Why Do Young Men Dislike the Democrat Party?

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (06/03/2025): 3:05pm- On Monday, statistician and political analyst Nate Silver shared a survey which indicates 45% of self-identifying “liberals” suffer from “poor” mental health—suggesting there could be a correlation between “excellent” mental health and conservative political views. 3:30pm- In a new article posted to his Substack, statistician and political analyst Nate Silver attempts to answer the question: why do young men dislike Democrats? Silver concludes that young males are largely ambitious, entrepreneurial, and strong believers in individualism. Contrarily, the Democrat Party is viewed as risk averse and overly controlling. Additionally, the Democratic Party's fixation with politically correct speech is perceived as restrictive and hostile towards humor. 3:50pm- During Tuesday's press briefing, Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about former President Joe Biden's reliance on the auto pen for pardons. Doocy's investigation concluded that Biden's authentic signature only appears on the former president's pardon of his son Hunter Biden. 4:05pm- Anna Kelly—White House Deputy Press Secretary—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. She reacts to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) inaccurate rant against the Republican bill where he baselessly claimed it would end “American energy dominance.” Many on the left continue to meltdown over every Trump-endorsed plan/policy. But during a recent interview, even JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon advocated on behalf of the One Big Beautiful Bill—calling it essential for small business and strong economic growth. 4:30pm- Rich steals Justin's headset, Matt gets yelled at (as per usual), and Rich—with some help from the audience—relives some of his greatest injuries, including the time he was stung in the eye by a jellyfish! 4:45pm- In a series of articles published last week, The New York Times examined the Democrat Party's continued struggles appealing to the American electorate. Shane Goldmacher writes that Democrats “are still searching for the path forward”—noting that the party spent $20 million studying their “erosion” of support with “young men” specifically. In another article, Goldmacher—alongside June Kim and Christine Zhang—evaluate “how Donald Trump has remade America's political landscape.” They document that 435 counties across the country became more “Democratic” from 2012 and 2024—however, 2,678 counties became more “Republican.” Further complicating matters is the 2030 census which is expected to cause comfortably blue states to lose electoral votes as citizens move to red states. On Thursday night, an estimated 15,000 people attended the event at Arizona State University's Mullet Arena. 3:30pm- On Sunday, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) briefly walked out of an interview with ABC News's Jonathan Karl after he was asked whether he believes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) should challenge Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for his Senate seat in 2028. Sanders said the question was “nonsense.” Is AOC more interested in running for president? 3:40pm- According to reports, The Atlantic's editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg was inadvertently added to a Signal group chat with Trump Administration officials discussing planned military strikes against Houthi fighters in Yemen. Spokesman for the White House National Security Council Brian Hughes said the messages Goldberg received appear to be “authentic.” In Goldberg's report, he noted that National Security Advisor Michael Waltz was responsible for the mistake and that he may have also violated a federal records law—as Waltz set some of the messages exchanged on Signal to auto-delete after one week. 4:05pm- Bill D'Agostino—Senior Research Analyst at Media Research Center—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to break down some of the best (and worst) clips from the Sunday shows including CNN being forced to admit 63% of Americans are in favor of the Trump Administration's deportation strategy and Elie Mystal's bizarre MSNBC appearance advocating to end all voter registration laws. 4:30pm- Jimmy Failla—Host of “Fox News Saturday with Jimmy Failla” & “Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show from New York City. Despite needing to earn a reported $600 million to cover production and marketing costs, the film only grossed $43 million in its opening weekend. Part of the problem, according to reports, is Disney's unwillingness to put the film's star, Rachel Zegler, on an extended promotional tour due to her past controversial comments which have included criticisms of the original Snow White story, nasty comments about castmates, and profane remarks about President Donald Trump and his supporters. 5:30pm- Elizabeth Pipko— Spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Trump Administration's successes, Alec Baldwin continually humiliating himself, and Snow White flopping at the box office. His wife, Betsy Arakawa, was also found dead. Though a carbon monoxide leak was initially suspected to be the cause of death, investigators later clarified that there was no sign of any sort of gas leak. The Santa Fe County sheriff said he was hoping the autopsies would provide an answer to the cause of death. 3:40pm- On Thursday, President Donald Trump spoke with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. During a joint press conference from the White House, Trump emphasized the need to end the war between Ukraine and Russia immediately—noting that Europe needs to provide Ukraine with the money and arms necessary to guarantee its long-term protection. Relatedly, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit with Trump tomorrow to sign an agreement which will provide security guarantees in exchange for access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals. 3:45pm- While in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Vice President JD Vance was asked about his previous critiques of England's recent adversarial stance towards free speech. Vance stood by his statements and noted that England is currently pushing Apple to create a backdoor around encryption—which would allow government officials to gain access to private user data. Vance adroitly pointed-out that the creation of a backdoor would compromise all Apple products—leading to weakened security for American users as well. 4:05pm- Congressman Scott Perry—United States Representative for Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the budget plan that passed in the House of Representatives earlier this week. Although Democrats and far-left protesters claim the bill cuts Medicaid, Rep. Perry insists these assertions are “outright fabrications”—and notes, according to estimate, there are “over $1 trillion in improper payments” made through Medicaid. Consequently, there are plenty of opportunities to save taxpayer money by addressing waste and fraud without making any cuts to Medicaid. Hour 3: 5:00pm- Jimmy Failla—stand-up comedian & Fox News host—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to talk about today's big announcement: Failla's radio show can now be heard 7pm to 10pm on 1210 WPHT! PLUS, what's your favorite Kamala Harris fake accent? Deep South? Spanish? Will she soon unveil an Italian accent to appeal to South Philadelphia? And is Tim Walz's wife somehow an even less-charming version of Hillary Clinton? 5:25pm- According to reports, former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is actively helping Donald Trump pick potential leadership at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 5:35pm- Fed Cuts Interest Rates by Half a Percentage Point. Nick Timiraos of The Wall Street Journal writes: “The Federal Reserve voted to lower interest rates by a half percentage point, opting for a bolder start in making its first reduction since 2020. The long-anticipated pivot followed an all-out fight against inflation the central bank launched two years ago. Eleven of 12 Fed voters backed the cut, which will bring the benchmark federal-funds rate to a range between 4.75% and 5%. Quarterly projections released Wednesday showed a narrow majority of officials penciled in cuts that would lower rates by at least a quarter point each at meetings in November and December.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/economy/central-banking/fed-cuts-rates-by-half-percentage-point-03566d82 5:40pm- On Tuesday, Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation banning digitally altered political videos in California—even those that are made to parody elected officials if not clearly labeled. Newsom pledged to ban these types of videos after Elon Musk published a clearly satirical artificial intelligence-generated social media post mocking Kamala Harris's policy preferences and record. How is this crack down on free speech not violative of the First Amendment? Rich notes that the law will almost certainly be challenged in court. On Wednesday night, The Babylon Bee hilariously trolled Newsom by making an A.I. generated ad which features a fake Newsom bragging about how horrible he has been as governor. 5:45pm- In her new memoir, Hillary Clinton reveals that she has given her stomach a nickname. Why did anyone need to know that?

Jill is happy to welcome listeners back for the second part of her conversation with trauma-informed master coach Sarah Failla! (If you missed last week's episode, you can still go ahead and listen to this one now and go back and listen to part 1 later.) In the first part, Jill and Sarah had a fascinating conversation filled with twists and surprises, and they talked about topics such as faith, personal growth, and why Sarah ultimately left organized religion. Sarah and Jill also discussed internal family systems, also known as parts work, which they continue to talk about in this part. They explore parts work in depth and even explore Jill's own parts as an example of what Sarah's process looks like. Their conversation highlights how understanding these inner parts can lead to profound personal growth and healing, with Sarah and Jill engaging in a revealing exploration of Jill's own parts, including a protective "monster" and a vulnerable inner child, uncovering how these aspects have influenced her choices and self-perception. They discuss the importance of acknowledging and integrating these parts to move beyond past traumas and current challenges. Listen in to gain a deeper understanding of how parts work can offer new perspectives on personal development and emotional healing. Whether you're new to parts work or looking to deepen your practice, this discussion offers valuable insights and practical examples! Show Notes: [03:25] - What is parts work? [04:54] - Jill identifies some of her own parts. [07:18] - Hear how Sarah recognized that past experiences, like feeling controlled as a child, can influence present behavior. [09:39] - At 45, Sarah feels her age by connecting with her inner child and integrating past experiences into her present self. [11:15] - Sarah highlights the importance of understanding and healing the parts of ourselves that may be causing current issues. [14:22] - Jill reflects on the sadness of always being the one to invite others and connects it to her childhood desire to escape her unsafe and embarrassing home. [17:55] - Jill feels anger and protectiveness toward her younger self and struggles with the intense emotions that surface when she tries to connect with her past. [19:31] - Jill felt a powerful, protective part of herself emerge as an almost monstrous presence when reflecting on her anger. [21:35] - Recognizing the development of her "mama bear" instinct, Jill understands it as a protective force that formed after childhood trauma. [25:10] - In reflecting on past relationships, Jill identifies that she sought out unhealthy partners unknowingly searching for a sense of protection she felt she lacked. [28:35] - Jill's protective part emerged after a traumatic experience in college which helped her leave an abusive relationship and empowered her to recognize her worth. [30:43] - Jill acknowledges that her protective part is no longer needed in the same way and envisions it as a friendly, supportive presence. [33:25] - Jill finds this experience powerful, despite her tendency to second-guess her reactions and insights. [34:42] - Sarah emphasizes interconnectedness, helping clients recognize their parts. [37:06] - Sarah has calmed her own parts, highlighting the complexity and impulse-driven nature of parts work. [39:51] - Sarah makes note of Jill balancing hosting with inward reflection, relating to her own over-explaining tendencies. [42:50] - Everything is interconnected; parts work blends with inner child work. [44:05] - Sarah recommends Mary Magdalene Revealed and No Bad Parts as key books for self-discovery. Get ready for an amazing interview. In fact it is so good, I had to break it up into two parts. This is the first part about faith, personal growth, and the challenges of leaving organized religion.  My amazing guest today is Sarah Failla, a trauma-informed master coach with 20 years of experience in guiding people through profound transformations. She specializes in guiding people toward profound transformations, helping them heal and understand themselves for positive changes in every area of their life.  Her approach extends beyond traditional mindset work by integrating somatic practices, spirituality, and inner healing techniques, ensuring lasting and embodied transformation for her clients. She leads a rich and adventurous life, exploring new cultures with her husband and three boys across more than 50 countries. Her authenticity and ability to embrace life's messiness inspires her clients. In this episode, we explore Sarah's experiences as a missionary in different countries, the process of questioning long-held beliefs and religious teachings, and the challenges of leaving organized religion to find a new spiritual path. We talk about the impact of personal loss and tragedy on faith, and discuss the freedom found in embracing a more inclusive and personal spirituality. Throughout our conversation, we touch on themes of authenticity, personal growth, and the courage it takes to challenge deeply ingrained beliefs. Whether you're going through your own spiritual journey or simply interested in understanding different perspectives on faith and personal development, this episode offers valuable insights and thought-provoking discussions. Join us as we explore the complexities of faith, the power of self-discovery, and the liberation that comes from being true to oneself.  Show Notes: [06:16] - Sarah shares her background. She graduated high school at 17 and decided to be a missionary. She was in ministry and missions for a long time, she even met her husband in the process. [07:16] - They've now been married 21 years. [07:31] - Sarah has had five miscarriages. This marked her journey of becoming a mom. [10:21] - Her miscarriages was the first thing that made her religion start to crumble. [11:20] - How religion makes certain things spiritual and not others. Oftentimes pastors or other people are put on a pedestal. [15:21] - Loving instead of judging is more righteous and spiritual than judging because of strict religious rules. [24:45] - Sarah talks about building her whole life on one thing and then beginning to take away blocks of security as she starts to awaken to a different view of God. [25:52] - How the church uses fear to manipulate and control when it should be more based on love. [26:22] - A lot of people love God but don't feel like they fit in church even though they love community and friends. [27:38] - It's such a human thing to just want to be free and be yourself. [28:49] - The deconstruction and shifting didn't hit her husband as hard. [29:55] - Sarah shares a story about going to an outdoor church Easter event after returning home to the states. [31:07] - She was really turned off by the MLM type proselytizing.  [36:23] -  Sarah shares a story about another little church in her town that she attended about a year later. She fell in love with the group of people. A year later Sarah and her husband were the pastors. They did that for 8 years. [39:40] - She is always connected with nature and started exploring different religious philosophies. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (05/17/2024): 3:05pm- Rich opens the show on a somber note—friend, and frequent listener, Sid Weiss passed away earlier this week. 3:30pm- While appearing before the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Wednesday, Michael Cohen's former attorney Robert Costello accused Cohen of lying during the Donald Trump “hush money” trial. Costello said that Cohen once told him: “I swear to God, Bob, I don't have anything on Donald Trump…I don't have anything on Donald Trump.” You can read more here: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/justice/3004761/michael-cohen-lawyer-accuses-lying-trump-trial/ 3:40pm- Reacting to Michael Cohen's testimony in the Donald Trump “hush money” trial on Thursday, CNN legal analyst Elie Honig said Cohen had his “knees chopped out” from under him during cross-examination. 4:05pm- On Thursday, President Joe Biden asserted executive privilege—preventing the House of Representatives from acquiring audio recordings of an interview the president conducted with Department of Justice Special Counsel Robert Hur. In a letter to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), White House counsel Edward Siskel reasoned: “The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal—to chop them up, distort them and use them for partisan political purposes.” 4:15pm- The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board writes of President Joe Biden's assertion of executive privilege: “The privilege claim is bogus on two grounds. First, once a President waives a privilege right, it can't be reclaimed. Mr. Biden conceded that the interview wasn't privileged, and there's no legal basis to say that a recording is different from a transcript. Even if Mr. Biden had first claimed privilege over the interview, that wouldn't pass legal muster because the interview subject didn't concern his presidential duties or White House deliberations. It concerned his handling of documents while in the Senate, as Vice President, or as a private citizen. Mr. Siskel's claim that the goal is to protect the Justice Department's ‘law enforcement investigations' also doesn't work. Such a claim of law-enforcement privilege typically attends to a continuing investigation, but Mr. Hur's work is complete. He has filed his report and closed up shop.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/joe-biden-executive-privilege-recordings-robert-hur-interview-edward-siskel-265ab86b?mod=opinion_lead_pos2 4:40pm- A Thursday House of Representative Subcommittee hearing devolved into total chaos when Republican Marjorie Taylor Green exchanged insults with Democrats Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Jasmine Crockett. No wonder nothing ever gets done in Congress! But at least it was entertaining. 5:05pm- Dr. Wilfred Reilly—Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University and author of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the hilarious Congressional feud over “bleached hair” and “fake eyelashes.” Marjorie Taylor Green, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, and Jasmine Crockett gave us a Congressional fight we won't soon forget—no matter how hard we try. Jimmy Failla's got another gig. He's already a stand-up comedian, a weekday radio show, "FOX Across America", and a new book coming out. But if he wasn't busy already, he now has his own TV show debuting this weekend, "FOX News Saturday Night with Jimmy Failla." Earlier this week, Failla join host Chris Foster on the FOX News Rundown to talk about all of those jobs and answer some serious - and not so serious - questions about his career. Jimmy talks for a living so this was a great time and the conversation went on too long to fit into the regular weekday podcast and radio show. On today's FOX News Rundown Extra, you'll hear the whole interview and learn so much more about Jimmy Failla including what he considered his favorite comedy album, how he manages to eat between jobs, and if he's actually in fact related to an infamous mobster.
