Rebecca Zhou is the co-founder and CEO of the bodycare brand Soft Services. Zhou has been at the forefront of the DTC consumer goods industry for over a decade. Jens Pöhlmann hatte es geschafft: 2018 begann er seine Arbeit bei Piranha Bytes, dem berühmten deutschen Rollenspielstudio aus dem Ruhrpott, das Jens seit seinen ersten Schritten in Gothic verehrte. Vier Jahre lang sollt er dort als Environment Artist erst an Elex 2 arbeiten und dann an einem ganz neuen Titel - bevor der aber angekündigt werden konnte, nahm die Geschichte einen anderen Verlauf: Piranha Bytes schloss 2024 ihre Pforten und Jens Pöhlmann musste sich neu orientieren. So wurde er zum Indie-Entwickler und bastelt derzeit an seinem ersten eigenen Spiel namens Spitfire: Moonpie's Mission, ein abgefahren-bunter Plattformer mit spuckenden Alpakas und menschenähnlichen Heuschrecken. Der Titel soll im März 2025 erscheinen und trotz der vielen Arbeit, die Jens als Solo-Entwickler damit hat, nahm er sich Zeit für ein Gespräch mit Gastgeber Dom Schott. Lauren Caris Cohan is a filmmaker and the chief creative officer of the chic and sustainable womenswear brand Reformation. Lauren got her start as a styling assistant at Free People in Philadelphia in the late 2000s, eventually working her way up to the title of artistic director. While looking to pursue a newfound interest in screenwriting, she was given carte blanche to create a series of narrative short films for the brand. In 2017, she left the company to look for new opportunities to explore filmmaking. She consistently worked on her projects, creating short films, writing scripts, and co-founding a creative services agency called Lolly Would. In 2017, she co-founded the industry-disrupting lingerie brand Cuup, again bringing her distinctive creative flair to craft the storytelling around the start-up. Geo Rutherford is a popular TikTok creator and author of the new book Spooky Lakes: 25 Strange and Mysterious Lakes That Dot Our Planet. Geo started her career as a high school art teacher in the Midwest, creating engaging and thoughtful art curricula for her students. She eventually decided to get her master's in arts education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Upon moving, she fell in love with the Great Lakes and their unique role in our ecosystem. Scarlett Johansson is an actor, director, producer, and co-founder of the skincare company The Outset. She began acting at age nine and continued to work steadily through adolescence and beyond, making films alongside industry legends like Robert Redford and taking on increasingly ambitious roles like the titular character in Girl With the Pearl Earring. Her career climbed to new heights in the last decade, as she was nominated for Academy Awards for the films Jojo Rabbit and Marriage Story, and played the lethal superhero Black Widow in the Marvel movie franchise. But after years as an accomplished actress, she knew that she wanted to expand her horizons and use some of her hard-earned expertise for her own projects. She then founded her own production company, These Pictures, and in 2022, co-founded the skincare company, The Outset, to provide solutions for adult acne and other skin issues that had plagued her for years. The brand, which launched on Amazon and QVC earlier this year, has come to be known for its effective ingredients and simple, nonirritating formulas.
