Happy Satiated Saturday! For the first about 20 years of my life, I experienced my body as the enemy. I did battle with it. I numbed out to it. I didn't know how to listen to it. It felt overwhelming, unexpected, and uncontrollable. I know it's going to sound incredibly cliché, but being introduced to yoga helped me to start experiencing my body as wise. I read book after book on yoga's history and the meaning of the poses. One book that I came across was Your Body Speaks Your Mind by Deb Shapiro. Going through each part of the body, Shapiro described the wisdom each body part could be holding onto. Obviously, this has now become a lifelong passion of mine to explore what our bodies are here to teach us.In this week's episode, I chat with Jessica LaMarre, Intuitive Guide, Healer, and author, about her system of guiding women toward their own self-empowerment. She does this by exploring possible imbalances in the chakra system. She will share what can be explored in each of the seven chakras, how your relationship with food could be affected, and what this soul journey can look and feel like. You can also read the transcript to this week's episode here: https://www.stephaniemara.com/blog/heal-your-emotional-eating-by-exploring-your-bodys-wisdom-and-chakra-imbalancesJust in case you needed to hear this today, change is possible. Wherever you're at on your food and body healing journey, you will not be there forever. Keep taking this journey one step at a time. With Compassion and Empathy, Stephanie Mara FoxKeep in touch with Jessica here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lovepersonalgrowthWebsite: www.lovepersonalgrowth.comLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessica-nuñez-lamarre-575769b/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ-O30Q6LUmm9jJWz5FvONgFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/lovepersonalgrowthContact: jessica@lovepersonalgrowth.comSupport the showKeep in touch with Stephanie Mara here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_stephaniemara/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/stephaniemarafoxWebsite: https://www.stephaniemara.com/https://www.somaticeating.com/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephmara/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@stephaniemarafoxContact: support@stephaniemara.comSupport the show:Become a supporter of the show here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/809987/supportCheck out my favorite water filter: https://www.pureeffectfilters.com/#a_aid=somaticeatingUse my Amazon Affiliate link when shopping on Amazon: https://amzn.to/448IyPl Special thanks to Bendsound for the intro music in this episode. www.bensound.com
E159 - Devorah Kur - Not Why Me But What Now, Finding Meaning in Our ChallengesIt all started in 1996 when my father was diagnosed with colon cancer. At the time I was running my own corporate interior design company, and loving the creativity. After his diagnosis, I became obsessed with the role of patients in their health, healing and illnesses. A new world opened up for me as I began exploring healing and what wellness meant. Was healing only up to doctors, or did we, as patients, have a role to play? Many fascinating books and teachers came into my life, who inspired me further, like Dr Bernie Siegel, who explores the role of the patient as an active participant in his own healing.Encouraging patients to take ownership of their healing, he says, “We are the soil in which the disease roots itself.” Deb Shapiro, Deepak Chopra, Caroline Myss and many more inspired me as I became more passionate about our ability to heal and to be healed.Amazon link to my book, 'Man's Search for Healing': https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJQ6WNG5Website - www.dkwellness.co.ilEmail - devorah@dkwellness.co.ilFacebook page - https://www.facebook.com/dkwellbeing/YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5YDsijkbETm1T70Lc2B2AgLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/devorah-kur-b692a725/___https://livingthenextchapter.com/A podcast is an excellent business card for your book, coaching program or business! Whether we realize it or not, we are always telling stories. On a first date or job interview, at a sales presentation or therapy appointment, with family or friends, we are constantly narrating events and interpreting emotions and actions. In this compelling book, storyteller extraordinaire Matthew Dicks presents wonderfully straightforward and engaging tips and techniques for constructing, telling, and polishing stories that will hold the attention of your audience (no matter how big or small). He shows that anyone can learn to be an appealing storyteller, that everyone has something “storyworthy” to express, and, perhaps most important, that the act of creating and telling a tale is a powerful way of understanding and enhancing your own life.Dave's Affiliate Link - Support our show by clicking the link belowUS Audible LinkCanadian Audible LinkUK Audible LinkSupport the show!...

Deb Shapiro is a walking inspiration, living her mission that every voice be heard in her heart’s offering of the DEBx talk. DEBx was founded four years ago from what Deb calls a “divine download” and what she has found is that when she listens to the flow of instructions, the speakers, their stories and voices, and the event continue to grow and change the world. Deb believes that every voice should be heard and coaches speakers thoroughly in their why, their message, and in the courage to share their lived experience. I love this conversation for it’s enlivening nature and true authenticity. Deb’s mission is taking her into realms where she’s now giving stage space to the previously-voiceless, with her upcoming event highlighting women’s resilience through sex-trafficking.
