Real Human Vampires typically do not sleep in coffins, do have reflections, don't turn into bats and are not immortal. They do however have a taste for blood typically provided by willing donors or animals. John Edgar Browning is the foremost authority on modern day vampire culture and behavior. Growing up a fan of horror films, at a young age he fell in love with Bram Stoker's Dracula, passion became research which ultimately led to his doctorate. With an estimated more than 5000 people in the US who identify as vampires, John dispels any misnomers and educates us on vampire origins and myths. But, is there a darker side associated with this...Black magic or blood covens?

This Strange Country episode doesn't suck. And that is the solid comedy gold to expect as you listen to Beth and Kelly try not to talk about the election that hasn't happened as they recorded but has happened when this airs. The cortisol is definitely traipsing through their 60,000 mile-long circulatory systems. Oh, and vampires, yes, they're talking about bloodsuckers who also can suck your energy away. Like this election. In 2055, New York City has been remade. Holobots - holographic projections - roam the streets, in many cases nearly indistinguishable from real human beings. The holobots are marketing tools owned by Kingore, CEO of Holobots, Inc., the megacorporation seeking to produce the most realistic holobots. The genius behind Kingore's efforts is programmer Freddie C, whose quest for holobot realism has created fame that threatens to eclipse that of his employer. But something has gone wrong in Freddie's quest. Stunned, alone, and confused he only knows he must find Lucinda, the light of his life. William Edgar owns Edgar Motorsport and he has been an automotive photographer, journalist, and author since 1968. Born the son of a 1930s outboard hydroplane pilot and legendary sports car racing team owner, John Edgar, William was on-the-ground in time to witness the Fabulous Fifties’ golden age of sports car races that included Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Torrey Pines, Golden Gate Park, and the GP track his father’s financing built, Riverside International Raceway. William has made historical films and worked in live action television documentaries with racers including Mario Andretti, Sam Posey, David Hobbs, and many others. He earned the Dean Batchelor Award for his book American Sports Car Racing in the 1950’s, co-authored by Michael T. Lynch, a past Cars Yeah guest, and Ron Parravano. No doubt you’ve read his prize-winning stories and seen his photographs featured in hundreds of magazines around the world.
Alex Williams convenes a spirited panel for some analysis of the state of the browser, and by extension the state of the Web, leading to a fair amount of speculation about the direction of things. Sometime co-host James Governor, co-founder of Red Monk, John Edgar, Strategic Initiative VP at DigitalOcean, and John Lilly, Partner at Greylock (and who was CEO of Mozilla from 2008 until 2010) add their perspectives, while Paul Irish, Project Manager at Google, finds himself in the middle of the ring as the voice of Team Chrome, the leading browser.
