Today's Headlines: Yet another wild weekend of news! A man traveled from San Diego to DC by train with two legally purchased firearms and multiple knives, charged past security at the White House Correspondents Dinner, got shot at by a Secret Service agent who accidentally hit a fellow officer, and was apprehended within seconds. Trump was evacuated, went straight to the briefing room in black tie, and has since used the incident primarily to advocate for his White House ballroom, with the DOJ helpfully filing a motion to drop the lawsuit blocking its construction the very next morning. The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, sent a manifesto to his family calling himself a "friendly federal assassin" and targeting Trump and his cabinet — his family forwarded it to law enforcement, who apparently didn't get there in time. They beat and stabbed Alfred Kitenga at about 9:30 p.m. along the Northern Bypass in the Wakiso District, after he and his wife, Anna Grace, were returning home from preaching in Kampala, the Ugandan capital. One local church leader said, “This is a painful loss for the body of Christ.” In John 15:19, Jesus said, "If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." He added, “Additionally, our mine ‘sweepers' are clearing the Strait right now. I am hereby ordering that activity to continue, but at a tripled-up level!” Trump retrieves 10-year-old child from Cuba in transgender drama The Trump administration took the unusual step this week of sending a government plane to Cuba to return a 10-year-old boy from Utah who is at the center of a complicated and contentious custody fight involving the child's gender identity, reports NBC News. The boy's 42-year-old father, Mr. Ethington, who is pretending to be a woman himself, is accused of taking his son to Cuba without the permission from the biological mother, with whom he has shared custody. Federal and state authorities sought the return of the boy after a family member expressed concern that Mr. Ethington went to Havana, Cuba to get gender transition surgery for the boy. Mr. Ethington was arrested along with his 32-year-old partner, Blue, and charged in the U.S. with international parental kidnapping. The couple traveled with the boy to Canada, ostensibly for a camping trip in late March with Blue's 3-year-old child. However, the two adults deviously turned off their phones, after telling the older child's mother they'd arrived in Canada. Then, they flew from Vancouver to Mexico and then to Cuba on April 1. Navy secretary fired after feud over Trump's ‘Golden Fleet' with Pentagon leaders Secretary of the Navy John Phelan was fired on April 22nd after months of feuding with his Pentagon bosses, particularly over his handling of President Trump's “Golden Fleet” shipbuilding initiative, reports the New York Post. Tensions among Phelan, War Secretary Pete Hegseth and Deputy War Secretary Stephen Feinberg had been simmering for months. According to one GOP source, Phelan's leadership style was “incongruent” with Hegseth and Feinberg. The source said, “The administration really wanted to accelerate the shipbuilding program because of the president's agenda … and the secretary seemed incapable of accomplishing those goals, and he wasn't well-liked. When you combine incompetence with arrogance, it usually doesn't end well.” Deputy War Secretary Feinberg had been gradually diverting responsibility for the major project away from Phelan, the New York Times reported.  Hung Cao, the Naval undersecretary, is now set to replace him. Virginia voters gave 10 of 11 Congressional seats to Democrats On Tuesday, the Virginia Democrat officials successfully convinced voters to narrowly approve a constitutionally questionable redistricting push to give 10 out of the 11 U.S. congressional seats to the Democrats, a change that one judge ruled to be unconstitutional, reports ABC News. The Democrats had previously held 6 Congressional seats in Virginia. Florida's possible redistricting could help ensure more GOP seats In light of the Virginia election, the red state of Florida is now in the spotlight, reports JustTheNews. In the Sunshine State, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis is spearheading an effort to redraw their state's congressional districts before the midterm elections. That would help to ensure the Republicans could retain their majority in the House, and can fully implement President Trump's agenda. Another medical emergency uncovered at Colorado Planned Parenthood Yet another medical emergency was spotted this month at a Colorado Planned Parenthood abortion mill with a checkered history on patient safety, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Operation Rescue reported that an ambulance was spotted on April 10 arriving at the Fort Collins Planned Parenthood. The EMS radio dispatch revealed that a 19-year-old woman came in a day after her abortion complaining of chest pains. The EMS' use of the code “Charlie Medical” indicated fears that the situation was potentially life-threatening. Abortion mills across the country are regularly flagged for harming mothers through botched abortions, unsanitary tools and environments, and lack of regulatory protections such as requirements for staff to secure admitting privileges at nearby hospitals in the event of complications. SERIES 2 EPISODE 201: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: As debate day arrives there could not be a more potent nor ominous metaphor for our political crisis than the one in DC. There, a 3000-pound replica of the Lincoln Memorial is… at this hour… melting in the hot sun. As Trump tries to destroy democracy and Biden tries to destroy Trump, the climate disaster that has already begun and on which Trump would apply the finishing touches, has so imperiled the six-foot tall wax statue of Lincoln outside a Washington elementary school, that the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities has removed Lincoln's head “to prevent it from falling and breaking.” Can you think of worse imagery? Polling indicates more than half of voters expect to watch tonight, and that a rather startling 11% actually expect to have their opinion of who to vote for changed by the results. The three groups produce the most voters who feel that way are the ones in which Trump has had the most unlikely growth: voters under 35, African-Americans, and Hispanics. If Trump actually blows that growth tonight he's cooked. And we will either have a debate right after the Supreme Court rules on this Trumpian "Presidential Immunity" nonsense, or the night before it. It becomes a simple, tangible truth that if the Court invents this immunity and declares this nation a monarchy, the king won't be Trump but Biden and he can take any steps he wants without fear of consequence. It's kind of hard to believe but it is literally true that if SCOTUS creates immunity today, Biden could have arrest Trump tonight - during the debate. B-Block (17:22) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Jamaal Bowman didn't lose because a Nevada Republican called him names, or because AIPAC spent millions, or because progressives are in retreat. He lost because of Jamaal Bowman. The sports TV world is in such trouble a Major League Baseball team is now in essence PAYING its fans to watch its game broadcasts. And Hung Cao, the nut job GOP candidate for Senate in Virginia, tries to get out in front of a huge scandal by blaming a USA Today story that he may have padded his military resume on... the font their reporter used in their email.
