They stand as silent sentinels of power, adorning our world with their majestic peaks. Through the ages, people have been awed by their beauty and have yearned to climb, as if called by an inner voice to conquer these heights despite the risks they may face. From the mystic Himalayas, to Mount Sinai where a voice likened to a Voice from God; was heard as The Ten Commandments were delivered to Earth. From Mount Shasta, California, Retreat of the Spiritual Hierarchy to Mount Fuji, Japan, a center for Spiritual practices for thousands of years, all have been revered by people searching for wisdom and truth. In these days, a new type of mountain has been created as part of the Cosmic Plan for Peace and Enlightenment. These New Age Power Centers consist of 19 holy mountains charged by the Gods from Space in conjunction with their human agent, Yoga Master, Dr George King during the rigorous 3-year Mission, Operation Starlight, from July 1958 to August 1961. In this podcast, Aetherius Radio Live co-host, Chrissie Blaze, will discuss with her guest, Gino Scialdone, these sacred mountains of power, with a focus on Operation Starlight. They will explain how the average person, unskilled in mountaineering, can now climb these holy mountains, sacred jewels of Earth, as many of them are very accessible. From there, pilgrims of all beliefs, can radiate tremendous power and healing to our suffering world, thanks to the intervention of the Cosmic Masters in these days.

Today we explore the epic yoga battle between the Iyengar school and the Ashtanga school, as we sit down with author, yoga practitioner, three-time Fullbright fellow to India, researcher, editor, and Professor of English and Creative Writing at Penn State University, Elizabeth Kadetsky! Elizabeth's took up the study of yoga when she was a teenager (back in 1984, but who's counting?) and she continues to practice yoga today. After twelve years studying in Iyengar studios, she finally met BKS Iyengar at a talk he was giving in New York City in 1996. You may have hear of her very popular book, First There Is a Mountain (published in 2004). This book was intended to be the original “Eat, Pray, Love.” As early yoga students, it was the first of it's kind. This book chronicles a year where Elizabeth worked directly with the great Yoga Master, BKS Iyengar, while she was researching his role in the history of Indian Independence and the complicated dance between East and West. Later her practice evolved to include many forms of Hatha Yoga and also Ashtanga yoga, which is how she first met Russell, while practising with Guy Donahaye, in New York city. Today, we're learning about her research around the authenticity of the origin stories we were told about the yoga practice and how yoga's being weaponized by the Right-Wing politics of India. We look at how the idea of anything as a “Pure Tradition” can become a toxic premise upon which racism festers. The world has always been a global place and we should celebrate the continuation of cultural exchange. Building bridges instead of walls. We're also diving into her current and ongoing research about a set of stolen goddess sculptures from India, and the great debate around whether these recently found stolen works of art should be returned back to their place of origin or not. What is the difference between a temple, a church, or a museum? Should great works of art belong to a more universal collective or to a particular group or person? Does the repatriation of art, actually right a colonial wrong? And what happens to these works of art once they are returned back to their native land? What kind of transparency and accountability is required of a government who takes back their stolen works of art to the rest of the global community? If you're ready to examine the intersection of politics, art, and yoga and what's our responsibility is as conscious leaders and yoga practitioners… This is the conversation for you! Ignacio Zuleta is a Colombian lawyer, writer, and yogi. Born into politics, raised in the capital, trained as a lawyer…Ignacio's career path appeared, until the transformative age of thirty (that strange moment in the life of a man at which epiphanies most often occur–just ask the Buddha, Joseph Smith, and Jesus) somewhat predictable: he'd ascend the ladder of his profession and society, accumulate wealth, acquire status, maybe run for office, and luxuriate in the fruits of his labor. No sooner had he reached his third decade than a spiritual awakening visited him, roused him, and forced him to alter his life's pre-charted course. In response to this visitation, he sold all his possessions and stopped practicing law. He bid adieu to his family and uprooted himself from the soil out of which he grew. He purchased a one-way ticket to India, where he studied under expert yogis, among whom he now numbers himself. From this episode, you'll learn…How to commit to radical change; where to go to discover your truest, inmost passion; what it's like to sell all your possessions, quit your job, bid farewell to your family and friends, and travel to the other side of the globe in pursuit of a dream; the importance of nature, and how to reconnect with her; the benefits of “grounding”; the power of Ayahuasca; if religion can be a drug; how to reach a “spiritual” state in our material world; Colombian politics; Gabriel Garcia Marquez; advice for the next generation; and much more! TIMESTAMP0:00 Introduction1:21 Lawyer, writer, master yogi - Ignacio's Background 5:44 From the West to the East: A shift in civilizations 8:39 Yoga, Ayahuasca, and Marijuana11:45 Is religion a drug? 17:40 Yoga in Colombia v. #091 - This week on the Meg Rock Show. I sat down with Reverend Rance Dunbar. Rev Rance is also known as the Chakra Doctor. He was born and raised on the Westbank of New Orleans. After overcoming countless hardships in his life, including child abuse, depression, disease, addiction, lack of education, numerous suicide attempts, and near-death experiences, he propelled himself into a positive spiritual state of being a full-time Entrepreneur, Natural Holistic Healer, Ordained Reverend, and a Yoga Master. In this podcast episode, we talked about the spiritual awakening that Reverend Rance Dunbar had when he was in a jail cell. He was incarcerated, on and off, for almost 12 years of his life. The last time that he was in jail, he had a spiritual awakening that would blow you away. This all led him to become the amazing healer and uplifting human that he is today. An affirmation is really anything you say or think. A lot of what we normally say and think is quite negative and doesn't create good experiences for us. We have to retrain our thinking and speaking into positive patterns if we want to change our lives. An affirmation opens the door. It's a beginning point on the path to change. In essence, you're saying to your subconscious mind: “I am taking responsibility. I am aware that there is something I can do to change.” When I talk about doing affirmations, writes Louise Hay, I mean consciously choosing words that will either help eliminate something from your life or help create something new in your life. After all, gratitude makes what we have enough and keeps us rooted in the present moment. What more can we want? Positive psychology defines gratitude in a way where scientists can measure its effects, and thus argue that gratitude is more than feeling thankful: it is a deeper appreciation for someone (or something) that produces longer lasting positivity. In addition, gratitude is the recognition of the goodness in our lives, and then how this goodness came to us externally lies. By this process, we recognize the luck of everything that makes our lives—and ourselves—better. Listen in! Laughter is the best medicine.  Seriously!  It frees our emotions.  Can shift our perspective.  Reduce overwhelm.  Increases oxygen flow.  Releases neuropeptides that decrease stress. Connects us with others.  Breaks down barriers.  And all while having heap loads of fun!     In this episode, I interview Robert Rivest, Laughter Yoga Master Trainer.  He shares his journey to peace and stillness through motion and activity.  With 40+ years of experience in the mindfulness field, he shares his wisdom, his experience, and of course, his laughter.   Takeaways from today's episode: Take time to share with someone who has contributed goodness to your life how much they mean to you (even if you think they hear it a lot from other people). You can simultaneously feel rooted and grounded yet light and free. There is stillness in movement.  Ease in effort. Laughter Yoga is the quickest delivery system of the mind-body health benefits of laughing. Laughter dissolves all the walls between us. Motion creates emotion. Sitting, standing, walking, smiling and laughter can all be meditation. We can get through heavy things with laughter.  Laughter helps to open the emotional valve, so that emotions that may be stuck can flow through. State of the Arts Episode 17! Women's History Month Special: A Loving Memorial Episode for Yoga Master, Political Activist, Ballroom Dancer, High Fashion Model, Author, Wine Connoisseur and Hollywood Actress Tao Porchon-Lynch (1918-2020). My guests this week are Tao Porchon-Lynch's protégés and spiritual family members, Renee Diamond and Joanna Rajendran. Together we remember a timeless icon who transcended all commonly acknowledged limits of life and who has left a most extraordinary legacy. Tao Porchon-Lynch, whose mother was Indian and father was French, began training in yoga as a child in Puducherry, India against her family's wishes. She was a part of the French Resistance during World War II, helping Jews escape from the Nazis. Trained by Sir Noël Peirce Coward, she was a cabaret dancer and actress who performed for the Allied troops in dangerous combat zones. She also trained over 2,000 USO entertainers to perform for the military. Eventually she signed a contract with MGM studios. "The Last Time I Saw Paris" and "Showboat" were two of the various movies she appeared in. She worked as a high-fashion model in France, where her family owned wineries. Studying under Yogis, B. K. S. Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois in India whenever she could, she brought her knowledge back to Hollywood. Many movie stars were trained in Yoga by Tao. She joined family friend, Mahandus Gandhi, in marches for justice. In 1963 she attended Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s March for Jobs and Freedom in Washington D.C. She spoke at a peace panel alongside the Dhali Lama and several Nobel Laureates. In 1962, she married New Yorker Bill Lynch who was in the insurance industry and moved to Westchester, New York. Together they established The American Wine Society and wine appreciation magazine, The Beverage Communicator. She became a full-time Yogi at this point in her life. Passionate about saving wildlife, especially elephants, she was active in wildlife conservation as well. At 87, she began training in international-style ballroom dancing, eventually winning over 700 Pro-Am first place titles. Her other accomplishments included ascending to the second round on America's Got Talent with her ballroom dance partner who was 70-years her junior, holding the record in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the world's oldest yoga instructor and writing her autobiography "Dancing Light." I was blessed to have known Tao for a brief period of time when I attended a few parties and was in a showcase with her at The Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Hartsdale. I took some of her yoga classes during this time, which was a life-changing experience. There was a Latin competitive ballroom dress she owned that she thought would look perfect on me and we just happen to be the same dress size. So, she brought her dress into the studio the next time she saw me and just gave it to me! I've worn it recently for my promotional photo shoot. Tao Porchon-Lynch has made an impact on the lives of thousands of people, myself included. She led a life that was larger than life. With great honor, I dedicate this podcast episode to the beautiful legend who is Tao Porchon-Lynch.

OLIWA NEWELL is an accomplished musician, yogi and earth dweller. He has performed in Kirtan ensembles for decades and has completed two 200 hour Yoga Teacher Trainings with the Shivakali Yoga School. Oliwa's yogic practice is inspired by his optimistic yet concerned perception of the state of our world, and the beings by which it is inhabited. It is his hope that by learning to breathe, quieting the mind, bringing flexibility and strength to the body, and sharing a sense of connectedness we, as humans, may be empowered to realize solutions to the problems we face. And, that we may live a life of deep joy, wild wonder, and gentle understanding. In addition to Oliwa's asana practice, his autodidacticism has guided him on a learning adventure through Eastern and Western philosophy, Vipassana Meditation, Non-Violent Communication, ballet/modern dance, natural sciences, psychology, civics, and art. If that's not enough, he's also an acclaimed producer, musician and DJ who has toured and worked with some of the world’s biggest, and smallest (but still amazing) musicians and bands. This is a podcast full of questions. Here are a few of the big ones: Is critical thinking not nice? Why should you practice yoga? What's the difference between kind and nice and does it even matter? Who was FM-2020? Is it okay to stick up for reason in a world that shuns it?How does one actively defend a nicer world without being called an asshole? What the heck is New Age-adjacent?Did the Heaven's Gate cult succeed?   NICE LINKS Oliwa on Instagram: @dear_future Oliwa’s Music on Bandcamp Shree Bill Murray on Being in the Now

Deep Kumar, Yoga Master and founder of Deep Yoga, is extensively trained in Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Meditation, and Pranayama. He blends the ancient traditions of yoga, such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, with an in-depth understanding of contemporary sciences like anatomy, physiology, and psychology. He has travelled and trained yoga teachers extensively all over the world, firmly believing that Yoga is both art and science, and it is in understanding your body and mind that you find transformation. In this episode, we explore the meaning of yoga and why it is needed now more than ever for the average person. We discuss how yoga can help on a physical, psychological, and intelligence level, as well as how the mind and body can manifest and store dis-ease when we repress our emotions. We then examine how yoga peels away the layers of our psyche, returning us back to our natural, blissful, state of being. With your Patreon support, we have more time to bring on the guests you love.
