Deirdre Coyne Podcast - Health Coaching - Mindset Behaviour Change
Welcome to another episode of "Wellbeing Without Wine!" In today's episode titled "Wellbeing Weekend Without Wine," we delve into the topic of having a weekend without wine and how it can positively impact our overall well-being. Join your host, Deirdre Coyne, as she shares valuable insights, tips, and resources to help you navigate through a weekend without relying on wine. Deirdre introduces us to the "three Ds" technique – delay, distract, decide – which can empower us to resist the urge for that extra glass or even the first sip of wine. She explains how by delaying the decision for 25 minutes, distracting ourselves with meaningful activities during that time, and then deciding based on thoughtful considerations, we can make a more conscious choice about our alcohol consumption. Throughout the episode, Deirdre encourages us to reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of drinking, how it aligns with our life goals, and how it may impact our overall well-being. She emphasizes the importance of balancing instant gratification with delayed gratification and reminds us that we seldom regret choosing not to indulge in that extra drink. However, Deirdre also acknowledges that this approach is primarily for those who fall into the gray area of drinking and not for individuals with alcohol dependency. If you suspect you have a dependency, she advises consulting with your doctor before making any changes to your alcohol intake.Tune in to this insightful episode as Deirdre guides us towards a weekend without wine, inviting us to explore the possibilities of enhanced well-being and the joy that can come from embracing conscious choices. So grab your favorite beverage, sit back, and let's dive into "Wellbeing Weekend Without Wine."Support the show

Ryan Cloverhill, founder and CEO of the world's most popular social media platform, invites his six best friends from college to his home on his private island near Puget Sound. For Stephen, Emma, Perry, Will, Beau, and Lainie, day one is just what the doctor ordered: amazing food, many drinks, lots of laughter, and a sunset cruise around the island aboard their host's custom Van Dutch 55. Day Two, however, takes a bewildering turn when the six hungover guests wake up to find that their host has disappeared, along with all connection to the mainland. A touchscreen tablet of unknown make awaits them, blatantly defying the rules of the weekend with its on-screen challenge: Unlock Me! The passcode to the tablet is hidden somewhere in the group's shared history. But what seems at first like just another silly game turns deadly serious when the group discovers what unlocking the tablet really means. Is it the key to their futures, a Pandora's box none of them will ever be able to close, or both? Only one thing is clear: their old friend Ryan has something unthinkable planned. Now it's up to the six of them to stop him. And when this weekend is over, the world will never be the same.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/houseofmysteryradio. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap Logan's stress free weekend of sports. With both the Iowa Hawkeyes and Buffalo Bills not playing this week after a couple of tough losses, we had the opportunity to sit back and watch the UNI Panthers upset the South Dakota State Jackrabbits along with other miscellaneous action from the world of college football. With that, we recap this weekend of college football and look at some of the strange results we had this weekend, like Wake Forest v Army, Cincinnati @ Navy, Oklahoma @ Kansas, etc. We also recapped this weekends action in the NFL, that could almost be seen as equally strange, with multiple blowouts and weird plays all around. While discussing the NFL, we also look at Ja'Marr Chase kicking ASS while also recapping the pick, the Deshaun Watson trade situation, if the Giants and Browns should move on from their starters, and where the 2022 rookie quarterbacks rank in regards to the whole draft. Enjoy!
