Chamar and Andrew are back with yet another iconic DC story being put on the animation table with the 2011 film https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Lantern:_Emerald_Knights (Green Lantern: Emerald Knights). Mild-mannered reporters by day, Greg Phillips and Nick Duke share an intense love of comic books that has made them the Hard-Traveling Fanboys. And their love of comics isn't limited to the page. In Off the Page, Greg and Nick will examine pieces of comic book media outside the comics themselves. In honor of Rowdy Roddy Piper, who passed away two years ago, the boys look at his only work within the world of mainstream comic book adaptations: the 2011 animated film Green Lantern: Emerald Knights! Hear why the boys love his portrayal of a fan favorite side character and why they consider this to be perhaps the greatest version of Green Lantern outside the comics.
Chad and Mark dust off their respective DVD collections and hit play on the Green Lantern Emerald Knights animated feature from 2011. So join us as we provide OUR commentary on the origins of the first Green Lantern, Kilowogs rookie days, Larias first mission, why Mogo doesn't socialize, and Abin Sur meets ATROCITUS!
