Did you miss our review of Groomsmen Second Chances last October? Have no fear! We're releasing it again for you to enjoy! Alonso is with us today to help us break down all that happen in the 2nd Groomsmen movie. ABOUT THE GROOMSMEN SECOND CHANCES:Danny finds the courage to admit his romantic feelings for his best friend when he is asked to be the best man at his wedding in Greece.AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR THE GROOMSMEN SECOND CHANCES:October 24, 2024 | Hallmark+ / September 13, 2025 | Hallmark ChannelCAST & CREW OF THE GROOMSMEN SECOND CHANCES:Jonathan Bennett as DannyAlexander Lincoln as ZackTyler Hynes as JacksonB.J. Britt as PeteBRAN'S THE GROOMSMEN SECOND CHANCES SYNOPSIS: The “groomsmen” show up at the pub looking for a bride, but the pub owner tells them to scram. After they leave, the bride continues her story. Before she tells us about her own wedding, she has to share about another one.Danny is talking to his business manager, Zach. Danny's like, “Zach, you're coming with me to my sister's wedding.” When he tells his buddies that Zach is tagging along, they're like, “Shouldn't you already be dating someone?” Danny insists, “No way—we're just friends. We're too different.”At the wedding, Danny and Zach dance and talk—Zach about a new guy he's seeing, Danny about what went wrong with his ex.A month later, Danny meets Nolan, who flatters him by calling him the greatest pitcher the Phillies ever had. Turns out, Zach and Nolan end up together—but Zach doesn't tell Danny. At Pete's wedding, Danny tries to bring it up, but Zach shuts it down. They just dance instead. While dancing, Zach admits that he had proposed to Nolan, but Nolan turned him down, and they broke up.Later, the guys convince Danny to shoot his shot with Zach. He finally decides to—only for Zach to reveal that Nolan is actually back, and this time they're getting married. Danny's even asked to be best man and help plan the wedding. The wedding is set for Greece (because why not). Right before the trip, Nolan says he can't leave yet but will arrive the day before the ceremony. So Danny goes with Zach to help with the planning. They tour Greece, throwing parties (well, planning a wedding). One day, Zach surprises Danny with a batting cage on the beach. Danny teaches him how to swing—it's sensual, sparks fly.The next day, when Danny tries to talk about it, Zach brushes it off. The boys encourage Danny to be honest, so he finally confesses his feelings. Zach rejects him: “Hard pass, man.”On the wedding day, Danny is nowhere to be found. The guys discover him staring out at the water. Zach shows up, confesses he's in love with Danny too, and they kiss before jumping into the water together. One year later—they're the ones getting married! And the bride says she still has one more story to tell. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Did you miss our review of Groomsmen First Look last October? Have no fear! We're releasing it again for you to enjoy! Alonso is with us today to help us break down all that happen in the 1st Groomsmen movie. ABOUT THE GROOMSMEN FIRST LOOK:A pediatrician and an overseas doctor, meet at a wedding in Philadelphia, but the long distance, family, and their friends may hinder their budding romance.AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR THE GROOMSMEN FIRST LOOK:October 17, 2024 | Hallmark+ / September 6, 2025 | Hallmark ChannelCAST & CREW OF THE GROOMSMEN FIRST LOOK:B.J. Britt as PeteHeather Hemmens as ChelseaJonathan Bennett as DannyTyler Hynes as JacksonBRAN'S THE GROOMSMEN FIRST LOOK SYNOPSIS: This woman walks into a store, clearly hiding from someone. The shop owner asks, “Who are you hiding from?” She peeks out and whispers, “Them! The groomsmen.” The store owner leans in: “What's the story?” She sighs. “It all started with a wedding…”Cut to a wedding. We see a guy in a suit on the phone. His name is Dr. Byer, and he bumps into a girl—not the girl from the beginning, but Hannah's maid of honor. They bond over their shared belief that clip-on ties are cheating. She's nervous about giving a speech. Turns out Dr. Byer is good friends with Danny, the best man. And surprise—she's a doctor too. Dr. Chelsea. There's one other groomsman: Jackson. Jackson, Danny, and Pete have been best friends since summer camp. They love hanging out and, of course, choreographed dances.Pete meets Chelsea, and they end up dancing and talking all night. But there's a catch—she lives halfway around the world. At the end of the night, she drops the bomb: she's leaving in the morning. She says, “We should stay in touch.” Pete replies, “We aren't really going to stay in touch, are we?” He kisses her hand, and they part ways. The next day, Pete's hanging out with the guys. Danny says, “What about a long-distance relationship?” Jackson adds, “Actually, you might be perfect for it. You're so organized and stuck in your ways.” Pete is torn, but they convince him: “You've got to stop her before she goes to the airport and tell her she's all you've ever wanted.”They rush to the hotel, but—womp womp—she's already gone. Pete chases after her, only to realize she was never in the cab. She's still at the hotel. He comes back, gulps some water, and shoots his shot… badly. But Chelsea admits she feels the same way, though she doesn't know how the distance will work. Pete says, “I don't know either, but I don't want to not try.” She grabs his phone, takes a selfie with him, and gives him her number. They start texting nonstop—cute doctor stuff, constant phone calls. Then one day, everything changes: video calls! Jackson takes this seriously, even sending his client Celeste to do Pete's makeup before a call.Pete dials in… no answer. Then a text: “Sorry, this isn't working.” Blocked. WTF?! Jackson and Danny try to reassure him, but Pete feels crushed.Later that night, Pete gets woken up by a call. It's Chelsea. The storm knocked out her internet. That's all she meant—he was never really blocked. Relief.Things go back to normal. They just want to see each other in person. Easier said than done. Both are so busy. One day, Pete's at Danny's nephew's birthday party when Chelsea shows up. “I'm here for one night. Let's go on a proper date.” Danny yells, “WE'RE GOING SHOPPING!”On their date, things feel harder than expected. It's awkward—not just because a guitar player won't stop playing in their faces, but because online chemistry doesn't always translate perfectly in person. So they bail and grab Philly cheesesteaks instead. On their walk, Chelsea admits, “I actually came here to break up with you. But after tonight…I want to keep trying.” Pete smiles: “I know how we can try next…” They kiss. His boys warn him: “Whatever you do, don't say ‘I love you' first.” Naturally, Chelsea hops in a cab, Pete chases it down, and he blurts it out. She says it back. The crowd cheers.Pete decides to propose. The boys warn him: “Don't you think you should spend more time together in person first?” But Pete is set. He flies out to surprise her—only to drop the ring box on the luggage carousel. When it comes back around, it's gone. He scrambles after it, gets detained by TSA, but luckily Chelsea knows the officers. They let him go with a warning. As Pete and Chelsea leave, TSA hands him the ring back. He proposes right then and there. Chelsea laughs: “This is so crazy! Yes!”They go to meet her parents. It's tense—her parents are intense, her mom furious they want to get married on the beach. Eventually, they compromise: a five-star resort by the beach. Pete's mom shows up and disapproves of everything, but then declares she's going to officiate the wedding. The groomsmen arrive, everyone has dinner, and Pete admits he's considering moving overseas with Chelsea. It's too much. Chelsea storms off. “Go camping with your boys. We need a break.” Disaster strikes—a massive storm hits while the guys are lost in the woods, grounding flights and keeping wedding guests away.Pete fights with the groomsmen, storms off, then they reconcile. The next day, things are better. He and Chelsea reconnect on the beach. She tells him she can't wait to spend the rest of her life with him. They kiss and, right then and there, get married exactly the way they wanted—simple, real, and by the ocean. So what does this have to do with the woman from the beginning? She leans in and says: “Pete and Chelsea's story was just the beginning. Because after them… there was another wedding.”

Stop me if you've heard this one..A bride-to-be excitedly plans an elaborate proposal to her bridesmaids, self-care products in ribbon-secured boxes or personalised tote bags topped off with a card that reads: “Will you be my bridesmaid?”Within a few short months, there are at least a couple of chat groups to communicate the colour palette the dress code, important dates, and to discuss the bridesmaids' responsibilities. If you haven't said stop yet, let me save you from wondering. This is where, in my mind, I would be screaming STOP.Does anyone really care anymore?Should we be wondering what the secret code for bridesmaids is, deciphering it, working around it, trying desperately not to upset the bride OR can we agree that the social circumstances, the world and our needs have changed and we have more demands and commitments in our own lives than ever before so is it in our best interests to continue the bride/bridesmaid dance. What is reasonable to expect in 2025, and do you even want or can afford to be in their I DO Crew?Today, I'm talking about the past, the present and what I believe, should be the future of bridesmaids and groomsmen.Let's get down to brass tacks and work out what bridal party traditions and expectations are still relevant in this day and age and how to minimise the drama. Send us a textIt finally happened! TV and Hello Nurse officially tied the knot over Memorial Day weekend last week, and EstoBro was so delighted to be there for it. Throughout standing up at the wedding, he crossed paths with another groomsman that he sparked a great connection with: Seany Mags (1:15). When TV heard that one of his New York brethren was making it as a guest on the show, he had to make his slight return and give Mr. Mags an excellent opening gesture. With the ongoing opening to the TV wedding series episodes, EstoBro highlights the first time meeting Mags: taking him to his first New York Mets game in 2016 (9:00). The trio of gentlemen start the show focusing on all things Mets; from the Yankees not getting over Juan Soto leaving for Queens to the ripple effect of the Mets trading away Pete Crow-Armstrong to the Chicago Cubs. With TV back in attendance, he was happy to run a vintage version of the show with Mags and highlight the record-breaking box office weekend for the holiday (28:30). For Memorial Day weekend, Disney's live adaptation of Lilo and Stitch and the final chapter of Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible series were released on the same day. The two movies combined, alongside some other blockbuster smashes, brought in an estimated $330 million; who said going to the movies is dead? Another highlighted circumstance on why EstoBro wants Mags to come on the program is that he shares the same general interest in EDM music (46:20). Their guest even shares his story on how he knows somebody in the business, as they focus on the next major music festival coming up in New York: Governor's Ball. With EstoBro anticipating Bonnaroo in a few weeks, he encourages TV and Mr. Mags they invade this music festival in the foreseeable future as they review the lineup for this year's Governor's BallTheme song made by iamRavedadInteract with the Gents of the podcast on the following social media platforms:X (Formally known as Twitter) YouTube InstagramBlog/websiteJoin the Discord serverSubscribe to the official playlist of the podcast

If one leaves heirs some of whom are minors and some of whom are of age - with various stipulations - what is the halakhah? Plus, if one married a child off in a "wedding house" - the son acquires the house, at least under the right conditions. Also, if one writes his estate over to his wife, she is then an administrator of the estate - with other halakhot which are each established according to the tradition. Also, a new mishnah - brothers who are partners in business, and then they are "called up" -- in service to the Romans (or Persians), with a key historical backdrop for this halakhah - how does that service pay for what all of them owe, or how doees earnings from such service reach all of them? Likewise, if a brother takes ill.... and the level of responsibility is spread out among the brothers (or not). And another mishnah: Groomsmen who give gifts to the groom, and his reciprocal gifts back to them.
The movie kicks off at the initial wedding, where Jackson is dancing with his daughter, Betty, and Betty drops a bomb—she's moving to Italy with her mom. Jackson is pretty miserable. He runs a firm that represents social media influencers, like a guy who just eats soup. One day, he gets a call from his ex asking if Betty can come and stay with him for a while, and he's like, “I got a better idea—I'll come to you!” He goes to Italy and gets a red convertible, 'cause why not? He almost hits a woman named Gabriella. I'm sure he'll never see her again, though. Except he does, 'cause of course she runs a café that doesn't serve cappuccinos in the afternoon. They continue to bump into each other, and friction turns into sexual tension. He even builds her a new website. But Jackson is like, “Nothing is going to happen between us.” He is a bit hesitant to love since he's been there, done that, and got divorced. The boys come to visit, and they go to a masked dance. The boys are like, “Go out there, dance with someone.” He is hesitant but does end up dancing with a masked stranger, and it is hot, hot, hot. He even dips her! It's a moment. But he leaves before finding out who she is.The next day, they're at the café, and Gabriella slips and almost falls, and he catches her, dip style, realizing that it was her he danced with. He talks to her about it, and she's like, “Sorry, I didn't know it was you.” The next day, he's walking with Betty, and Betty tells him that he's not dating for any other reason than being scared, and it's not fair to either of them. The following day, Gabriella brings over some lasagna, and he offers to drive her home. The car breaks down, so they end up walking back to the city, and he opens up about everything. She tells him that she knew it was him all along during the dance. They are about to kiss, but the sprinkler turns on, and everyone knows you can't kiss while wet. He joins her for dinner at her father's house, and at the end of the night, he's like, “I'd love to make this work, but it just doesn't make sense.” She's like, “We'll always have that dance.” He realizes that he done goofed and decides that he's going to stay! They kiss!Cut back to the narrator of the story—it's Betty. Milo shows up and tells her that he's loved her since they were kids. They get married. Everyone gives so many speeches, Then they all dance. And FINALLY, the groomsmen do there special dance again.

Next Level Soul with Alex Ferrari: A Spirituality & Personal Growth Podcast
Today's guest is a writer, director, producer, actor, and indie filmmaking legend, Edward Burns. Many of you might have heard of the Sundance Film Festival-winning film called The Brothers McMullen, his iconic first film that tells the story of three Irish Catholic brothers from Long Island who struggle to deal with love, marriage, and infidelity. His Cinderella story of making the film, getting into Sundance, and launching his career is the stuff of legend. The Brothers McMullen was sold to Fox Searchlight and went on to make over $10 million at the box office on a $27,000 budget, making it one of the most successful indie films of the decade.Ed went off to star in huge films like Saving Private Ryan for Steven Spielberg and direct studio films like the box office hit She's The One. The films about the love life of two brothers, Mickey and Francis, interconnect as Francis cheats on his wife with Mickey's ex-girlfriend, while Mickey impulsively marries a stranger.Even after his mainstream success as an actor, writer, and director he still never forgot his indie roots. He continued to quietly produce completely independent feature films on really low budgets. How low, how about $9000. As with any smart filmmaker, Ed has continued to not only produce films but to consider new methods of getting his projects to the world. In 2007, he teamed up with Apple iTunes to release an exclusive film Purple Violets. It was a sign of the times that the director was branching out to new methods of release for his projects. In addition, he also continued to release works with his signature tried-and-true method of filmmaking. Using a very small $25,000 budget and a lot of resourcefulness, Burns created Nice Guy Johnny in 2010.Johnny Rizzo is about to trade his dream job in talk radio for some snooze-Ville gig that'll pay enough to please his fiancée. Enter Uncle Terry, a rascally womanizer set on turning a weekend in the Hamptons into an eye-opening fling for his nephew. Nice Guy Johnny's not interested, of course, but then he meets the lovely Brooke, who challenges Johnny to make the toughest decision of his life. The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival. While he was releasing that film, Burns wrote, starred, and directed Newlyweds. He filmed this on a small Canon 5D camera in only 12 days and on a budget of only $9,000. Newlyweds Buzzy and Katie find their blissful life disrupted by the arrival of his half-sister and news of her sister's marriage troubles. In his book, Independent Ed: Inside a Career of Big Dreams, Little Movies, and the Twelve Best Days of My Life (which I recommend ALL filmmakers read), Ed mentions some rules he dubbed “McMullen 2.0” which were basically a set of rules for independent filmmakers to shoot by.Actors would have to work for virtually nothing. The film should take no longer than 12 days to film and get into the canDon't shoot with any more than a three-man crewActor's use their own clothesActors do their own hair and make-upAsk and beg for any locationsUse the resources you have at your disposalI used similar rules when I shot my feature films This is Meg, which I shot that in 8 days, and On the Corner of Ego and Desire which I shot in 4 days. To be honest, Ed was one of my main inspirations when I decided to make my first micro-budget feature film, along with Mark and Jay Duplass, Joe Swanberg, and Michael and Mark Polish. Ed has continued to have an amazing career directing films like The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, The Groomsmen, Looking for Kitty, Ash Wednesday, Sidewalks of New York, No Looking Back, and many more.Ed jumped into television with the Spielberg-produced TNT drama Public Morals, where he wrote, directed, and starred in every episode.Set in the early 1960s in New York City's Public Morals Division, where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that come from dealing with all kinds of vice can get the better of them. His latest project is EPIX's Bridge and Tunnel is a dramedy series set in 1980 that revolves around a group of recent college grads setting out to pursue their dreams in Manhattan while still clinging to the familiarity of their working-class Long Island hometown. He also pulls writing, producing, and directing duties for all the episodes.Ed has continued to give back to the indie film community with his amazing book, lectures and his knowledge bomb packed director commentaries. Trust me to go out and buy the DVD versions of all his films. His commentaries are worth the price of admission. When I first spoke to Ed he told me that he had been a fan of the podcast for a while. As you can imagine I was floored and humbled at the same time. Getting to sit down and speak to a filmmaker that had such an impact on my own directing career was a dream come true. Ed is an inspiration to so many indie filmmakers around the world and I'm honored to bring this epic conversation to all of you. Please enjoy my conversation with Edward Burns.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/next-level-soul-podcast-with-alex-ferrari--4858435/support.
