticity remains core to Waterloo Gin's DNA. The brand ensures its vital sense of place through the use of limestone-filtered spring water and locally inspired botanicals sourced from the Texas Hill Country. Packaging and marketing efforts will continue to lean into the rugged, handcrafted, and welcoming spirit of Texas. Waterloo leverages the short holiday buying window with focused direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategies. The brand promotes unique seasonal cocktail suggestions—like the Cranberry Gin Fizz—to drive immediate gifting and entertaining sales and create deeper consumer engagement through recipe inspiration. To overcome consumer reservations about gin being "too juniper-forward," the sales team uses two effective talking points: Positioning Waterloo as a highly versatile spirit ideal for a wide range of modern and classic cocktails. Highlighting the smooth, approachable, and non-traditional flavor profile driven by the Texas botanicals. Web: https://www.waterloogin.com About Waterloo Gin: Discover Waterloo Gin, a spirit born from the desire to create a gin that is both sophisticated and deeply rooted in its Texas place. Unlike traditional London Dry gins with their sharp, juniper-heavy profile, Waterloo set out to craft a superior New American Style Gin. Defining Our Profile Waterloo Gin offers a unique flavor experience that challenges conventional gin perceptions: Profile: Balanced and floral, yet distinctly structured. Taste: Bold yet exceptionally smooth. Distinction: Achieved through careful distillation and an uncompromising focus on quality. This commitment results in a gin that reflects the effortless beauty of its surroundings, making it a highly approachable and modern spirit. Clara Barton, the founder of the Red Cross, was in Havana in 1898, investigating the terrible conditions endured by Cubans whom the Spanish government had forced into concentration camps, where an estimated 425,000 people died of disease and starvation. While she was there, the American warship USS Maine exploded in Havana's harbor, which served as the pretext for an American invasion, leading to the Spanish-American War. The United States swiftly invaded and won the Spanish-American War in Cuba in 1898 due to its superior naval power, the decisive charge led by Theodore Roosevelt's "Rough Riders" at San Juan Hill, and the crucial assistance from Cuban insurgents against the already exhausted Spanish forces. In the wake of the Spanish-American war, the United States freed Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines from Spanish control and, in turn, became an empire. This created beliefs that America was a stern yet benevolent country tasked by Destiny to enforce peace and bring prosperity to the world. That comforting thought was soon disproven, especially in the Philippines, whose people discovered they had merely swapped one colonial power for another. They then endured a vicious war that saw an estimated 600,000 Filipino deaths. Whereas the Cuban campaign brought glory to Theodore Roosevelt at San Juan Hill, “the Philippine War would be America’s most quickly forgotten war, the one least celebrated in song or legend, the one least memorialized.” And for good reason, Jackson recounts: American soldiers committed countless atrocities while being felled right and left by disease and starvation themselves; many soldiers committed suicide, and others deserted to join Filipino rebels. Today’s guest is Joe Jackson, author of “Splendid Liberators: Heroism, Betrayal, Resistance, and the Birth of the American Empire.” We look at this decisive war that turned American into a global power, and how poor planning turned into a disaster in the Philippines, creating our first quagmire of a war, long before Iraq or Vietnam.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

At the Crexendo UGM, Jeff Korn, CEO of Crexendo, spoke with Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, about the company's record growth, customer-first philosophy, and expanding global capabilities. The conversation took place at the historic Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach — a fitting venue for a company celebrating both legacy and innovation. The event marked a major milestone as Crexendo approached (and soon after surpassed) seven million users, underscoring its status as one of the fastest-growing platform providers in the communications industry. “We're the fastest-growing platform provider in the country,” Korn said. “Our growth is driven by the best people, products, and service in the industry — bar none.” Korn attributes much of the company's success to its “sessions, not seats” pricing model, which allows partners to pay only for what is actually used — a flexibility especially valuable in large environments such as hospitality. “Our model provides real value,” he explained. “If your phones aren't in use, you're not paying for idle capacity. It's simple, fair, and efficient.” Beyond its pricing innovation, Crexendo continues to invest heavily in open APIs and its EVP program, a new company store where licensees and developers can access or offer third-party applications to customize and extend the NetSapiens platform. “We're giving our partners limitless possibilities to differentiate,” Korn said. “It's an ecosystem that keeps growing every year — just look at the number of vendors and integrations showcased here at the UGM.” Korn also highlighted the company's global expansion powered by its partnership with Oracle Cloud. “We can now turn up an instance in one or two days and meet data sovereignty requirements anywhere in the world,” he said. “That capability has already enabled us to serve customers in regions like Africa — and we're just getting started.” At the heart of Crexendo's success, Korn emphasized, is a commitment to service and community. “We are a company of service,” he said. “We listen, we act, and we care about every one of our licensees. Our success is built on their success.” To learn more about Crexendo's UCaaS and NetSapiens platform solutions, visit www.crexendo.com.

As a major event sponsor, NUSO created a branded lounge area at the conference to facilitate deeper engagement and longer conversations with partners. But Siemens' main stage presentation captured the spotlight — highlighting NUSO's AI philosophy and architecture, which centers on creating a digital twin of its network environment to reduce AI hallucinations and improve contextual accuracy. “Our focus isn't on AI as a product, but as an enabler — a force that increases velocity and outcomes,” Siemens explained. “By maintaining a live digital twin of our network within the AI environment, we can reduce misinformation, enhance software development, and deliver more meaningful customer experiences.” Siemens also spoke about the importance of continuous updates to avoid the pitfalls of static AI environments — what he referred to as “hyperreality” — and explored how concepts like vCons act as “micro mirrors” that enrich contextual understanding in customer interactions. In major business news, Siemens announced a global technology partnership with Crexendo, through which NUSO will provide carrier and related services while expanding its use of the NetSapiens platform into new markets. The company's European expansion is also gaining momentum, with new operator authority in 14 countries, including recent launches in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. “We've taken the approach of building regulatory compliance and numbering authority first,” Siemens said. “That foundation gives our partners and customers greater reliability and agility as we expand across Europe.” To learn more about NUSO's global communications and AI innovations, visit www.nuso.cloud.

Rhea Ripley stole the spotlight on Raw, and Kevin Nash has plenty to say about it. From the kabuki spray finish to the way the match was structured, Nash explains why this was the best bout he's seen in weeks. He also lays out why Rhea needs the same kind of protection that stars like Cody Rhodes get. AJ Lee's return also comes under the spotlight. Kevin compares her comeback to other iconic reinventions in wrestling, debating whether she should have leaned on nostalgia or arrived with something entirely new. The conversation digs into character evolution, the fine line between realism and “bogus wrestling,” and how AJ fits against today's roster. Cody Rhodes gets major praise as Nash calls him the best weekly promo in wrestling. The episode unpacks his dynamic with Seth Rollins, the subtleties that make segments feel real, and how storytelling can be elevated by breaking character at just the right time. The discussion also moves global. From WWE's expansion to Australia and Saudi Arabia, to speculation about WrestleMania becoming a twice-yearly event, Nash weighs in on what the “W” in WWE really means. He and Sean explore the business side, from ticket sales to TKO stock buybacks, and how the company balances American audiences with worldwide growth. And as always, it's not just wrestling. From LA Knight's recent booking to the quirks of convention travel, you'll get candid takes, sharp analysis, and a few unexpected detours. Ward Church with Dr. Scott McKee

Rev. Terence Gray continues our “Living the Five” series with Global Reach—the conviction that God loves people of every nation and neighborhood, and that the church crosses barriers because Christ first crossed them for us. Opening with a true “find my iPhone” rescue, Pastor Terence asks: if we'll go to great lengths for a phone, how far will God go for a person? Rooted in Genesis 12's promise that “all peoples on earth will be blessed,” he casts a vision of our world as a global village and calls us to join a global God—often not by crossing an ocean, but by crossing a street, a hallway, or an aisle. You'll encounter Jesus in John 4, who “had to” go through Samaria to meet a woman at a well, modeling the high road of openness and trust over fear and suspicion, and offering not just water but “living water.” Learn why the gospel turns spectators into sent ones, how to discern when awkwardness is a cue to press through rather than pull back, and practical ways to embody justice and mercy “near and far” so that others begin making their way toward Jesus. May we be a people who cross barriers because Christ crossed the cosmos for us.

For many children, going barefoot isn't a choice—it's a daily struggle that puts their health, safety, and future at risk. But one pair of shoes can change that story.Today, we'll hear how Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls is bringing hope and dignity to vulnerable children around the world. Shawn Spurrier joins us to share how God is changing lives through something as ordinary—and extraordinary—as shoes.Shawn Spurrier is the Director of Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls at Buckner International, an underwriter of Faith & Finance. A Mission That Began in DallasBuckner Shoes for Orphan Souls started in 1999 as a local effort in Dallas, Texas, to serve children in Russian orphanages. Over 25 years later, God has expanded this work into a global ministry. Today, more than 5 million children in 86 countries have received shoes through the generosity of churches, businesses, and believers across the U.S.What began as a small act of compassion has grown into a worldwide movement of hope.More Than Shoes: Health, Safety, and EducationAround 300 million children worldwide lack access to shoes. This barrier affects nearly every aspect of life:Health—Shoes prevent footborne diseases, many of which carry social stigma and long-term consequences.Education—In many countries, shoes are required for school attendance. Without them, children are forced to stay home, trapped in cycles of poverty.Hope—Receiving shoes as a gift in Jesus' name opens hearts to the Gospel and connects families with life-changing ministries.Shoes are more than fabric and rubber—they are a bridge to dignity, opportunity, and transformation.Restoring Dignity for FamiliesFor many of us, buying new shoes for back-to-school is routine. But in parts of the world where Buckner serves, parents may spend months saving to afford just one pair—or go without entirely. Some families must rotate a single pair of shoes between siblings, deciding who can attend school on a given day.The gift of shoes restores dignity to parents, enabling them to provide for their children and giving kids the confidence to learn, grow, and thrive.Global Reach and Local ImpactBuckner's ministry extends both globally and locally:United States—Shoe distributions in Texas, including for families affected by flooding.Latin America—Serving children in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Honduras, and Peru.Africa—Programs in Ethiopia and Kenya.Beyond—Partnerships have extended Buckner's reach into 75+ additional countries.Every pair of shoes opens the door to broader ministry. Family Hope Centers offer resources, education, and Christ-centered training, bringing lasting transformation to entire communities. How You Can JoinTogether, we're striving to provide 1,000 children with shoes, socks, and the message of God's love.$15 provides one child with shoes and socks.$150 equips ten children.Visit GiveShoesToday.org to make your gift and bring hope to a child in need.Shoes may seem ordinary, but in the life of a child, they are extraordinary. Guiding Question: How can the church prepare for what's next while faithfully handing off leadership to the next generation? Summary Description: In this heartfelt and visionary message, Robert Lewis shares his final sermon as a staff member of Fellowship Bible Church. Using a marathon analogy and drawing from 2 Timothy 4, he frames the transfer of leadership as a necessary and strategic “handoff” to the next generation. Like Paul entrusting Timothy to lead the church at Ephesus, Lewis charges the younger leaders at Fellowship—particularly Tim Lundy—with the responsibility of preaching the Word and fulfilling their ministry with conviction and endurance. This message is both personal and prophetic. Lewis reflects on 25 years of ministry, celebrates the strength of the church, and lays out five key cultural and ministry trends that the next generation must address to ensure the church remains vibrant and faithful. Outline: Marathon Analogy – A race requires preparation, guidance, and the right pacing. Paul and Timothy (2 Timothy 4) – The sacred handoff of leadership and mission. The Reality of Decline – Every thriving church has a shelf life without renewal. Five Cultural and Ministry Trends: Massive church closures due to generational shifts. A move toward small, high-quality churches. A demand for doctrinal clarity and authentic leadership. The rise of homegrown, non-seminary ministers. A renewed focus on evangelizing children and teens. Personal Reflections and Departure – Robert Lewis formally announces his transition to Global Reach and commissions Fellowship's next generation. The Final Charge – Preach the Word. Fulfill your ministry. Die with no regrets. Key Takeaways Effective leadership transitions are intentional, spiritual, and urgent for the future health of the church. The church must adapt to cultural and generational changes without compromising doctrinal clarity or mission. Small churches can be powerful when combined with excellence and community. The future of the church depends on equipping everyday believers for ministry. The most strategic evangelism today is aimed at youth, given their openness and under-reached status. Finishing well means living with “no regrets” and passing the baton with confidence and hope. Scriptural References 2 Timothy 4:1–8 – Paul's solemn charge to Timothy and reflection on finishing well. Acts 20:18–32 (paraphrased) – Paul's farewell to the Ephesian elders, adapted by Lewis to say goodbye to Fellowship. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (implied) – Recognizing seasons and times for transitions.
