Gonna hit on the Great Louisiana prison break with some video that's been released. Have some Diddy news…the song Tootsie Roll comes to mind. Some idiots of the week will take center stage. What happens when two of the most influential organizations in natural health—the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and the National Health Federation (NHF)—come together? In this powerful one-off episode, fresh off the NHF Conference, Jamie Belz and Mike Belz unpack the most eye-opening moments, shocking revelations, and inspiring calls to action from a weekend spent with an incredible organization passionately fighting for our health freedoms since 1955. From Codex Alimentarius to FDA overreach, and the shocking story of NHF's founding to HEALTH FREEDOM quotes from Benjamin Rush and Thomas Jefferson, this conversation dives deep into the fight for medical sovereignty, transparency, and the right to choose your own path to wellness. In this episode: The history and mission of the NHF How the FDA and other agencies are restricting natural health practices Why bio-individuality must be protected "If I find something that works well for me in my personal health journey - and I'm not harming anyone else - who should be allowed to tell me I cannot choose that methodology?" The sobering truth behind food regulation and supplement censorship Thomas Levy's quote, "We cannot approach science by committee and convenience." What you can do right now to make a difference This episode is a megaphone for the movement—a rallying cry for anyone ready to stand up, speak out, and take their health into their own hands. We have worked so hard to get to where we are today - and the future looks bright - but WE need to back those leading the charge. The fight for health freedom is about the future of our children and the right to thrive, not just survive. The fight is NOW! This week: outside of big urban riots, how did violence figure into the daily life of the Edo period? To answer this question, we'll take a look at one particularly well-documented example: youth gangs in the area surrounding Sensoji in the shogun's capital of Edo. Show notes here.
This week, we cover the second and third of Edo's three great riots in 1787 and 1866. How did samurai and commoners talk about these acts of mass violence? How was all this a manifestation of a sense of "street justice" among the masses? And what's with the handsome young guy everyone keeps swearing was secretly behind the whole thing? Show notes here.
This week: the first of three episodes on urban rioting in Tokugawa period Japan. This week, we're covering the first two urban riots in the history of the shogun's capital city. What drove the people of Edo to riot, and how did the shogunate respond to those challenges to its authority? Show notes here.

Is every Sunday full of the "Sunday Scaries?" This week in our series, The Fight, you'll hear what God thinks about how and why we work and why He feels you and your job were created for such a time as this. ABOUT THIS SERIES: The main message of this 4-part fight of life series is that the first step in winning that battle is understanding it's a spiritual battle. In this series, you'll challenge your congregation to push past their flesh – to be honorable husbands, loving wives, and for children to obey their parents – you'll even challenge the church. Through it all, remember, in this fight of life, the battle has already been won! ABOUT THE FOUNDRY: The Foundry is an independent, non-denominational church in Burke, VA with the mission of "guiding people to forge a lifelong reliance on God". Ericka Aguilar, The Dental Billing Coach, joins Clinton Timmerman and Russell Schaffer to share the secrets of getting claims paid when they are initially denied. It turns out there's not much to it; it just takes knowing how to Google search for the state dental insurance commissioner and send a message to the right resource (and don't give up if it you're reffered to a federal agency!). Ericka also tells us her tricks to the trade for billing procesures we are most likely already doing but not including in our claims and ways she can negotiate insurance fees. You can find Ericka on Instagram or, better yet, go to HiddenDentalProfit.com and find out how she can help your office. Also, give her a listen at The Dental Billing Podcast.

Feeling the beat of nostalgia yet? Let's take a walk through musical memory lane where the Beastie Boys' raucous anthems fuel a wild college party and a talent show throwback to the Class of '84 at my high school. Picture this: the kitchen floor at a UMass bash caves in under the weight of dancing feet or The Hammer Band covers a classic song. It's a vivid reminder of the way tunes can tether us to the past while keeping our hearts thumping in the here and now.And what's a jam session without the raw energy of a live crowd? The Music In My Shoes Mailbag highlights the Top 5 Favorite Live Albums of listener, Barry from Canton. From the heart-thumping tracks of Lynyrd Skynyrd and KISS to the soulful authenticity of Bob Seger and the unforgettable "Jersey Girl" by The Boss himself, we celebrate the live music that's etched into our very beings. We finish off discussing Echo & the Bunnymen - The Killing Moon and Thompson Twins - Into the Gap. This episode is your backstage pass to the music that continue to resonate through generations.
In the third hour, Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes discussed the "fandom vibe" of the Cubs, White Sox and other teams around Major League Baseball. The guys then explained why they believe Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce doesn't know history behind hip-hop group Beastie Boys' 1986 hit "Fight For Your Right." Kelce has used a line from the song's hook as a catchphrase during Kansas City's run to three Super Bowl victories. Later, Bernstein and Holmes reacted to the tragic death of marathon world record-holder Kelvin Kiptum, who was set to be a superstar of long-distance running and was a top contender for gold at the Olympics in Paris later this summer. He was killed along with his coach in a car crash in Kenya.
