After exclusively working with Nike for 27 years, until January 2024, Tiger Woods is putting his expert stamps on golf apparel and accessories again — this time, under the Sun Day Red label.  Not so coincidentally launched in January, beginning with select golf clothing styles, Sun Day Red is best described as a collaboration between Woods and the 45-year-old golf gear brand TaylorMade. As of Wednesday, the company took a significant step by introducing its first golf shoes, developed according to Woods's specifications and tested by the legend on the course. According to Charley Hudak, the brand's senior creative director of footwear, and Tyler Pinkos, its head of footwear development and sourcing — who both joined the Glossy Podcast for this week's episode — the introductory Pioneer Cypress style is the first of many Sun Day Red shoes that will be hitting the market. Running shoes, Chelsea boots and dress loafers could eventually be found in the brand's assortment.    Also on the podcast, Hudak and Pinkos discussed the process of working with Woods on product development, the growth potential for Sun Day Red and the opportunity to build a Smithsonian-worthy shoe.

Chris shares how he and his wife Jen started building campers in their garage and grew Escapod into a brand known for rugged, go-anywhere teardrop trailers. We dig into the design behind the Topo 2, what sets it apart in the overlanding world, and why durability and comfort are non-negotiables for them. Episode Guest Chris Hudak founded Escapod with his wife, Jen, in June 2016. The Escapod mission exemplifies his beliefs that enjoying the outdoors can be comfortable and limitless. The Escapod journey started with a crazy idea, a beer or two, and a sketch drawn on a napkin. Chris and Jen were always traveling and adventuring — their summertime passion was to jump in the car after the work-week and hit the road in search of the best mountain biking within a 12-hour drive. When they got sick of packing cars with tents, sleeping bags, cookware, food, coolers, water, 2 dogs...you get the point…they decided they needed a faster, more comfortable way to travel. • Website • Instagram Resources Mentioned in this Episode - Video: Escapod Topo 2 Walk-Through - We're the Russos YouTube Channel - Newsletter sign up - Book 1: Take Risks - Book 2: Tales From the Open Road Book a 60 Minute Call with Joe Are you buying your first RV or have questions about RVing? My life has been intertwined with PTSD/Trauma and the military. Not only am I the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, I was also married to an active duty member (and Iraq/Afghanistan Veteran) for over 20 years. For 3 years, I volunteered at the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Riley, Kansas providing yoga therapy, meditation, and other holistic treatments to the soldiers, family members, and staff. After seeing others struggle, and having my own personal struggles with trauma/PTSD, I was inspired to create the Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy Program. As a Yoga Therapist and founder of the Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy Program, I guide others in the use of effective, science based yoga therapy and other holistic techniques for the management/healing of symptoms relating to PTSD and trauma for people who want to control their PTSD - not allow it to control them. Recently, I have focused my efforts to working with women who have been sexually traumatized to help them heal their PTSD (and other trauma related issues) with yoga therapy. As a 2x rape survivor, I intimately understand the needs these women face, and help them navigate their healing journeys. I earned my 200 RYT, 500 RYT and was awarded my Certification in Yoga Therapy from the International Association of Yoga Therapy. Additionally, I have completed a 120 Hour YogaFit Warriors training and the MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) online course through the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Currently a student with the Phoenix Rising School of Yoga Therapy, I'm learning another approach to utilizing yoga to help release trauma from the body. I work with people with all types of physical conditions, however, I specialize in working with those suffering from PTSD, TBI's and all trauma-related issues and have been for over the past 5 years.  The Trauma Healing Yoga Therapy

Mrs. Brianne Hudak, M. Ed., is a sixteen-year veteran of education serving in public, private, and charter schools. She is a passionate advocate for the gifted, a certified gifted and talented educator, and supports gifted education through her professional memberships in the National Association of Gifted Children (NAGC), the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (WCGTC), the North Carolina Association of the Gifted and Talented (NCAGT), and the Social-Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG) serving as a state liaison. Her roles in education include teaching the gifted, single-gender, PK3-5th grades, STEM/design engineering, theatre arts, and global studies. She has also held administrative roles as a curriculum and instructional specialist, teacher mentor/coach, student activities director, dean of students, assistant principal, and K-12 school leader. Mrs. Hudak is a certified educational consultant, adjunct professor and field supervisor, and currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership focusing on combating underachievement in the gifted and talented population.    Listen to this episode of Whinypaluza, with Brianne Haduk about understanding the structure of the classroom and education system to better create a plan for your child to succeed when school is a struggle.   Here is what to expect on this week's show: What led Brianne to become passionate about gifted and talented education? What really is “gifted and talented”? It may not be what you think. The biggest challenges of educators and building support systems for G&T kids. Social-emotional challenges of the G&T community. Relationship building between the teacher and the child & their family is key to success. Working as a team to move the child forward- the importance of communication between teacher and parent. Parents can get a better sense of how their child is doing by paying attention to homework and identify immediate challenges they may be having. Gifted and talented children are smart but may have their own challenges or barriers to success, necessitating IEPs and 504s. Parents can bring to the table what they know works and doesn't work for their kids. The more information the teacher has, the better they can do to tailoring education to your child's needs. Being calm and collected is important to having a productive conversation with your child's teacher. Taking time to organize your thoughts and remove emotion can go a long way. If your student is struggling- the first thing to do is establish routines and structure. Use creative terms to take the negativity away from tasks that your child dreads. Instead of “homework time” try “study period,” “research time”, or even bringing in new and engaging ways to learn like watching the History Channel. Approach school/life balance with care. Are extracurriculars interfering with performance in the classroom? There is great power and impact in parents showing a genuine interest in their child's education. Ask questions, have conversations, participate with them.   Connect with Brianne: Website www.helpmehudak.com Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100090175146771 Follow Rebecca Greene Blog  https://www.whinypaluza.com/ Book 1  https://bit.ly/WhinypaluzaBook Book 2 https://bit.ly/whinybook2 Facebook https://www.facebook.com/whinypaluzaparentingandmarriage  Instagram https://www.instagram.com/becgreene5/ @becgreene5 TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@whinypaluzamom?lang=en @whinypaluzamom YouTube https://www.youtube.com/WhinyPaluza     Learn more about your ad choices.
