From April 11 to April 13 we took the youth of Mission Hill on a retreat! The theme for the weekend was "Beyond the Surface", where we took a look at the power of testimonies. This episode comes from our third session lead by our very own Debbie Young, where she taught on the subject, "How do we share our testimonies?"So have a listen! We're glad you're here, let's get into it :)
(Part 3 of 3) Sharon and Philip welcome back their dear friend, Debbie Young, for a third episode! In the first and second episodes, she shared how she came to Jesus from witchcraft and then was led into children's ministry. Now she tells of being drawn into Heavenly encounters with the Lord and some of the amazing things she learned and experienced there.Heavenly encounters are available to you too! Pure worship is the gateway and childlikeness is the key to experiencing Jesus in realms of Glory, and He's expectantly waiting for you there.EMAIL: feedback@globaloutpouring.orgWEBSITE: https://globaloutpouring.net Arthur Burt ProphecyBooks by Debbie Young:Realms of GloryThere Is a River: Preparing for the coming Outpouring, Revival and Harvest in the Arkansas River Valley (Paperback)There Is a River: Preparing for the coming Outpouring, Revival and Harvest in the Arkansas River Valley (Kindle Edition)Books for Children:Earthsuit: Learning to love and appreciate our bodies; a wonderful gift from God.The Little Lump of ClayThe Bible Is A Book Like No Other CONNECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA
(Part 2 of 3) Debbie Young joins the Busses again to share more of her amazing story. In the first episode, Debbie shared how Jesus saved her from the darkness of the occult as a teenager, and now she tells how God led her into a powerful ministry to children. After a series of encounters with the Lord, the Father imparted to her His heart to embrace hurting children, and then equipped Debbie and her husband with the blueprint for how to do it. From puppet shows to kids camps to writing children's books, Debbie has co-labored with the Lord to prepare the hearts of His little ones for the outpouring of His Holy Spirit. As an intercessor, Debbie has also led prayer journeys in her region to “plow the fallow ground” and “dig spiritual ditches” to prepare the way for the Outpouring of the Spirit of God in the Arkansas River Valley.EMAIL: feedback@globaloutpouring.orgWEBSITE: https://globaloutpouring.net Books by Debbie Young:Realms of GloryThere Is a River: Preparing for the coming Outpouring, Revival and Harvest in the Arkansas River Valley (Paperback)There Is a River: Preparing for the coming Outpouring, Revival and Harvest in the Arkansas River Valley (Kindle Edition)Books for Children:Earthsuit: Learning to love and appreciate our bodies; a wonderful gift from God.The Little Lump of ClayThe Bible Is A Book Like No Other CONNECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA
(Part 1 of 3) Debbie Young was a good girl raised in a loving home with high morals, but she didn't know anything about Jesus. She joins Sharon and Philip to share her story of being drawn into the occult, not knowing that her little heart was really searching for God. She tells how she went from watching the Bewitched television show to playing with tarot cards and communicating with demons through a ouija board. Then, after a seance she tried to conduct on halloween was miraculously interrupted, she came to find the One she had been searching for all her life. And that's just the beginning of the story! You won't want to miss this amazing testimony of a transformed life.EMAIL: feedback@globaloutpouring.orgWEBSITE: https://globaloutpouring.net Books by Debbie Young:Realms of GloryThere Is a River: Preparing for the coming Outpouring, Revival and Harvest in the Arkansas River Valley (Paperback)There Is a River: Preparing for the coming Outpouring, Revival and Harvest in the Arkansas River Valley (Kindle Edition)Books for Children:Earthsuit: Learning to love and appreciate our bodies; a wonderful gift from God.The Little Lump of ClayThe Bible Is A Book Like No Other CONNECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

One Orthodox. One Reform. One Marriage. I had a rather lovely and candid conversation with Reform Rabbi Debbie Young-Somers and her newly ordained (at the time) Orthodox husband, Rabbi Gary Somers. Most couples disagree about the division of chores but their disagreement is halachic (Jewish Law) and I was curious as to how they make it work. The interview was recorded at their home in January 2020.

She eventually found herself pre-diabetic with high blood pressure, and, at 5' 0’, weighing 155 pounds. "I lost who I was," she says. Debbie first came across Dr. Jason Fung. In an attempt to jump back into Keto, she followed his "Fat Fast," which is 48 hours of only ingesting fat. Around this time, Debbie found the Intermittent Fasting Podcast, and after listening to all of them, realized that she was fasting wrong. She was already fat-adapted, but switched to a clean fast in July of 2019. She started with one meal a day with a 3-4 hour window. After a year of IF, Debbie has lost 30 pounds. Her A1C and blood pressure levels have both normalized. She is no longer pre-diabetic, and no longer an emotional eater: "I'm no longer obsessed with food!" The advice she'd give new IFers: "Clean fast! Low carb at first can help your hunger. As you're adjusting to IF, when you feel hungry, drink water, wait 15 minutes, and know that you're burning fat. That wave of hunger will go away. Most of us are more likely to only start talking about death and dying as we get older - as the prospect gets nearer, more familiar, maybe even more relatable. However, as we all know, death doesn't just come for us at the end of a long life. It happens to the young too. Our guests this week passionately believe that it's really important to include the voices of young people in conversations about death and dying. Lucy Watts was told that her health and mobility problems were life-limiting when she was seventeen. Ever since then, she has become an advocate for young people who need palliative and end of life care, arguing that they have specific needs that cannot be met by children's or adult's services alone. We dig into what those needs are, as well as Lucy's own beliefs around death and dying, and why she challenges other people in her life to think and talk about it in the same way that she has had to. We also hear from Debbie Young and Joanie Speers, who worked with Gentle Dusk in Islington to set up a death cafe just for young people, providing them with their own space to talk about death and dying. Theme music is by Bernadette Ryan. I met Alison Morton in person for the first time at the Triskele Literary Festival. While there, former guest Debbie Young put her forward as a potential guest for the show. At the time I didn't have an idea of a potential show topic, but looking at her website I saw how many speaking events she had done. So then I thought that would be a good topic to talk about, especially as I've done exactly zero speaking events myself.
