Send us a textThe war between the two queens has finally kicked off....and Cersei was out to get her licks back. This episode, Jon Snow and Davos goes to meet with Daenerys Targaryen on Dragonstone. He is there to ask for help in the form of dragonglass so he can beat the White Walkers. In King's Landing, Euron Greyjoy pulls up to greet Cersei, to deliver Ellaria Sand and Tyene Sand. He trying to slide in. Over at the Citadel, Samwell and Archmaester Ebrose examine a healed Jorah Mormont, and Sam is both questioned and "punished" for what he did. In Winterfell, Sansa Stark is reunited with her brother Bran Stark who refuses to be Lord of Winterfell. At Casterly Rock, the Unsullied infiltrate and capture the castle, but Euron's Iron Fleet arrives and leaves them on stuck. And finally,  Jaime goes to take Highgarden, and to extract Cersei's get back on OG Olenna T. Daenerys has taken Meereen, but Astapor and Yunkai are backsliding. She forgives Barristan Selmy for his failures to protect her family, but banishes Jorah Mormont from her sight. She'll stay in Meereen and rule. Mackelly and Simon settle in to watch some dragons grow.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen surveys Meereen from the great pyramid. She's bothered by flies who've gathered to feast on the many dead, including the 163 she crucified as payment for what they did to the slave children.She meets an envoy from Astapor. The council she appointed have all lost their heads, literally, and a former (and apparently current) butcher Cleon, has made himself King. He offers his hand in marriage. Dany is distinctly disinterested. The second petitioner is a Qartheen trader. He has goods he wants to trade for slaves. He's surely barking up the wrong tree. Only Daario Naharis confirms that many freed slaves are down at the docks offering to reenter slavery. Dany begrudgingly allows it and imposes a tax on the trade to swell her own coffers.Next she sees Ser Barristan Selmy and Ser Jorah Mormont. The former gives it to her straight. Her father was mad, Viserys had the hallmarks too. Robert Baratheon was a great knight, and could have been a good king. She appreciates the candor and reinstates him to her service. Mormont tries a similar tack. He spied for Varys for a pardon, as recently as Qarth. But this is too much for Dany. We pick up where we left off with Jorah Mormont stealing a boat to navigate with his captive, Tyrion. Aboard a merchant ship, Jaime and Bronn sail to Dorne to rescue Myrcella and getting betrayed and caught up while doing so. Cersei has the Iron Bank on her ass and they want 10% of what's owed to them...and she ain't got it. She sends Mace Tyrell to go talk to them as well as getting him out of the way.  Cersei also plots with the High Sparrow to try and manipulate the faith to do her dirty work. The faith attacks the bars and brothels and takes Loras as captive for being gay. We also see Ellaria and the sandsnakes decide to do what Oberyn's brother won't do...avenge his death against the Lannisters. The Red Priestess tried to throw that hotbox on Jon and he refuses. In this episode, Mole's Town is attacked by wildlings, and everyone is killed except Gilly and her baby, who were spared by Ygritte. After being coached by Ramsey, Theon Greyjoy negotiated with the remaining ironborn at Moat Cailin and convinced them to bend the knee to spare their lives. After seeing Ramsey take Moat Cailin, Roose Bolton legitimized his bastard son Ramsay and gave him the Bolton name. Lil Finger got hemmed up by the Lords of the Vale following Lysa Arryn's death. Sansa showed she is learning to play the game by lying for Lil Finger to ensure her own safety. The Hound and Arya Stark arrived at the Eyrie, only to learn Arya'd aunt was dead. After being outed by Ser Barriston Selmy, Jorah Mormont admits to Dany that he spied on her for Robert Baratheon years earlier. She told him to pack his shit and that he is banished from Meereen. Finally, Tyrion's trial by combat takes place in King's Landing. Daenerys and her host reach the walls of Meereen. She picks a champion to face the city's hero in man-to-man combat. She meets an old foe and is saved by an unlikely defender. Finally, she discovers two huge secrets and reels from the shocking truth. Mackelly and Simon thank the Seven it's not them who deceived her.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen and her host of freed people make camp outside the walls of Meereen. A hero waits for Dany outside the city walls. Dany sends Strong Belwas to face the Meereenese hero. The fight doesn't last long, ending in Belwas decapitating the other man.Later, Dany discusses ways to defeat the city, with her council. Nobody has any useful ideas, so she dismisses them. While ruminating on the task in front of her, she considers Daario Naharis. Dany fancies him and wonders what it'd be like to take him as a lover. She puts the thought aside and goes for a ride, with Missandei and Arstan Whitebeard for company. Dany allows her people to touch her, as she rides by. However, one man pulls her from her saddle. It's Mero, the former commander of the Second Sons. Mero moves to kill her but Arstan instead easily defeats him.Back inside her tent, Dany wants Jorah to knight Arstan for his efforts. Both men balk at that. It's then that Jorah realizes who Arstan really is. He introduces Arstan as Ser Barristan Selmy, a traitor to the Targaryans, for serving under Robert the Usurper. Barristan scoffs at the hypocrisy and tells Dany of Jorah's treason, selling information about her and her brother to Lord Varys, as part of a pardon agreement. Dany is angry and hurt and sends both men away. Daenerys surveys the Yunkish host awaiting her. She meets with, then offers deals and deadlines to, the leaders of the enemy force. She makes a possible new friend, berates an old one, and gets a history lesson about her brother Rhaegar. Simon and Mackelly ponder buyer's remorse with sellsword armies.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen surveys the host awaiting her own outside the gates of Yunkai. She asks Ser Jorah Mormont to invite the leaders of the three factions of the force to meet her in her tent, spreading out the meeting times so she can meet with each group separately. She offers the sellsword company the Stormcrows an alliance, wanting an answer the next day. She offers the leader of the sellsword company the Second Sons a wagon of wine to consider joining her side, again wanting an answer the next day. Finally, she offers the Yunkai envoy three days to send out every slave in the city loaded down with goods and gold. If they do as asked, they and their city will be spared. When the men have left, she tells her council that they'll attack an hour after midnight, while the enemy are distracted by her offers.Later that night, Daario Naharis one of the leaders of the Stormcrows is found in camp. He tells Dany the Stormcrows are hers, as is he. Jorah is uncertain of the man's intentions. Dany disregards Ser Jorah and sends Daario back to prepare his men to turn their cloaks when the battle begins. She then lashes out at Jorah for pushing all other men away. She loves and respects him, but does not desire him.As the battle begins, Dany and Arstan Whitebeard pass the time discussing her brother Rhaegar. Their conversation is cut off by the news of their victory against the Yunkish force. The Stormcrows fought on Dany's side, as Daario promised. Three days later, the slaves of Yunkai are freed. Daenerys buys the Unsullied army that she needs but pays a huge cost. Not only the three ships and all their contents, but also her dragon Drogon. However, she has a nasty surprise in store for the slavers. Simon and Mackelly consider the economic crimes that pave Daenerys' path to the Iron Throne.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen is willing to pay any price to get her Unsullied slave army. Ultimately, she and the masters of Astapor agree upon the sum: the three ships she sailed into Slaver's Bay on, all of their contents, and… Drogon. Arstan Whitebeard pleads with Dany not to agree to that last bit, but she has him removed from her presence. In return, Dany gets all 8,600 fully-trained Unsullied, along with the partially trained, the recently-cut boys, and the translator slave named Missandei. That night, on board her ship Balerion, she has a vision of Quaithe repeating the riddle she told Dany in Qarth. The next morning she rides to the meeting place among her meager force, including all three dragons. She hands the chain attached to Drogon's neck to Kraznys mo Nakloz and receives the ceremonial whip indicating she now has control over the Unsullied. While Kraznys and the other masters struggle controlling Drogon, Dany rides past the Unsullied shouting to them in High Valyrian that she now owns them and they'll do as she says.She turns back to Drogon and shouts "Dracarys." The dragon bathes Krasnys in flame. The other two dragons are released and all three begin pouring fire down on the Astapori elite in attendance. She commands the Unsullied to kill anyone wearing a tokar, free all slaves, but leave any children unharmed. Daenerys is sailing the Summer Sea watching her dragons grow. She receives ambiguous reports of the kind of men her father and eldest brother were, advice from Ser Jorah as to her next move, and possibly unwanted advances from Mormont. Simon and Mackelly weigh up the suitors and their suits.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen watches her dragons play above the three ships that bear her west towards Pentos, slowly. The dragons are growing, but remain more of a liability than an asset. In her honor, the three ships have been renamed for dragons of Aegon the Conqueror and his sister wives: Balerion, Meraxes, and Vhagar.Arstan Whitebeard provides some dragon-lore from his time in King's Landing where he knew both her father and her brother Rhaegar. He treads carefully, but it's not hard to see his true feelings about King Aerys. And unlike most people, he has a nuanced view of Rhaegar. “Able above all else” is not the most ringing endorsement.Ser Jorah warns her to beware of Arstan - something's not right about him. But Dany has too few friends to doubt those who've saved her life. Ser Jorah proposes a plan to both test Illyrio Mopatis' loyalty to Dany, and to ensure it. They'll redirect for Astapor, sell all Mopatis' goods on the ships, and use that money to buy an army of Unsullied - the finest warriors in Essos - with whom they'll march to Pentos.Dany likes the plan and Ser Jorah celebrates by kissing her unbidden. Daenerys fends off proposals of marriage and trade from Xaro Xhoan Daxos and accepts his insistence that she leave both his home and Qarth. She's given a deadly gift from a stranger but is saved by new friends bearing good news. Simon and Mackelly pack their bags for Pentos.Chapter Review:Xaro Xhoan Daxos tells Daenerys Targaryen that she's worn out her welcome in Qarth, after her role in the destruction of the House of the Undying. Many want her banished, some want her dead. Xaro makes one final proposal of marriage, which Dany rejects. He then offers a trade of ships for a dragon. Again, she says no. Xaro wants her out and his gifts back.Dany and her bloodriders head to the docks, in search of a ship to take them out of the city. Asking for much, with little to offer, they face rejection after rejection. Ser Jorah Mormont realizes that they're being followed. Dany turns to confront the followers, but is handed a box by a stranger. Without thinking, she opens the box to find a manticore. Before it can attack her, one of the men following her knocks the box out of her hands and kills the manticore.It seems the men who had been following her were sent  by Illyrio Mopatis. They've brought ships to take her, her khalasar, and her dragons to Pentos. Dany is grateful but wants the ships renamed to Balerion, Meraxes, and Vhagar. Daenerys fails to convince any of the grandees of Qarth to fund her plans to invade Westeros. Factions vye for her favor, but all seem bent on ownership of her dragons. She decides that it's time to see the warlocks. Mackelly and Simon survey her options. Chapter Review: Daenerys Targaryen rides in Xaro Xhoan Daxos' palanquin having been rebuffed by the Pureborn of Qarth. Her bribes and supplications were for nothing. She was a novelty to them and no more. He reiterates his offer to marry her and provide all that she will ever need. Qarth custom is that married couples maintain their own property, so she would not have to share her dragons. However, Dany thinks he's more interested in the young male servants that populate his house. They stop to watch a firemage perform amazing tricks, and Dany is approached by Quaithe. The shadowbinder explains that the firemage's powers have skyrocketed since Dany arrived. The dragons amplify magic. Quaithe again warns Dany that nobody is to be trusted, that all want her dragons for themselves, and that she should go east to Asshai to find the truth. Later, Ser Jorah tells Dany the one fact that Xaro is concealing. On their wedding day, each can ask the other for a gift that cannot be denied. One of her dragons would surely be forfeit. They conclude that they're not getting anywhere, but Dany cannot understand why the comet led them to Qarth if not to provide them with soldiers and ships. On the latest episode of #talkinthrones, Dom & Pat break down Episode 3 of this tale of Ice & Fire, entitled Lord Snow. It's the single Rotten season of one of the greatest TV shows ever made and left some fans as cold as a member of the Night's Watch who forgot his coat. But were critics and audiences too harsh on season 8?

We rejoin the Mother of Dragons as she chooses to traverse the barren Red Waste, to avoid her many enemies. The going is arduous and her Khalasar is diminished still further. Outriders find the city of Qarth, emissaries of which are very keen to meet the dragons. Ser Jorah, Mackelly, and Simon all reckon she needs to tread carefully. Chapter Review: Daenerys Targaryen considers her options. All directions are bad. Her Khalasar is miniscule and mostly comprises those unable to fight. Her dragons are suckling babes unable to defend themselves. Her enemies abound. The comet seems to point south east - so that way they go into the desert known as the Red Waste.Things go badly and many people (including Doreah) and horses die before they discover an abandoned city with fruit trees and wells. They rest there. Ser Jorah tells his queen of his former life as Lord of Bear Island. How he fell in love with Lynesse Hightower and married her. But her need for finer things bankrupted Jorah leading to a life of crime, and ultimately to his self-imposed banishment to Essos. He tells the Khaleesi that she looks like Lynesse. Dany sends her three bloodriders on as scouts, in different directions. The first two return empty-handed, but Jhogo comes back with three dignitaries from the city of Qarth. Dany wakes to a whole slew of bad news. Her baby Rhaego was stillborn and monstrous. Khal Drogo is alive but catatonic. The Khalasar is gone. The boys take a long hard look at Mirri Maz Duur's medical license and consider what Dany's options are now. Chapter Review: Daenerys  Targaryen has vivid dreams about the waking of the dragon. The dreams begin with the familiar warning, “You don't want to wake the dragon, do you?” But as the dream narrows and becomes more prophetic, the words are dropped until all that is left is a rather different order(?)/suggestion(?) “Wake the dragon.” When the all-too-human Daenerys wakes, it is to an entirely different world. Rhaego was born but was a creature of nightmares, with leathery wings and a tail. He did not survive. Drogo lives, but his spirit is gone. She confronts Mirri Maz Duur who, despite having a few things she could say to save herself, admits that she was seeking revenge for what happened to her people. Drogo lives, but his life is intolerably circumscribed. Mirri points out that her own life was rich and full until Drogo came. She is unrepentant. Dany does everything in her power to revive Drogo, but nothing works. When she's convinced that he cannot come back to her, she smothers him with a pillow. Dany survives a poisoning plot thanks to Ser Jorah's timely intervention. Khal Drogo is so grateful he gives Mormont a horse and Dany what she wishes: the Khalasar will cross the Narrow Sea and take back the Iron Throne for her. Mackelly and Simon fortify their castles in anticipation. Chapter Review: Khal Drogo has got no interest in Westeros. As far as he is concerned, the world that his future son Rhaego will mount ends at the Narrow Sea. Daenerys Targaryen doesn't push her luck (who would after witnessing Viserys' coronation?) Drogo goes hunting. Daenerys goes to the market. Ser Jorah gets news from Westeros. A wine-seller digs out a special cask just for the Khaleesi. Ser Jorah thinks the merchant should sample his own wares. The man apparently doesn't like wine and tries unsuccessfully to high-tail it out of there. Wait a minute! It was poison. A letter from Illyrio Mopatis to Viserys confirms that a lordship is on offer to anyone who can murder a Targaryen. Daenerys feels the dragon stirring within her, and tries to wake her dragon eggs with fire. No luck. Drogo kills a white lion, but that is quickly forgotten when he learns of the plot. The usurper tried to kill his wife, in Vaes Dothrak? He has gone too far. The best horse in the khalasar for Ser Jorah for saving Daenerys. “ I assume you’re here to bend the knee?” Daenerys asks Jon Snow expectantly. Jon Snow replies “I am not.” Season 7 conclusion begins in suspense as Jon Snow and Ser Davos arrive at Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys Targaryen. Upon their arrival, Varys and Melisandre have a conversation about each other’s future in Westeros. “Oh I will return dear spider. One last time. I have to die in this strange country just like you.” Melisandre tells Varys knowingly. Jon and Daenerys converse for the first time and Jon tells her and Tyrion about the army of the dead. They argue and trade facts about history and loyalties with neither backing down. “So many men have tried to kill me, I don't remember all their names. I have been sold like a broodmare. I've been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. Do you know what kept me standing through all those years in exile? Faith. Not in any gods. Not in myths and legends. In myself. In Daenerys Targaryen.” Daenerys boasts to Jon. Varys interrupts this interaction with grave news about the Greyjoys and the Sand Snakes. At King’s Landing Euron Greyjoy brings Cersei the priceless gift he promised. Euron and Jaime have a less than friendly interaction while Cersei gets her revenge for Myrcella’s death. Cersei meets with Tycho Nestoris from the Iron Bank of Bravos and they discuss the Lannister. Back at Dragonstone Tyrion and Jon talk of the White Walkers with Jon asking Tyrion if he believes him. “I trust the eyes of an honest man more than I trust what everyone knows.” Tyrion says in response. Jon asks Daenerys to allow him to mine the dragonglass. While in Winterfell, Sansa is growing into her own and making executive decisions as the Lady of Winterfell. Meera brings Bran to Winterfell and Sansa and Bran see each other for the first time since Season 1. Bran tries to describe to Sansa the role of the Three-Eyed Raven in unsettling fashion. In the Citadel, Jorah Mormont has been cured of Grayscale and is ready to return to his Queen. Meanwhile, the Unsullied take Casterly Rock only to find out they were tricked. High Garden falls to Jaime and the Lannister army, Olenna drinks the poison and gives Jaime a confession. Jaime leads his army back to King’s Landing with all of High Gardens’s gold and harvest crops. Meanwhile, Cersei gets an interesting proposition from Tycho. In Winterfell, Petyr Baelish approaches Bran where he finds that even with all of his wits, he can’t fool someone who literally knows everything. Arya arrives in Winterfell for the first time since Season 1 and reunites with her sister and brother, and Bran gives Arya an important gift. Back at Dragonstone, Jon shows Daenerys the dragonglass and some interesting hieroglyphics that provide evidence to the existence of the Night King. Daenerys learns of latest failure at Casterly Rock and is ready to burn it all down. Before she makes a decision, she asks Jon his advice to which he tells her “If you use them to melt castles and burn cities, you’re not different. You’re just more of the same.” In Winterfell, Arya and Brienne have an epic spar while at Dragonstone, and Jon and Theon see each other for the first time since Jon left for the Night’s Watch. Randyll Tarly informs Jaime and Bronn that all of the gold is safely secured in King’s Landing, but that relief is short lived as Daenerys arrives to show them who the real Queen is. Upon her return to Dragonstone, an old knight pledges himself to her once more, and Tyrion devises a plan to make Cersei believe in the threat to the North. In Winterfell, Sansa is tempted by The Northern houses. Tyrion meets with Jaime to convince him to have Cersei agree to armistice, and Ser Davos collects an old friend from Flea Bottom. In the Citadel, Gilly comes across perhaps the most important discovery in Maester Maynards’ records, while Arya in Winterfell makes a shocking discovery of her own. At The Wall, the A-Team of Westeros go beyond to bring back a wight. After dangerous encounters with creatures of the dead, Jon and company catch a wight only to be surrounded by the Night King and his army. Is this the end for them? Or will someone come to save the day? If they do survive, will Cersei have a change of heart when presented the proof or was it all for naught? The Night King adds the most dangerous ally to his army, while in Winterfell, the Stark sisters rid themselves of a dangerous ally of their own. Bran and Sam together fit the final pieces together about Jon’s true lineage, while two relatives are rocking the boat. Meanwhile unbeknownst to anyone except the men holding The Wall at Eastwatch By The Sea, Winter is officially coming to Westeros. Take a dive with the Riddikulus Crew into the conclusion of Season 7 in our 3 and ½ hour special as things begin to come full circle, while other questions are raised. Where does Jon Snow go from here? In the words of Bran Stark “He’s never been a bastard, he’s the heir to the Iron Throne.”

The monster episodes just keep coming! Would you expect anything less for the ending of a Storm of Swords? Today we only have four chapters, and it's still nearly as long as last week. Today is a day for tough questions on the nature of betrayal, the nature of unintended evil, and how big of a fist a human skull can withstand. We get a chapter full of Littlefinger creepiness (Get used to that), Jon defends the Wall against both wildlings AND bullies, Tyrion finishes one trial and begins another, and we wave goodbye to the wonderful Storm-Daenerys as she takes Meereen. "A girl has been given a second chance, there will not be a third." says Jaquen H'ghar to Arya as we kick off the continuation of Season 6 Game of Thrones Episodes 5, 6 & 7. In the lair of the Three-Eyed Raven, we learn about how the Night King was created. Over in the Iron Islands there is a Kingsmoot for the Salt Throne and Euron Greyjoy pulls off the upset. Meanwhile, Jorah Mormont reveals his greyscale to Daenerys which means his certain death and as he bids her farewell to Daenerys, she tells him "Do not walk away from your queen, Jorah the Andal. You have not been dismissed." at last forgiving him for his betrayal. Bran goes behind the Three-Eyed Raven's back and enters a vision on his own, only to realize his folly too late as the Night King is able to grab him by the wrist in the vision, marking him. The Three-Eyed Raven awakens and knows what has just happened and tell Bran that he must now become the new Three-Eyed Raven because the magic of the lair will no longer keep the Night King out since he marked Bran. Bran asks the Three-Eyed Raven if he is even ready to take on this task, the Three-Eyed Raven tells him no. At Castle Black, Jon Snow is preparing with his war council for the upcoming battle against Ramsay Bolton and the other houses of the North. They realize they are vastly outnumbered so Sansa sends Brienne to Riverrun to request assistance from her uncle Brynden the Blackfish. The Night King arrives at the lair and Meera, Hodor and Bran have to escape with some help from Summer and Leaf. Is it going to be enough though? It will all come down to someone holding a door closed against the many wights. As we cruise into Episode 6, we get an interesting reunion with a certain familiar First Ranger that we haven't seen since Season 1. Sam and Gilly meet Sam's family at Horn Hill which goes about as good as you could expect, Arya screws up her second chance with the faceless men and the High Sparrow outsmarts Cersei, Olenna and Jaime Lannister once more. Brynden the Blackfish has retaken Riverrun and Walder Frey learns of this from his sons and then commands them to retake it using a certain hostage. On the road back to Mereen, Daenerys finds Dragon and mounts him while giving a speech to her new Khalasar. She says, "“Ei khal fin thir nak haan okhe sen dothrakhqoy alo ji qisi mae m’auijazeri ath dineur mae vas ma anha vos khal. Anha vo vakkan sen dothrakhqoy. Anha okkak el yeri. Anha qafak asqoy yeroa, majin yeri m’athiri m’athiri m’ adrivoe ven qoy qoyi m’adothrae ami m’aulijezeri anna athzhowakaroon. Aha aquafak san ale yeroa ei khaloon ray wad khaasaroon mae! Hash Yeri adotnrae hazef ido yomme kazga? Hash yeri vaddrivi dozge cunni mea khogaroon shiqeti mori masin vohhari okrenegwin mori? Hash yeri vozhi anhaan rhaeshis, an Dahli, jin azo me Khal Drogo ast asqoly mehas hatif maisi krazaji, kash shieraki vitihir asavvesoon? Hash yeri m’ayyeyaan?!” (Every khal who ever lived chose three Bloodriders to fight beside him and guard his way. I am not a Khal. I will not choose three Bloodriders. I choose you all. Will you ride the wooden horses across the Black Salt Sea? Will you kill my enemies in their iron suits and tear down their stone houses? Will you give me the Seven Kingdoms? Daenerys Targaryen is embracing her role as khaleesi of the Dothraki khalasar. Her brother Viserys isn't fitting in so well. When she gives a command that applies to him, she Wakes the Dragon. Only it's Viserys who ends up sobbing in the dirt. Chapter Review: In chapter 23 of "A Game of Thrones", from the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, Daenerys Targaryen gets her first look at the Dothraki Sea. She finds it beautiful. When she gives the command not to follow her, while she rides into it, her brother Viserys is enraged. She pushes back for the first time and as she waits for the retaliation Jhogo whips Viserys in the neck and drags him to the ground. Daeny doesn't want him hurt, but makes him walk behind the khalasar, one of the worst punishments in Dothraki culture. Daeny and Ser Jorah discuss Viserys being unfit to rule, and the smallfolk not caring who rules them. The chapter ends with Daeny being pregnant, on her 14th nameday. Daenerys completes phase 1 of her protracted marriage to Khal Drogo. Receives some pretty rocking wedding presents. The chaps discuss it all in light of the #metoo movement. Mackelly rashly insults Jason Momoa. And a special guest contributes to a new crop of outtakes. Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen marries Khal Drogo in Pentos in a wild Dothraki ceremony. She receives gifts of three new handmaidens to help her with the transition from slightly sheltered princess, to horse-riding, Dothraki-talking, Drogo-loving Khaleesi. She gets Westerosi books from Jorah Mormont, now pledged to the Targaryen cause. Three petrified dragon eggs from Illyrio Mopatis. And a wonderful horse from Khal Drogo. Viserys wants to cut the ceremony short to go invade Westeros, but wiser heads prevail (by basically ignoring him). The consummation of the marriage is marginally less awful than Daeny anticipated, as Drogo proves himself to be something of a romantic, with a degree of tenderness that he certainly hides from the khalasar. Characters/Places/Names/Events Daenerys Targaryen - The stormborn daughter of Mad King Aerys. Hello, lords and ladies of the realm! After playing chicken with a pair of Dany's dragons and the lengthiest hiatus yet, The Cast Beyond the Wall has returned with recap and review of the Game of Thrones season 8 premiere, "Winterfell."  Host Caleb Masters is re-joined by co-hosts Austin Lucari and Daniel Stull to do a scene by scene breakdown of one of the year's most anticipated events in entertainment. "Winterfell" started with a throwback to the very first episode of Thrones as Jon Snow and Daenerys Stormborn reached the end of their trip up the Kingsroad to the titular castle. The extra soldiers to fight the dead may be appreciated, but the tension and skepticism between the mother of dragons and the northerners, including Sansa Stark, is uneasy at best. The alliance between houses Stark and Targaryen may not be a sealed deal yet, but the episode provided a number of long-awaited reunions between our characters. For the first time since season one's second episode "The Kingsroad," Arya Stark and Jon Snow are reunited in what may be one of the most heartwarming moments of the series. Not every character meeting is quite so happy. In a very Thrones-esque twist, Samwell Tarley learns the grisly fates of his father and brother when he reconnects with Jorah Mormont and meets Daenerys for the first time. All of this is capped off with Sam revealing Jon's true heritage. The Cast Beyond the Wall is back recapping each and every moment with Caleb, Daniel, and Austin locking in predictions and laying out their final theories as they evaluate whether or not "Winterfell" successfully kicks off the final season.
