In 2016, Brad Miller, CEO of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PTSA), had an idea. What if subsidized rides with Transportation Networking Companies (TNCs) like Uber and Lyft could help people in his community get where they needed to go. What if you could get a subsidized Uber ride at the end of your overnight shift when regular transit isn't running and be able to get home safely?
