The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: Shortly after delivering the commencement address to the U.S. Air Force Academy on Thursday, President Joe Biden took a scary fall—thankfully, after being helped up by several secret service agents he appeared to be ok. While some questioned whether this was a symptom of his advanced age, members of the mainstream media were quick to jump in and dismiss those fears. June 1st kicked off Pride Month. An NBC Nightly News report from Stephanie Gosk bemoaned the fact that several companies have begun to be less vociferous in their support/participation in Pride Month—specifically, elements of the LGBTQ+ community that have been outspoken in their support for “gender affirming” procedures on children. For example, following backlash from parents, the Target retail chain removed children's swimsuits that promised to “bind” and “tuck”—appealing to transgender-identifying kids. JPMorgan has downgraded Target's stock after backlash stemming from their sale of trans-merchandise for children. Caroline Downey of National Review writes, “[t]he stock was demoted from overweight, which means the broker has a positive outlook on the company's prospects due to its current share price and that the stock is considered a strong buy, to neutral, which means the broker believes the investor should hold the stock as its price may not change.” You can read more here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/jpmorgan-downgrades-target-stock-amid-backlash-over-lgbt-merchandise/#:~:text=Target%27s%20stock%20was%20downgraded%20on,the%20store%27s%20LGBT%20product%20campaign During a town hall-style interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, former President Donald Trump mocked Chris Christie's presumed run for president in 2024—pointing out that the former New Jersey Governor is barely polling at 1%. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2: On Friday, the Labor Department released its May jobs report indicating that the U.S. economy added 339,000 new jobs. However, as economist Dr. EJ Antoni notes, a significant number of those new jobs were courtesy of government employment—with real hourly and weekly earnings still struggling due to inflation. According to a report from Patrick Thomas of The Wall Street Journal, beef prices in the U.S. are on the rise due to inflation which has “pushed up prices for fuel, feed and equipment”—complicated by “[s]evere drought in many key cattle-producing states, such as Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas, parched grazing pastures, requiring spending on supplemental feed such as alfalfa and hay—which are up more than 20% on average from the prior year.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/beef-prices-high-summer-barbecue-12a08905?mod=hp_lead_pos5 While appearing on MSNBC, White House Economic Advisor Bharat Ramamurti said he believes that middle class families are doing well and, consequently, the economy is doing well under President Joe Biden's leadership. However, as RNC research notes, the average American family has lost roughly $10,000 paying for increased costs from inflation since President Biden took office. According to Andrew C. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1 The Rich Zeoli Show is LIVE! from the Grand Hotel in Cape May, New Jersey for our special Memorial Day weekend broadcast. Target has removed several controversial products from its stores and websites. The retail corporation received backlash after selling children's swimsuits that promise to “bind” and “tuck”—appealing to trans-kids. Despite the quick removal following criticisms, Target has shed a reported $9 billion from its market capitalization. Now that consumers have pushed-back against Bud Light and Target for adopting far-left ideologies in their advertising campaigns, will other companies hesitate before becoming overtly political? Congressman Jeff Van Drew—Republican representing New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the drastic uptick in marine wildlife deaths along the Atlantic Coast. Many environmental experts believe this is linked to offshore wind development's usage of sonar to map the ocean's floor which prevents whales, for example, from communicating with one another and inhibits accurate navigation.

DeSantis is expected to formally announce his candidacy during a live-streamed interview on Twitter with billionaire Elon Musk. The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2: Tobias Peter—Research Fellow & Assistant Director of the American Enterprise Institute's Housing Center—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss an editorial he co-authored with Edward Pinto, “Biden Courts Another Mortgage Crisis.” Peter and Pinto write: “The Biden administration is making moves that could imperil the safety of the housing finance system. Recent mortgage pricing changes, which have generally decreased fees for borrowers with lower credit scores and increased fees for those with higher scores, have rightly garnered public outcry, but they are the tip of the iceberg. The administration's other changes require just as much attention, particularly since the reigning mantra of the White House is to strengthen ‘racial equity and support for underserved communities'—regardless of who gets hurt or how much it costs. Missed in the debate about loan-level pricing changes is that the Federal Housing Finance Agency already distorts the riskiness of loans it originates, and ultimately taxpayers are on the hook for those loans.” You can read the full editorial here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-courts-another-mortgage-crisis-federal-housing-finance-agency-mortgage-loans-risk-2008-homeownership-fe752269?mod=opinion_lead_pos7 On June 16th, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be hosting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence—a far-left, self-described LGBTQ+ affiliated group that has gained notoriety by mocking Catholics. Target has begun removing “LGBTQ+” related merchandise from its stores and websites. The hearing addressed alleged abuses of power by leadership within the FBI. In his opening statement, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) warned the FBI whistleblowers that following their testimony before Congress they would likely be improperly targeted by elements of the federal government—citing Matt Taibbi as an example of what could happen. Four days after testifying before Congress, Internal Revenue Service officers alarmingly showed up to the home of independent journalist Matt Taibbi. 6pm: BREAKING NEWS: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis formally announces his candidacy for U.S. President during a live-streamed interview on Twitter Spaces alongside billionaire Elon Musk and PayPal co-founder David Sacks.
