He started his culinary career as a 2001 graduate of Johnson & Wales University. If you live in or around Wisconsin and you like punk and garage rock, you're probably familiar with Mary Joy's work in Fox Face. The Dirtnap Records band has toured Europe, played SXSW and has rightfully earned a spot as one of Milwaukee music's heavy-hitters. On top of her work in that project, Joy also plays bass in Saebra & Carlyle and she just started a new band called Witch Bolt. Oh yeah, and she's also an invaluable figure in the Ladies Rock Milwaukee organization. Prior to Riverwest FemFest, which features all three of her bands, Joy came to Milwaukee Record headquarters to discuss the importance of the festival before talking about growing up as a ska kid in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. After taking in some of her first shows at Mission Coffee House, Joy formed a high school band called Nobody's Housewife before (briefly) moving to New Orleans for college and almost instantly being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She wound up in Milwaukee, playing in bands like International Datelines, Pussy Collector and The Olives — and the rest is history. I have become attached to the Foxface rabbitfish species. I find them to be a very nice saltwater fish with some striking coloration patterns and an awesome personality to go with it. Foxfaces are peacefull, but yet very aggressive algae eaters and so easy to keep. For years, the One Spot Foxface has always been a dream fish of mine and now I finally own one. If you have a large saltwater tank, a foxface will be perfect for you!!! We discuss a few more parts of the movie including the score in our music segment. News includes records the movie broke, a possible rumor about Gary Ross and Catching Fire and more. Some emails sent in brings up interesting questions such as if Fox Face commited suicide eating the Nightlock berries. The main focus is reviewing the new companion book, The World of the Hunger Games, which brings up a couple good points and quotes from Suzanne Collins herself about how she used Latin to name the country Panem and other aspects of the book. As always we end the show with some book recommendations such as The Maze Runner.

Our Dark Duel segment is a heated discussion, fighting over if Gale, Cato or Foxface would win.
