After stretches of time in various juvenile facilities, Monty was ill advisedly persuaded to attend university for his own betterment. After the diversion of attaining a degree in psychology and literature, he achieved a level of self determination and was able to turn his focus to his true passion - acting. Having worked on little bits and pieces, as drama series in Australia started to shut up shop (Blue Heelers, Water Rats, McLeod's Daughters, Murder Call), yearning for more training, Monty headed back to the UK, where he lived, studied and worked for over a decade.
