The ABC's maiden cricket podcast hosted by Kristen Beams and Brittany Carter. Australia has clean swept both white-ball formats to win the Women's Ashes outright and hold onto the trophy for a sixth straight series. They now lead 12 points to nil with just the Test match left to play, where four more points will be on offer. Despite the lop-sided affair, it feels as if the tension has started to heat up, as conversations around England's fitness and athleticism spark debate. There was the shunning of past player turned broadcaster Alex Hartley for her honesty, before head coach Jon Lewis gave some odd comments about Australia's warm weather influencing their ability to be the better side. A photo of English captain Heather Knight standing with her head bowed in the pouring rain really summed up the frustrating tour they've had so far.We unpack all of the drama and marvel in the consistency of leading run-scorer Beth Mooney, the hard-hitting prowess of Grace Harris and several captain's knocks from stand-in skipper Tahlia McGrath, as Alyssa Healy once again battles a foot injury.
The summer of sport is heating up as we reach the pointy end of the BBL, the Tour Down Under and the Australian Open. ABC Sport's Matt Clinch catches up with Australian all-rounder Grace Harris after their comprehensive Ashes win. Corbin Middlemas is joined by Roger Rasheed to dissect the Australian Open so far and preview the singles finals.
Australian all rounder Grace Harris says she wants to keep their winning momentum going. Australia have won this Ashes series and lead 10-0 in the points tally against England.
Women's Ashes Daily, 2nd T20, Canberra: We finally got a close one, a real genuine close one, with Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Heather Knight turning it on in pursuit of Australia's big score that was built by Beth Mooney, Tahlia McGrath, and crowd favourite Grace Harris. The ABC's maiden cricket podcast hosted by Kristen Beams and Brittany Carter. It's not often we get to see Laura and Grace Harris combine with the bat because they specialise at different points in the order. But on the odd occasion the Brisbane Heat needs to score quickly, then it's fun to see them go bang! The elder of the two joins us to chat ahead of the team's Challenger Final. Plus, we discuss the WBBL10 Team of the Tournament and why spin has dominated so heavily this season.
Grace Harris is the author of the bestselling memoir “Become The Woman of Your Dreams” – where she shared the first true-life story that's been written and published, relating to the epidemic of child abandonment in the Philippines. A true story of Grace's own journey which has now been the focus of numerous book clubs across the regions of the United States and Australia. A certified Neuro Linguistic Programming and Transformational Coach, as well as a licensed Crystal Dreaming® Shamanic Practitioner, Grace is a leading Heart-Activated Speaking and Aligned Visibility Strategist, and she is passionate about empowering empaths and visionaries to embody their unique voice and unleash the power of their sacred stories so that they can leave a divine legacy and create intergenerational transformation. In January 2022, Grace created the “Women Unleashed Project”, gathering a phenomenal collective of authors, coaches, speakers, healers and entrepreneurs sharing their own sacred stories and lived experiences of adversity and how it helped to catapult them into total, personal transformation, creating lasting change, for their clients, and their communities.

We've reached the end of the women's cricket season in Australia and it's time to wrap the 2023/24 summer up in a neat little bow. Tasmania have claimed their third-straight Ruth Preddy Cup in the 50-over Women's National Cricket League, as Heather Graham starred with the ball (3 wickets) and Nicola Carey powered the Tigers home with the bat. A match-winning century from Carey saw her earn POTM honours, whilst debunking the silly cricket superstition associated with scoring 'a Nelson' (111 runs). In India, the second season of the Women's Premier League has just got underway and although plenty of Aussies are featuring in the tournament again, none have really shone just yet.Beamsy and Britt discuss Tasmania's domestic dominance and ponder whether the Australian WPL imports might be a bit tired, before looking back on some of the broader talking points of the summer regarding new captain Alyssa Healy and the anticipation of a potentially shortened Women's Big Bash League next season.
It turns out rock bottom has a basement after England's latest embarrassing defeat at the World Cup. Finny, Dan and Toby react to another shocking performance and try and work out what the hell is going on. In lighter news, Grace Harris continues being a badass and there's been some decent sledging for once! Plus the Danai Lama returns once again to help with those difficult conversations. Have we just witnessed the greatest opening week of a WBBL season? Meg Lanning is back and she led the Melbourne Stars to an upset win over the Sydney Sixers on their home turf. But then, barely believable scenes unfolded as the Stars were rolled for 29 by the Adelaide Strikers! A host of young quicks including Milly Illingworth and Chloe Ainsworth have lit up the competition. The Sydney Thunder have shaken the underdog tag with Phoebe Litchfield in scintillating touch. And of course, there's Grace Harris. Grace whacked an unbeaten 136no - the highest WBBL score of all time at North Sydney Oval - and in the process, sent the internet into overdrive by hitting a super six with a broken bat. This week on the Scoop, Brisbane Heat allrounder Georgia Voll joins Laura and Emily to recap a wild opening week and the Heat's dream start to the season. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We are midway through the World Cup and it's fair to say that no one knows anything, none of it matters because India is a nearly unbackable favourite and the ICC are meeting at the end of the tournament anyway to decide the future of the format. Hope my team is good by the end of next week. Unfortunately Adam Zampa is not on the show, but Matt Roller from ESPNCricInfo is and he joins us from Bangalore in India to tell us how much air one can chew, if any of the teams near India are good and what the feeling is around the World Cup generally, from a fan's perspective. Finally, Kim Garth and Tess Flintoff from the Melbourne Stars join us in the studio to discuss being rolled for 29, pumping around Europe before a call-up to the Australian squad, cricket in Ireland, Alyssa Healy's hand, Grace Harris hitting sixes with a broken bat and stupid questions men ask.
