President Donald Trump's first 100 days are nearing their end, and Democrats are still divided on how best to respond to the White House's fast-paced style of government management. The party is openly feuding over whether it should go more left, move to the center, abandon identity politics, or fight even harder for groups it thinks need to be fought for. FOX News Rundown host Chris Foster discussed this with Martha MacCallum the other day. The Anchor and Executive Editor of “The Story with Martha MacCallum” and the host of the Untold Story podcast discussed how the Democrats have picked up some questionable causes since President Trump took office and weighed in on the emergence of New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a party leader. MaCallum also discussed the start of President Trump's second term, his biggest accomplishments, and what issues will be key to the Republicans' success in the 2026 and 2028 elections. We often must cut interviews short during the week, but we thought you might like to hear the full interview. The week woke up with a bang! The stock market, which plummeted on Thursday and Friday, started the same way Monday morning. However, it suddenly soared for a bit, going to plus 800 points for the day! It didn't last and returned to negative territory. What does this mean? Nobody knows for sure what's happening in our economy and what will happen going forward! In today's show, you will hear a contentious interview between Martha MacCallum of FOX News and Delaware U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-DE). Coon consistently ignore Martha's statements demanding his opinions were the right ones about everything they discussed. Finally, Martha made her points clear. You do NOT want to miss this back-and-forth. If nothing else, it proves Democrats are in full panic mode and will continue to try to dominate the narrative. Why? Because they've lost the trust of the American people!Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with President Trump at the White House today to discuss tariffs and other important issues. The two are close friends and great business minds. The results of their meeting will certainly impact the economic thinking of economists around the world. Certainly, both leaders' thoughts on economic matters will affect our markets going forward.
The WIAA just did something incredibly cowardly regarding women’s sports. Fox’s Martha MacCallum got into a heated exchange with Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) who denied some of the waste, fraud, and abuse found by DOGE. Washington parents are concerned that colleges and universities aren’t reporting hazing incidents, which they are required to by state law. // LongForm: GUEST: State Rep. Joshua Penner (R-Orting) is trying to thwart Democrats’ efforts to close a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities. // Quick Hit: Tim Walz’s daughter is forgoing grad school because she claims universities didn’t support far-left protesters enough. A radical MSNBC guest says that all laws passed before the 1965 Voting Rights Act should be considered null and void.
Democratic Senator Chris Coons and Fox News host Martha MacCallum had a heated exchange over DOGE, Social Security and allegations of waste, fraud, and abuse. It led to a tense back-and-forth between the two. The 2024 presidential race remains neck-and-neck. The latest FOX News poll gives Vice President Kamala Harris a slight edge – but still within the margin of error - over former President Donald Trump. Martha MacCallum, anchor and executive editor of The Story with Martha MacCallum, joins the Rundown to break down the current state of the race and the unusual political news cycle that has unfolded this year. The Federal Reserve has cut interest rates by half a basis point, their first time lowering interest rates since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. Now, Americans can expect borrowing costs to go down in a few key pain points for consumers: credit card debt, mortgage rates on housing, and even auto and private student loans. U.S. businesses will see benefits too; cheaper borrowing typically encourages companies to hire more and attracts more investors in the stock market. Co-host of The Big Money Show on Fox Business, Brian Brenberg, joins to explain how and when this interest rate cut will be felt by Americans and concerns about a lagging labor market. Plus, commentary from FOX News Contributor and host of the Jason In The House podcast, Jason Chaffetz. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Though Vice President Kamala Harris has been able to rally the Democratic base after replacing President Biden as the Party's presidential nominee, she's yet to go head-to-head with her opponent, former President Donald Trump. That will change on September 10th, when the two presidential candidates take the ABC presidential debate stage and potentially shake up the race again. Former debate moderator and Anchor of 'The Story,' Martha MacCallum, discusses how the dynamic between former President Trump and Vice President Harris may play out and the importance of prioritizing policy and performance on the debate stage. As Congress returns to session this week, the battle to fund the government heats up. But tight races for the White House, Senate, and House could force Republicans to punt the issue down the road, potentially triggering a government shutdown. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram addresses how this might play out for Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Plus, Chad notes why in a razor-thin election, foreign policy could play a deciding factor. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

SERIES 2 EPISODE 176: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: DON'T BE FOOLED. TRUMP HAS SET THE TABLE SO HE CAN BAIL OUT ON THE DEBATES. "Please let this TRUTH," Trump wrote after the CNN and ABC debates were announced (and "TRUTH" is just an ironic brand name, like everything else Trump calls his crap), "serve to represent that I hereby accept debating Biden on Fox News. The date will be Wednesday, October 2nd. The hosts will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. Thank you.” The Publishers' Clearing House style childish fake legalese ("Represent...hereby...thank you") is the tell. Trump has agreed to the two debates with Biden and simultaneously given himself a way out of going to either of them. Some time between now and the Atlanta debate next month he can simply insist Biden "recommit" to the imaginary third debate, and when Biden refuses, he can back out - claiming Biden backed out first. A late statement from the Biden campaign yesterday showed I'm not the only one thinking this could be in the cards. It's Trump to a tee: What does he have to gain from a debate in which there is no audience, where microphones go off automatically when time expires, and in which Biden does not flail. ALSO: HOW DID MSNBC LET THAT SCOOP GET AWAY? An in-court witness told them, live, Tuesday night, that he saw Trump reviewing the comments of his surrogates who insulted the judge and his family in Trump's place. It was evidence that there was a Trump conspiracy to evade the gag order and it was a huge story. And Alex Wagner changed the subject. Regardless: Justice Merchan must conduct a hearing immediately. It was Trump who CALLED Mike Johnson and the other Republican prostitutes his "surrogates." Presumably there will be more of them today. They are a new and clever means of Trump violating the order by proxy and Merchan should send him to jail for it. B-Block (31:28) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: "How MSNBC's Leftward Tilt Delivers Ratings, and Complications," read the headline in The New York Times. Suddenly I was young again. This was obviously some sort of re-print from 2007. My hair was dark, I could still digest pizza. The sub headline made me happier still: "NBC's leaders have been forced to grapple with how to square its cable news network's embrace of progressive politics with the company's straight-news operation.” Ah yes, thumbing through my scrapbooks from 2006 and 2007 and – that was in the New York Times YESTERDAY? SERIOUSLY? NBC executives are still exploiting The New York Times to whine about the "partisanship" of MSNBC? Holy crap! C-Block (49:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Since we're on this subject, time to re-tell the saga from June 2009 when the "friction" The New York Times reported on yesterday as if it were new (or even just not impossibly old) was so bad that the Chairman of GE - the corporation that then owned us - had decided to take MSNBC off the air because the $200,000,000 a year we made him just wasn't enough to compensate him for having his conservative Mom call up and yell at him.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
