Through bites and claw marks, we soldier on in our Resident Evil franchise retrospective by tackling the second pairing of movies — Resident Evil: Extinction and Resident Evil: Afterlife! Like the T-Virus, the series has mutated to something indescribably heinous, devouring even more money than its first two iterations. Now, sit back, toast to that infection with a Social Studies Pizza Party from Streetside Brewing, and protect your eyes from the crows! The Thunderous Wizard and Chumpzilla are having far too much fun watching Bling Blake struggle to climb the prop Eiffel Tower. This Week's Segments: Introduction/Plot Breakdown – Extinction! Experimentation! Evolution! Lingering Questions – Honestly, what the hell is happening? (55:56) The "If the Bus is Rockin', It's Probably Zombie Birds" Trivia Challenge – Bling Blake challenges the field to trivia about the movie. Has the remake changed how we feel about the original? How does RE3 fit into the series? Is it unfairly given a bronze medal? Which ending can Sherwin never get? Which character does Psy think has been praised too highly? And would staying on a crashing train make you a bit skittish? In the news, RE4R's mysterious update and a release date for the George A. You can call this one a remake! Back in 1999, Capcom released their third Biohazard title. This episode is about the remake of that survival horror game, which was likewise developed by Capcom. With over twenty years and countless franchise entries separating the two, it is clear the actual development teams were comprised of different individuals. This leaves long-time fans to wonder: which team did it best? Updating Resident Evil for the modern action-favoring audience is sure to disappoint some purists, but will the graphical overhaul and tighter story prove a worthwhile trade? Join Tom and Chris as they take another shot at this famous franchise and learn if they really want to sink their teeth into this one. What do you think? Let us know! Sometimes you just have the play the ball as it lies. We made this bed to finish Summer of Resi 2024 with the remake of Resident Evil 3 so, by god, we had a lie in it. Is it really as bad as people say (not really)? Is it a terrible remake of the original (pretty much)? We have some pretty strong feelings on this one, and there are many laughs to be had along the way. Hey! Rate this podcast 5* and tell your mates! Hey! We're on BlueSky now because Elon is a weapons grade bellend! We're still on X though, and it's @winnerisyoupod on whichever of those you choose to use. This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch watched a video game movie about a hidden gem called Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It was good. Come hear us talk about it!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Resident Evil 3. The game is a faithful reimagining of the original, with updated graphics, gameplay mechanics, and a few new surprises thrown in for good measure. Fans of the series will not be disappointed, and newcomers will find plenty to love in this terrifying and thrilling survival horror experience. Capcom has once again delivered a masterpiece, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ongamecast/support

This week I offer up my thoughts on Resident Evil 3 Remake, a remake of what was supposed to be a side content story in the franchise. There was a lot of gamer upset about this title, and it came out during a bad time, but overall I think it succeeded far more than many would believe. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/deleted-saves/support
Keeping it Zen-like with a Rolife Book Nook Shelf Insert, staying focused in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, nodding along gently to Hi-Fi RUSH, relaxing with Thorolf with Catan: The Helpers, and running around terrified fighting for our lives against the gibbering zombie horde with Resident Evil 3: The Board Game. Plus, McDonald's milkshake? 00:00 - The Spray 06:16 - Rolife Book Nook Shelf Insert 16:18 - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy 34:30 - Hi-Fi RUSH 45:44 - Catan: The Helpers 58:58 - Resident Evil 3: The Board Game All that, and we don't go into the bathroom, with Dan (@ThisDanFrost), Kris (@DigitalStrider), Peter (@XeroXeroXero), and Sam (@MrSamTurner). This may be Jill's last escape, but it's far from our last Resident Evil episode! This time we talk about the controversial remake of the third mainline Resident Evil title. Join us as we discuss frequent cussing, booty detective-ing, and way more games in the series than we expected (here's your spoiler warning)!Note: The music track at the start of the episode is “The Last Escape”, composed by Masami Ueda for the BIOHAZARD 3 LAST ESCAPE Original Soundtrack. The original Witcher game is 15 years old, and recently CD Projekt Red has announced that it will be getting a complete open-world remake! In this episode of Podcast Beyond, Max Scoville, Jada Griffin, and Colin Stevens talk about other games they think would benefit from open-world remakes as well. Also, we take a look at some hilarious Platinum-farming shovelware that requires you to... stroke a turtle? Yeah, we're as confused as you are. Wait till you see Italian Journey! You won't believe what kind of games have managed to make it into the PlayStation Store. Finally, Max comes to a realization that Bloodborne is like parenting? Utter madness.
This week the ladies are continuing their play through of the Resident Evil series, and talking about the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3. This game picks up after the events of Resident Evil (One) in Racoon City, and you play as Jill Valentine.
